(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. As per this report, 17 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 37 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhong Yifang Illegally Sentenced to Eight Years of Imprisonment and Sent to the Chengdu Women's Prison
Ms. Zhong Yifang, in her 50s, a retired worker from the No. 2 Machinery Plant of the Pangang Group Corporation, was followed and reported to the police the night of October 14, 2009. Officials including Cui Fuli from the Domestic Security Division from the Renhe District Police Department arrested Ms. Zhong and took her to the Wanyaoshu Detention Center in Panzhihua City the following day.
Ms. Zhong was illegally sentenced to eight years of imprisonment and sent to the Chengdu Women's Prison in June 2010. Although her family has many times requested to visit her, the prison still refuses to grant permission.

2. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] A Number of Practitioners Persecuted
According to incomplete statistics, at least eight practitioners from Kunming City were arrested between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on August 27, 2010. They included Mr. Shen Zhuyou; Mr. Han Shulin; Ms. Kong Shiying; Ms. Kong's husband; Ms. Kong's son, who returned home at 3 a.m. after obtaining a guarantor and pending trial; Ms. Wu; Ms. Li; Ms. Zhang; and Ms. Zhang Shuilan. Their homes were ransacked.
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Baoqin Facing Persecution Again
Because Ms. Liu Baoqin failed her health exam, officials from the Jianshelu Police Station claimed they would arrest her again to re-examine her and have her sent to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp.
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Two practitioners were arrested by officials from the Taipingzhuang Police Station of Qianan City Police Department while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong the morning of August 26, 2010.

6. [Li County, Hebei Province] Mr. Tian Shuqi and Ms. Xing Xiaozhen Harassed
Two police officers from the Nanzhuang Police Station and Daoxi Village Party, secretaries Liu Wenyuan and Xue Lanfang, harassed Mr. Tian Shuqi and Ms. Xing Xiaozhen at noon on July 22, 2010. Using the guise of checking residence status, they broke in and forced Ms. Tian and Ms. Xing to be photographed and fingerprinted.
7. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Suyin Arrested; Home Ransacked Around August 9, 2010
8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Guo Lihua Sent to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun City
Mr. Guo Lihua, a 45-year-old physics teacher from the No. 42 Middle School in Dalian City, was arrested and taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on September 16, 2008. She was severely abused and mistreated the following two years. Mr. Guo should have been released on August 15, 2010; instead, officials sent him to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun City.

Ms. Fan Fei was transferred out of the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center the middle of August 2010. She is currently in the No. 1 Detention Center in Huanggang City, and facing sentencing.

12. [Shandong Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Practitioners from Mengyin County
Ms. Ma Guiying, a 71-year-old practitioner from Waziping Village, Duozhuang Town, was arrested at home on the evening of August 25, 2010. Participating in the arrest were people from the Duozhuang Police Station. She is currently in the Mengyin County Detention Center.
Ms. Sheng Jihua from Xichangming Village, Duozhuang Town, was arrested at home on August 26, 2010. People from the Duozhuang Police Station participated in the arrest. She is currently in the Mengyin County Detention Center. Duozhuang Police Station officials had once before arrested her, in March 2009 and then sentenced her to one year of imprisonment.
Officers from Duozhuang Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Jimei and Ms. Liu Changjing's homes on August 26, 2010, ransacked them and confiscated two pictures with Master's image and three Dafa books.
Officers from the Jiepai Town Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Wenlai's home on August 26, 2010. They confiscated two MP3 players and a DVD player. Mr. Wang was subsequently arrested, taken to the police station, and was only released when his family handed over 1,000 yuan.
13. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Xie Shude Arrested and Persecuted in a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Xie Shude, who is 70 years old, was arrested on August 27, 2010, by seven officers from the Zhonghuananlu Police Station in Zunyi City, including Ni Yonghua. She is currently detained and persecuted in the Zunyi City Banshanfazhi Brainwashing Center.
14. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Jixin Arrested the Morning of August 29, 2010
15. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Mingxia Arrested
Ms. Gao Mingxia, a 45-year-old practitioner, was arrested the evening of July 11, 2010, by a number of officers from Licang Police Station. Those responsible included Yue Feng and Wang Jianyuan. Ms. Gao is currently in the Qingdao City No. 3 Detention Center.
16. [Zhuolu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Di Shengrong Arrested
A number of officials arrested Ms. Di Shengrong at her workplace on August 25, 2010. Those involved in her arrest included Colliery Police Station Deputy Head Liu Jinangtao in Zhuolu City; Tian Yongchun, Colliery Factory office deputy head; and Gao Jihua, Colliery labor union official. Also participating were 610 Office agents.

17. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Fengzhen Recently Arrested and Taken to the Shandong Province Brainwashing Center
18. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Mr. Lou Held in the Tongxu County Detention Center
Mr. Lou from Kaifeng City was arrested at home by seven to eight officers from Wuchaomen Police Station on August 23, 2010, and is currently in the Tongxu County Detention Center.
19. [Lishu County, Jilin Province] Ms. Gao Rong Sent to and Persecuted in the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City
Ms. Gao Rong, a practitioner from Lishu County, in her 60s, was arrested by officials from the Lishu Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office. It happened while she distributed truth-clarifying materials on August 18, 2010. She was then taken to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for one year of imprisonment.
20. [Suning County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Including Ms. Fu Xiuwen Harassed
Suning County 610 Office head Zhao Zongyao and eight officers from the Shangcun Township Police Station harassed Ms. Fu Xiuwen, who lives in Zhaohe Village, Shangcun Township, the morning of August 2, 2010.
Fuzuo Township Police Station head Yu Longfang and three officers harassed Ms. Hu Hongjuan the evening of August 25, 2010. They confiscated Ms. Hu's satellite dish.
Chengguan Police Station head Zhang Zhihong and eight officers harass Ms. Xi Fengyan at 10:30 a.m. on August 25, 2010, and ordered Ms. Xi to sign guarantee statement.
21. [Xian County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wen Mi Arrested; Home Ransacked
Ten officers from the Xian County Police Station ransacked Ms. Wen Mi's home around 9:30 a.m. on August 25, 2010. They confiscated two computers, a bank deposit book, cash, identity cards, and a satellite dish and receiver. Ms. Wen was arrested and taken to the Xian County Detention Center. Her husband's whereabouts are currently known.

22. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] A Number of Practitioners from Duozhuang Town Arrested
Xichangming Village official Duan Zunyi and eight 610 Office agents arrested Ms. Sheng Yihua around 6:30 a.m. on August 26, 2010. They confiscated her MP 4 player.
Ms. Xu Yurong from Duozhuang Town, Ms. Ma Guirong from Waziping Village, and Ms. Lei Weifeng from Liujiaguan Village were arrested at the same time. Their homes were ransacked.

23. [Tianjin] Mr. Liu Guofu Detained in a Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Liu Guofu was arrested by Tianjin 610 Office agents around July 20, 2009. He was sent to the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp in Tianjing around August 15 and handed a term of one year and three months.
24. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Niu Huimin Grossly Abused and Mistreated to the Brink of Death
Ms. Niu Huimin from Dingxing County, Baoding City, is being held and severely abused and mistreated in the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp. She now suffers from local brain ischemia and heart disease. Local police department officials severely injured her ankles. She cannot take care of herself and needs assistance to use the restroom. She vomits daily and occasionally needs oxygen therapy.
25. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Shihua Arrested and taken to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center
Mr. Tang Shihua, an employee from the Chengdu City Hongguang Factory of Chengdu City, was arrested and taken to Xinjin Brainwashing Center. Participating in the capture were Jianshe Police Station agents. It happened around 9:30 p.m. on August 25, 2010. The police arrested his wife, Ms. Yang Guishu, the morning of August 26. The couple is currently in the brainwashing center.
26. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yukui and Mr. Yan Xinpu Still Detained in the Xiaobailou Brainwashing Center
27. [Dongguang County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Huaixing Held in the Dongguang Detention Center
Mr. Li Huaixing from Chengzhuang Village, Lianzhen Town, Dongguang County, lost his job as of since July 20, 1999. He eventually set up a computer repair store and made a living running it.
On August 25, 2010, officials from the Dongguang Police Department and the Lianzhen Town Police Station ransacked Mr. Li's store and arrested him. Mr. Li Huaixing is currently in the Dongguang Detention Center.

28. [Chongqing] Ms. Dong Daoqun, Employed by the Dajiang Factory, Arrested and Taken to the Chongqing Brainwashing Center the Beginning of August 2010

30. [ZhangJiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Guihua Decides to Leave Home
Guyuan County 610 Office agents and those from the Zhangjiakou 610 Office ordered officials at the Pingdingbao Town Neighborhood Community to harass Ms. Liu Guihua's husband on August 26, 2010. They used all kinds of tactics to pressure him. They ordered him to make Ms. Liu write the guarantee statement, saying that they would send Ms. Liu to a brainwashing center if she refused. Ms. Liu Guihua decided to go into exile to avoid further persecution.
31. [Qing County, Hebei Province] Additional Information Regarding Practitioners Arrested on August 25, 2010
It is said that Mr. Yao Wei, who was arrested on August 25, 2010, had been transferred to Changzhou City.
In addition, the police ransacked Ms. Ma Qingling's home and confiscated many of her personal belongings, including her keys and wallets, valued at nearly 10,000 yuan.
Qing County Detention Center guards ordered prisoners to severely beat Mr. Zhang Tieshan.

32. [Xian City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Du Chunlian Arrested
Ms. Du Chunlian, formerly employed at the Jinhua Grocery Store in Xian City, was arrested. Participating in the capture on August 20 were officials from the Xiyilu Police Station in the Xincheng District.
33. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shuhong Arrested and Taken to the Langfang Brainwashing Center
More than ten officials from the Yongqing County Domestic Security Division and from he Guanjiawu Township Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Shuhong from Liuyuan Village, Guanjiawu Township, at 1 p.m. on August 25, 2010. Ms. Zhang is currently in the Langfang Brainwashing Center.
Ms. Zhang Shuhong had recently been released after a two-year imprisonment in the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp. Gross abuse and mistreatment in that facility led to her suffering from heart disease and losing consciousness several times.

34. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Li Shixian and His Wife, Ms. Li Tingfang, Arrested
Mr. Li Shixian is 72 years old. His wife, Ms. Li Tingfang, and he were arrested by the Longping Town Police Station head surnamed Liu and a number of village officials on the afternoon of August 18, 2010. The police ransacked their home, and confiscated two video players, truth-clarifying discs, and Dafa books. Mr. Li Shixian is currently detained in the Suining City Forced Labor Camp; Ms. Li Tingfang is in the Suining City Detention Center.
Also arrested was Mr. Chen Fupu, on August 25, 2010.
35. [Pingjiang County, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Wolong Arrested Again Following His Release from Prison
Mr. Li Wolong was released on July 4, 2010, after three years of persecution in Jinshi Prison. Police from the Pingjiang Domestic Security Division arrested him again six weeks later. It happened around 3 p.m. on August 26, 2010. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
