(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of February 16, 2011, more than 100 Koreans affiliated with the Association of Patriotic Organizations and Citizens and the Korean Falun Dafa Association, along with local citizens of Busan, held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate in Busan, calling for Deputy Consul-General Jin Yanguang, who violated the rights of Korean citizens, to be expelled from the country.
Although his attempts eventually failed, Jin and his assistants infiltrated into the Korean government and different organizations and tried every possible means to keep Shen Yun Performing Arts from appearing on stage in Korea.
On the morning of February 16, more than a hundred Koreans rallied in front of the Chinese Consulate in Busan, calling for the expulsion of Deputy Consul-General Jin Yanguang, who violated the rights of Korean citizens.
Ms. Shin, President of the Association of Patriotic Organizations and Citizens
Ms. Shin, President of the Association of Patriotic Organizations and Citizens, had stern words of condemnation for the deputy consul-general at the rally, saying, “Jin Yanguang called the TV station and told outright lies. He said the Shen Yun shows were canceled and pressured the station to stop airing its ads for the show. Jin treated the Korean nation with such contempt and resorted to such hooligan conduct!”
Ms. Shin emphasized, “Jin Yanguang lacks the basic qualities of a diplomat. He should be barred from Busan City Hall and its city council, police department, courts, procuratorates, schools, and official facilities, and be expelled. We should safeguard our rights as citizens and our dignity.”
Mr. Pei Xianmin, an assistant with the Korean Falun Dafa Association's Busan Station, said, “The officials of the Chinese Communist Party fear the restoration of traditional Chinese culture. Every year they take it upon themselves to pressure the theaters and local governments, attempting to interfere with, sabotage, and stop the Shen Yun Performing Arts shows. Jin Yanguang threatened the Busan Cultural Center and Busan City government to get them to cancel their contracts with Shen Yuan Performing Arts, claiming the show would sour the relationship between Korea and China. They even told downright lies to the TV station, saying the shows were canceled, and told the TV station stop airing the Shen Yun ad.”
According to the Korean Falun Dafa Association, Chen Hai with the Government Affairs Department of the Chinese Embassy and Wang Chuan, an employee of the Cultural Department of the Chinese Embassy, called a theater and the local government in Goyang to slander Shen Yun Performing Arts and ask them to cancel their contracts. The theater did not comply, saying they had no right to stop the show and no evidence that the show was cancelled.
