(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhou Xiaoyan was illegally arrested by local police on December 29, 2009, and she has been detained at the Hexi District Detention Center and Hedong District Detention Center for more than a year.

In October 2010, Ms. Zhou was sentenced to three years of imprisonment by Hedong Court. She appealed the sentence. In November, Tianjin No. 2 Intermediate Court held a second trial. Both trials were held secretly, without informing Ms. Zhou's family members.

Ms. Zhou's parents are over 70 years old, and their health is not good. Her son is in middle school, and her husband has rheumatism and can't do heavy labor. Her family's monthly income is only a little more than 1,000 yuan and now they are under tremendous financial and mental pressure.

On November 29, 2008, Ms. Zhou was arrested by officers from Youyi Road Police Station when she was distributing informational materials about Falun Dafa. She was detained in the Hexi Detention Center, but was later released on probation for one year. On December 29, 2009, directed by the Hexi District Police Department, officers from Yuexiu Road Police Station re-arrested Ms. Zhou at her workplace.

This entire year, police officers constantly harassed Ms. Zhou and her family. Police officer Cao Yuxi threatened her to try to make her denounce practicing Falun Dafa. She was first detained in the Hexi District Detention Center for nearly one year, before she was transferred to the Hedong District Detention Center.
