(Clearwisdom.net) From November 17 to 19, 2011, the ASEAN Summit and the East Asia Summit were held in Bali, Indonesia. Leaders of every country in the region gathered to attend. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) premier was also in attendance. Nearly 100 Falun Gong practitioners held an event on the beach behind Discovery Mall in Kuta, Bali. They did the exercises, displayed banners, and called on delegates to pay attention to China’s human rights abuses and help stop the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong.

Police blocked the entry of nearly 100 practitioners in a village near Kuta and did not allow them to join the practice and sit-in on the beach. The police did not give a specific reason for their actions. Not so long ago, practitioners doing the exercises on the beach were interfered with. A local administrative official announced that the practitioners were not allowed to exercise or sit-in on the beach.

“We believe that this was interference by the CCP regime,” said a practitioner who coordinated the event. “Falun Gong has no political agenda. Our peaceful protest is our way of calling for justice and stopping the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.”

An insider disclosed that the CCP not only exerted pressure on the Indonesian police and local administrative officials, but also gave them money to get them to interfere with the Falun Gong practitioners’ activity. The CCP fears that its persecution of Falun Gong will be further exposed.

In the second half of October at a tourist destination, a large poster board exposing the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong was targeted. A local security head said that practitioners were not allowed to display the poster. Otherwise, he would arrest them. He claimed that he had been pressured by high level officials in Jakarta.

Bali is a well-known tourist destination. At least 500 Chinese tourists come to visit every day. Among Falun Gong practitioners in Indonesia, two-thirds live in Bali. They tell the Chinese tourists the facts about Falun Gong, resulting in many of them withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
