Ms. Ji Shujun Endures Extended Persecution by Hebei Women’s Forced Labor Camp

October 31, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent in Hebei Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Ji Shujun, a Falun Gong practitioner in Chengde City, Hebei Province, was illegally arrested by police officers and sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp in 2009. Ms. Ji was to be released on September 1, 2011. However, her prison term was extended by 84 days by the Hebei Province Women’s Forced Labor Camp.

Guards Zhao Yali and Zhao Qinbo ordered other inmates to torture Ms. Ji Shujun on August 14. Ms. Ji was dragged from one end of the corridor to the other. Her face was so severely beaten that it became bruised and swollen. Ms. Ji started a hunger strike on August 14, the forty-second time that she started a strike to protest the persecution in the camp. Her longest strike lasted 56 days.

Currently, thirty Falun Gong practitioners are held in the Fourth Brigade in Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. They are often tortured by the guards. For example, because Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ma Surui refused to watch the Communist regime-controlled TV news last February 24, she was brutally kicked in the back and shoved to the bed. She had terrible pain in her back and ear for more than half a year.

The guards who have tortured practitioners in Hebei Province Women’s Forced Labor Camp are: Zhang Yanyan, Zhao Qinbo (Guard No. 1356114), Zhao Yali (No. 1356099), Hou Junmei, Yu Kan, Wang Weiwei, Zhang Ning, and Guard No. 1356073.
