(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 28 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 26 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Mr. Sui Jinming Taken to Brainwashing Center
On the morning of August 9, 2010, Mr. Sui Jinming went to a friend's home in Zunhua City. He was arrested by Dong Guofeng and other Domestic Security officers. He was held in a brainwashing center. At around 11:00 p.m. that night, Domestic Security officers and those from the Xingwangzhai Township Police Station broke into Mr. Sui's home in Ganzezhuang Village, Xingwangzhai Township, Zunhua City. Mr. Sui's elderly mother-in-law was at home alone. She was scared and her whole body shook.
The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books and other materials. Then the director and a few officers from the police station went to search the oil extraction mill where Mr. Sui works. The door was locked. The officers climbed over the exterior wall to break in and conducted a search.

2. [Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province] Police Search Three Elderly Practitioners' Homes
On the evening of July 21, 2010, Liu Wei and other officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Xiangcheng Police Department went to Ms. Wang Xiuzhi's home. They searched her home, took Falun Dafa books, exercise cassette tapes, and even Ms. Wang's personal diary. Ms. Wang is a retired teacher. The officers then broke into the home of a female practitioner whose given name is Chunling. They took possession of several thousand yuan in cash. On July 24, the police ransacked another practitioner Ms. Lin Yueqin's home.
3. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Meng Hualong Taken to Brainwashing Center by Security Guards of Fire Resistant Materials Factory
At 9:20 a.m. on August 10, 2010, Mr. Meng Hualong was playing with his grandson in the public area when Yuan Jinhua and other officials from the Security Division of the Fire Resistant Materials Factory took him into custody. Mr. Meng, who is an employee of the factory, was taken to the Guanghan Brainwashing Center.
4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chi Xiandao Held at Heilongjiang Women's Prison
On February 26, 2010, Ms. Chi Xiandao, who lives in Dongfeng Residential Community, was arrested. She was unlawfully sentenced to four years in prison in June 2010 and taken to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison on June 28. She is being held at the No. 9 Ward. Ms. Chi refused to be "transformed." She refused to put on inmate clothing, recite prison regulations, or answer the roll call. The prison authorities have denied her family from visiting her.
5. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Fengxia Arrested; Her Whereabouts Unknown
At around 10:30 a.m. on August 10, 2010, officials from the Gucheng Town government and officers from the local police station broke into Ms. Liu Fengxia's home in the Sanlipu area. They arrested Ms. Liu. Her whereabouts are unknown.
6. [Shandong Province] Pingdu City 610 Office Harasses Practitioners
Dai Yugang and other officials at the Pingdu City 610 Office have actively engaged in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in recent years. They have broken up families, pressured officials to expel practitioners from work, and extorted cash. Based on inconclusive data, the 610 Office has extorted over 800,000 yuan. Four practitioners were persecuted to death, including Ms. Xiao Shumin and Mr. Zhong Zhenfu. The following practitioners remain in prison: Mr. Sui Youjun, Mr. Lu Jianguo, Ms. Xu Aifang, Mr. Li Wenshu, Mr. Wang Mingliang, Mr. Wang Yunchong, Ms. Wang Cong, Ms. Sun Shujie, Ms. Zhang Lanzhi, Ms. Zhang Shuhua, Mr. Wang Jingxian, and Ms. Wang Yuzhen. In addition, Mr. Chen Zhenbo has become handicapped as a result of abuse in prison.

At noon on August 5, 2010, Ms. Zhao Furong went out to distribute Falun Gong materials. She was arrested by the police and Domestic Security officers. She faces an unlawful forced labor term.

On May 30, 2010, Ms. Li Wenjie, from Hulan District in Harbin City, was taken to a court hearing. At the end of July, she was unlawfully sentenced to 11 years in prison. She has been taken to the Orientation Division of the No. 9 Ward in Harbin Women's Prison. Her family went to visit her. Prison officials prevented them from seeing her, citing that the family did not give notice for the visit.

11. [Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Kezhi Held at Nanguanling Prison in Dalian City
Mr. Yang Kezhi was held at the No. 1604 Team, the Cable Division of the Nanguanling Prison in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. He has suffered severe abuse. His life is in danger. He has been taken to the Ganjingzi District No. 3 People's Hospital in Dalian City. He is hospitalized at Patient's Bed No. 42, 6th Floor, the General Section. His family went to visit him in Dalian City. They asked for him to be released on medical parole but the prison authorities refused to release him.
12. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Xuejun Secretly Arrested
At noon on August 11, 2010, Mr. Wang Xuejun was secretly arrested by Liu Caijun and other officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Wengniute Banner Police Department in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. The police searched Mr. Wang's home in Wengniute Banner. They confiscated a computer, a printer and other personal belongings.

15. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Du Kesong's Residential Status Lost after Forced Labor
On October 3, 2000, Mr. Du Kesong was sentenced to three years of forced labor by the Wendeng City Police Department. His residential ID card was confiscated by the Songcun Police Station. The police officers have lost Mr. Du's ID card. In September 2001, Mr. Du suffered high blood pressure in the labor camp. He was released on medical parole in November 2001. However, he was not able to reestablish his residential status.
16. [Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Taken to Fengrun District Detention Center in Tangshan City
At 11:00 a.m. on August 11, 2010, former head of the Chinese Communist Party Jiang Zemin went to visit the Tangshan Rail Passenger Cars Co. Ltd. A total of 12 practitioners, including Ms. Song Jingmei, Ms. Zhu Ruiping, and Ms. Liu Yulan, were taken to the Fengrun District Detention Center.
17. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liang Xiangjiao Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Liang Xiangjiao lives in Caidian District, Wuhan City. On July 15, 2010, she was arrested by officers from the Hanyang District 610 Office and the Duanqinkou Police Station. Her home was searched and she was taken to the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center. A month later, she was transferred to the Chenjiaju Brainwashing Center in Jiang'an District. She was taken back to the No. 1 Detention Center a month later. Her family has just learned that she has been sentenced to prison.
18. [Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Zhang Wenli Arrested and Taken to Liupanshui City No. 2 Detention Center
19. [Jilin Province] Mr. Deng Yongsheng Possibly Held at Jiutai Forced Labor Camp
20. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Huang Jiuling and Ms. Liu Guili Arrested
On August 11, 2010, Ms. Huang Jiuling and Ms. Liu Guili from the Hongtoushan Town in Qingyuan County went to the Cangshi Township to clarify the truth to the public. They were arrested by officers from the Cangshi Township Police Station. The two practitioners have been taken to Fushun City, Liaoning Province. Their whereabouts are unknown.

21. [Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhou Aixin and Mr. Jin Taijun Arrested
On August 11, officers from the Jilin Province 610 Office arrived in the Longjing area. Officers from the Longjing Police Department in Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture arrested Mr. Zhou Aixin and Mr. Jin Taijun. The two practitioners are to be taken to a brainwashing center.

On July 26, 2010, Ms. Fu Zhenmin, who lives in Duanzhuang Village in Xuguantun Township, Wuqing District, Tianjin, was turned in to the police for distributing Falun Dafa materials. Officers from the Caozili Police Station arrested her. Ms. Fu was later transferred to the Xuguantun Police Station.

25. [Hebei Province] Ms. Jing Yuehua and Ms. An Xiuzhen Arrested by Luquan Police
At around 6:00 a.m. on August 10, 2010, over twenty police officers from the Dahe Town Police Station broke into Mr. Gu Furong and Ms. Jing Yuehua's home in Dongshaoying Village, Dahe Town. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books and materials. Ms. Jing was taken to the Hebei Province Brainwashing Center.
At around 7:00 a.m., the same group of officers broke into Ms. An Xiuzhen's home. They searched her home and took her to the Luquan City Detention Center.
26. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Bangrun Threatened with Return to Forced Labor Camp
On the morning of August 11, 2010, Ms. Zhang Bangrun was turned in to the police while removing a banner that defamed Falun Dafa at the Xianfeng Street bus stop in the Jingkou area. The police arrested her. She was taken to the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp. She did not pass the physical exam and was released on medical parole. She returned home. Her husband was ordered to keep an eye on her. When the police searched her home, they found Falun Dafa books. They threatened to take her back to the labor camp on August 23.

27. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Wenjun Deceived and Taken to Brainwashing Center
On August 5, 2010, Zeng Qingbing, village head of the No. 5 Brigade in Xigao Township, Guanghan City, and other officials had a talk with Ms. Tang Wenjun's son. They asked him to help them lie to his mother so they could taken her to the Hexing Town Brainwashing Center in Guanghan City. Shortly after 6:00 a.m. on August 6, Zeng Qingbing and others arrived at Ms. Tang's home. They deceived her and took her to the brainwashing center.
