(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 26 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Lei Yangfan Goes on Hunger Strike
At noon on May 8, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Lei Yangfan from Changsha City was arrested at an Internet cafe by officers from the Shazitang Police Station, Yuhua District, Changsha City. Mr. Lei's face was injured during the arrest. He was taken at night to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center in Changsha City and tortured there continuously.
Mr. Lei is now on a hunger strike to protest being tortured by guards and agents of the 610 Office. Guards at the brainwashing center did not allow his parents to visit him.
2. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Harassed
Eight officers from the Silipeng Police Station, Yingcheng City, ransacked Ms. Cao Jun's home at 8:30 p.m., on May 17, 2010. During the process, they fought with Ms. Cao's husband.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., police officers also harassed Ms. Hu Shuping at her home.
Police officers from Langjun Town, Yingcheng city, ransacked Mr. Xu Xuanzi's home that same night. She is an employee of Langjun Middle School. Mr. Xu Xuanzi was later taken to the Yingheng City First Detention Center where he was tortured.
3. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] More Information about Ms. Zhang Xuejie and Ms. Wang Liyuan
Ms. Zhang Xuejie and Ms. Wang Liyan, from Tonghua City, were arrested by officers from the Toudao Police Station, Ji'an City, Jilin Province on July 24, 2009. On December 17, 2009, both were sentenced to four years in prison by the Ji'an City Court.
Ms. Zhang and Ms. Wang were taken to the Heizuizi Women's Prison, Changchun City on May 6, 2010.
Ms. Zheng Lihua, from Meihekou City, Jilin Province was arrested on the morning of May 18, 2010.
4. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Meng Zhaofu Taken to Jinan City Brainwashing Center
At 10:00 a.m. on May 18, 2010, the secretary of the Railway Train Operation Depot was driven to the Laixi Railway Station. They arrested Mr. Meng Zhaofu and took him to the Wangcun Brainwashing Center.
5. [Taikang County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Fubin Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison
Mr. Liu Fubin was recently sentenced to eight years at the Taikang County Court. He was taken to the Tailai Prison in Heilongjiang Province.
6. [Qi County, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Zanmei Tortured at Tongxu County Detention Center
Ms. Wang Zanmei, who is nearly seventy years old and lives in Qi County, is disabled in one leg. Recently she was secretly sentenced to three and a half years at the Longting District Court, Kaifeng City. During the process when she was detained at the Tongxu County Detention Center, she did not cooperate with the persecution. She refused to wear the inmate uniform, and didn't answer roll call or report her identification number. Guards tortured her and forced her to wear shackles, which dug into her skin. After being tortured her feet appeared black and blue and were bleeding. For a long time afterward she could not walk.

7. [Macheng City, Hebei Province] The Persecution of Ms. Yu Guifang and Ms. Wang Kaiying
On the night of April 8, 2010, Ms. Yu Guifang, from Macheng City, went to the Macheng City Railway Station, planning to take the 7:30 p.m .train to her hometown in Harbin City. During the security check process when she entered the station, police officers from the station found Shen Yun 2010 DVD discs in her bag. She and her friend who accompanied her (not a practitioner) were both arrested. Police officers from the railway station together with Macheng City Domestic Security Division went to Ms. Yu and her neighbor Ms. Wang Kaiying's home at 10:00 p.m., and ransacked both homes the same night. Dafa books and some truth-clarifying materials were taken away.
A few police officers from the railway station again came to look for Ms. Wang Kaiying the next day. She had to leave home to avoid being arrested.

8. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Chen Xuefei Arrested and Sent to Baimalong Forced Labor Camp
On April 16, 2009, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Xuefei (in her forties) was taken to the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp, Zhuzhou City, where she was mistreated.
9. [Puning City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Chen Hongsong Arrested
On the morning of May 18, 2010, Mr. Chen Hongsong, from Zhanlong Town, Puning City, Guangdong Province, was arrested at home by officers from the Zhanlong Police Station and agents from the Domestic Security Division, Puning City. Now he is detained at the Puning Detention Center.
10. [Jiangsu Province] Ms. Song Wenzhen Arrested by Agents from the 610 Office
Ms. Song Wenzhen was arrested near her home by officers from the Chaoyang Police Station on May 3, 2010, as ordered by the Kunshan City 610 Office. Her home was ransacked. She was secretly taken to the Jurong Labor Camp in Zhenjiang City on May 13, 2010, for one year of forced labor.
11. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Hong and Ms. Ning Wei Arrested
Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Yu Hong and Ms. Ning Wei were arrested by officers from the Zhulin Temple Police Station at 10: 00 p.m., on May 12, 2010, when they were hanging a truth clarifying banner at the Zhulin Temple. They are currently detained at the Tai'an City Detention Center. Their home was ransacked and the children's computer was taken away.
12. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Huang Yong Hui Arrested
Mr. Huang Yonghui, from Changsha City, was arrested. He is currently detained at the Changsha City Detention Center.
13. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yuan Lini Arrested in Guangzhou City
Ms. Yuan Lini, from Huangmei County, Hubei Province and Ms. Gu (first name unknown), from Sichuan Province, were arrested by police officers from the Domestic Security Division 610 Office at Tianhe District, Guangzhou City on the afternoon of May 12, 2010.
14. [Mengzi County, Yunnan Province] Ms. Li Xizhu Arrested
On May 13, 2010, Ms. Li Xizhu, Ms. Deng Yunzhu and her son Mr. Jin Fanxue went to Zhicun Town, Mengzi County. They were monitored by agents from the Mengzi County Police Department and Domestic Security Division, who drove a police vehicle to follow them. Agents from 610 Office, police department and domestic security division, together with officers from the neighborhood administration, arrested Ms. Li Xizhu and her daughter Ms. Zou Zhenying, along with Ms. Deng Yunzhu and her son Mr. Jin Fanxue, at 6:00 p.m.. They took away boxes of Dafa books and truth-clarification materials. Ms. Deng Yuzhu and Ms. Zou Zhenying were released that night. Ms. Li Xizhu and Mr. Jin Fanxue are still detained at the Bailujiao Detention Center, in a western suburb of Mengzi County.

Ms. Ren Xiangfen, from Kanggou Village, Heluo , Gongyi City, is in her fifties. On the afternoon of May 18, 2010, she was arrested by officers from the Nanhedu Police Station.

20. [Chongqing City] More Information about Ms. Wu Gongbi
Ms. Wu Gongbi, from Tongliang, was arrested by four officers from the Chengnan Police Station on April 22, 2010. Her home was searched and her computer and other items were confiscated from her home. Ms. Wu is held in a detention center.

21. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Proivnce] Ms. Deng Yongyi Arrested
Ms. Deng Yongyi, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xinjia Garden, Suzhou City Industry Zone Distrcit, was arrested on the morning of May 6, 2010, and taken to the Huxi Police Station. He is now being transferred to the Suzhou First Detention Center.
