(Clearwisdom.net) After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Wang Liqing from Huachuan County, Heilongjiang went to Beijing to appeal for the practice. She was arrested in Tiananmen Square and detained in Beijing's Shijingshan Detention Center for over 40 days. When she was released, she weighed barely 80 pounds.

Here is an account of her experience in her own words:

On December 19, 1999, I came to Tiananmen Square by myself, and proclaimed "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. My master is blameless. Dafa is blameless."

For this, I was arrested, and plainclothes officers forced me into a car. They body-searched me, and then took me to the Tiananmen Police Branch. There an officer grabbed my hair and dragged me into a room. They took my photo without my consent and then held me in a large cage. Even though it was winter, the venting fan was on and cold air came into the room. That night, nineteen of twenty Falun Gong practitioners arrested were transferred to Shijingshan Detention Center.

During my detention, I was beaten by criminal inmates Lin, Lian Huarui, and Xiaoru. Lian Huarui collected cold water with a basin and poured it over me. Xiaoru gouged me with her finger. Lin pulled my hair. Prison head Yang Shuqing, a former lecturer from Shougang University, threatened me so that I would give up Falun Gong. I was interrogated many times to obtain my address. Since I would not divulge my name and address, the preliminary investigator threatened to send me to the Eighth Male Ward to be bullied by male criminals. When I refused, he slapped my face eight times. During every interrogation, he insulted and humiliated me.

On the third day of detention, I was force-fed every other day. Prison doctor Li, together with nurses in Shijingshan Police Hospital and male criminals, force-fed me through my nose. The criminals held me so that I wouldn't move, while the nurses inserted a plastic tube through my nose and pushed it down into my stomach. I sometimes felt the tube was not in the stomach, but my lungs. I sometimes coughed and vomited a white sticky substance.

After I was detained for over 37 days, they tried to force-feed me again. But the tube could no longer be inserted. I was then dragged into anther room. After force-feeding other practitioners, they dragged me back to try again, but the tube could not be inserted. Then criminals dragged me back to the detention room and threw me on the floor. I was tortured until I was numb all over, could not move, and lost consciousness.

After a very long time, I regained consciousness. My mouth and throat felt swollen and painful, and I vomited chunks of blood. Guard Wang Chunjing came to the prison that night, and asked prison head Yang Shuqing and Lin to bring me to the duty room. There, they tried to give me drug injections. I refused, and was verbally abused by guard Qi. I was also given unknown drugs after being detained there for about 14 or 15 days. Wang Chunjing, Yang Shuqing, Lin, and Doctor Li held my arms down for several minutes. They then turned my arm over to try to inject me. Due to long-term persecution, after my arm was turned over, my vein could not be found. They had to send me back to the prison room again.

While I was detained, I was sent twice to Shijngshan Police Hospital for a medical check-up. The second time, a police officer forced a fellow practitioner from Shanxi Province to come too. I cried out, "The police is persecuting Falun Gong!" I was then dragged outside into the freezing winter air. I was wearing a pair of summer shoes, and a pair of warm pants. When I told people who passed by that I was a Falun Gong practitioner, they pushed me. When a car from the detention center arrived, I was pushed into the car, and was beaten and berated by a policewoman named Zhang.

On the fourth day they could no longer force-feed me, so guard Wang Chunjing and a driver drove me to Beijing, and sent me by train from Beijing to Jiamusi.
