(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhao Mei, in her 40s, had a very hard life before she started to practice Falun Gong in May of 2006. At that time, she was involved in a car accident after she was laid off and lost her voice. Her ribs were broken and the soft tissue on her right ankle was injured. Because of financial difficulties, she left the hospital as soon as she felt a bit better.

When she could not see any hope, a Falun Gong practitioner went to see her, telling her life is precious and left a copy of Zhuan Falun for her. She remembered the practitioner's words and read the book. After serious consideration, she decided to practice Falun Gong. In one month, she could get out of bed and care for her own basic needs. Even her doctor said it was a miracle.

However, because of her belief, Ms. Zhao was arrested by the CCP police four times. On May 22, 2009, sidestepping normal procedure, the court sentenced Ms. Zhao to one year in a forced labor camp. The police tried to send her to the labor camp many times, but the camp refused to accept her because of her physical condition. She has three steel bars in her legs and has difficulty in walking. Finally, her family brought her home. On May 18, 2011, officers from the Yanglinshi Town Police Station arrested Ms. Zhao. She was detained in the Songzi Detention Center for more than one month.

On November 8, 2011, officers from the Shuilu Police Station in Xinjiangkou Town, Songzhi and personnel from the Xiejiadu Community tried but failed to take away Ms. Zhao.
