(Clearwisdom.net) I was not a very smart kid. I was a mediocre student in my class, but I studied hard under my father's strict discipline.

When I was in middle school, I had a strong desire for success and fame. I studied very hard and successfully entered a good high school, and later an elite university. Before I read Zhuan Falun, I was never a top student in college no matter how hard I studied. I felt no further advance could be reached. I became lazy and slacked off. Movies, outings, parties, and campus activities became part of my life. Emptiness and confusion also crept in after those temptations. I started reading books in philosophy and religion, but I still could not find a satisfactory answer. I was awakened when I read Zhuan Falun. The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and “returning to one's original true self” lingered in my mind. I suddenly understood the true meaning of my life.

Through continuous study of the Fa, I understood students should study hard so that they can be ready to take responsibility for their work and society in the future. I followed the requirements of the Fa to eliminate my attachments to fame and gain during my cultivation. I felt more calm and practical. My daily life was more fulfilling.

A classmate told me one day that I had the highest marks out of anyone in my class. I thought he was joking. I did not spend as much time as I used to in homework studies and school examination preparation, as I needed a lot of time to study the Fa and practice exercises. I believed it would be almost impossible for me to win top honors in school while I had to steadfastly practice Dafa cultivation. I was not very outstanding among the other students in such an elite school. In a class with more than 200 students, I would consider myself having done well if I placed in the top third of the class. Surprisingly, I had really won the honor.

I attribute my good grades to practicing Dafa. Falun Dafa has purified my mind and opened my wisdom. I grew calmer as a result of cultivation and my mind became more clear. I was no longer bothered by fame and gain. I no longer studied out of fear of my father. Falun Dafa has manifested its miraculous power in me!

I deeply respect and thank Dafa. Falun Dafa holds the true principles of the universe. The profound principles can bring new hope of life. I certainly hope those who read this article can understand the truth of Falun Dafa and benefit from it.
