(Clearwisdom.net) Some fellow practitioners have recently sent me articles from personal blogs run by practitioners. These articles often make a point of discussing high-level principles of the universe. Some of the writers might have had supernatural experiences, and they even put forward their estimations on sensitive issues such as the progress of the Fa-rectification.

Practitioners are sometimes moved by these articles. Instead of focusing on the three things, they focus too much on the outcome of cultivation, forgetting that the outcome depends on action. If we are cultivating ourselves to the Fa's standard and doing the three things well, those outcomes will appear naturally. Thus, there is really no point in guessing what will happen. The future is realized by every step that we take, not by a blueprint defined by practitioners. If you waste your time focusing on the outcome, you may only be able to see off other practitioners when the time is up. You will not be given the same opportunity again. A true cultivator should always be aware of his or her shortcomings by comparing himself with Dafa's standards, and work hard to meet them.

If the purpose of running blogs is to save sentient beings, then the practitioners who run them should write about exposing the evil and showing the facts about Falun Dafa in ways that are palatable to everyday people. Personal understanding of the Fa principles is a touchy topic because these articles are publicized on the Internet without being reviewed, and the authors can write anything they want. Sometimes, when these practitioners want to quote Master, but can't use direct quotations, so as to avoid Internet censoring [in China], they use Master's words without indicating the source. This can easily lead to abusing the Fa, and ordinary readers will not be able to enlighten because the Fa is not presented properly. If the purpose of running blogs is validating the practitioners themselves, then it is wrong to start with.

Our Falun Dafa disciples can share our experiences of cultivating and saving sentient beings on the Clearwisdom website, which is safeguarded by Master. The website is a lighthouse to help guide us. If the topics and content of the articles are in line with the Fa, they will be published for all practitioners and the world to read.

I am not criticizing all blogs run by practitioners. The best standard that we can use to determine whether articles are in line with the Fa or not is to ask ourselves if these articles could be published on official Dafa websites. Some of these practitioner-writers know that they wouldn't be, and they complain about how Clearwisdom doesn't appreciate their contributions. So they put the articles on their own blogs. Some articles are written in such a outlandish manner that it's clear they have gone astray.

I would like to suggest that practitioners not publish articles on cultivation experiences on personal blogs. I remember when I first learned to write, how much I liked to show off my articles. I submitted articles to the Clearwisdom editors, but seldom were any published. Naturally, I developed some complaints. At that point, some practitioners suggested that I run my own blog. However, instead of following their suggestion, I looked inward and realized that my heart of showing off was so strong that the thoughts in my articles could not be pure. No matter what we do, we must not try to separate ourselves from the main body of Dafa disciples.

We should understand that our wisdom and capabilities are from the Fa, so they should be used to validate the Fa. Writing and sharing cultivation experiences is part of cultivation, an on-going process of improving ourselves. We should not seek outcomes like articles being published, because the process is about improvement, not the results. Master knows all that we do.

During the Fa-rectification, we need to consider all Dafa disciples. Because Clearwisdom cannot accommodate everyone and every submitted article, and because it is the window through which everyday people can learn about us, the Clearwisdom editors need to follow high standards. We disciples should support the website unconditionally. Even if our articles are really good, we should not be seeking so much to publish them that others have no chance to do so.
