August 24, 2010 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent in Jilin Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) The following is an account of the torture suffered by practitioner Ms. Jiang Bing, from Jiutai City, Jilin Province. Ms. Jiang, who is in her forties, has been repeatedly arrested and detained in a forced labor camp only because of her belief in Falun Gong. When she was released from a labor camp in 2004, Ms. Bing found out that the persecution of Falun Gong had devastated her family.

Ms. Bing, her mother, and sister were illegally arrested by officers from the Yinmahe Police Station on July 22, 2002, after they visited her brother at the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai City. Ms. Bing and her sister were sentenced to two years of forced labor, while her mother was released after being detained for 15 days.

Ms. Bing was sent to the Seventh Brigade in Changchun City Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp. There, guards Hou Chunhong, Liu Guyue, Wang Lihua, Liman, Zhao Jing, and Zhang Xue tortured her. They tried to force her to write a repentance statement promising to give up practicing Falun Gong. When she didn't cooperate, they deprived her of sleep. Guard Zhao Jing also hit her with a wooden ruler and slapped her face until it became black and blue. Another guard with the surname of Bi scratched her face with a chicken foot.

In addition to being subjected to physical beatings, Ms. Jiang was forced to perform slave labor for 17 hours every day.

When she was finally released in 2004, Ms. Jiang found out that all of her belongings had been confiscated by the landlord. Furthermore, her husband had left home and her daughter was forced to quit school while she was imprisoned. Although her daughter was very young at that time, she still needed to take care of her younger brother.
