(Clearwisdom.net) "The Communist Party began persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in the middle of the night on July 20, 1999, and has continued the persecution for the past ten years. During that time my home has been searched and property confiscated many times. I have been illegally arrested, detained, interrogated, brainwashed, and sentenced many times. The Communist Party has persecuted me relentlessly. Even now, after being released from jail, they are still persecuting me."
These are the experiences of Falun Dafa practitioner Lu Rongfang of Puer County, Yunnan Province, over the last ten years:
Sentenced for Four Years for No Reason
On May 18, 2006, Zhang Qing and I went to see a friend. We were driving down the highway in Qingliang Town, Jingdong County, when police officers from the Public Security Bureau of Jingdong County arrested us. I asked, "Why are you arresting us?" The officers answered, "Someone reported that you were distributing Falun Gong material." This was the "crime" for which I was sentenced to four years. Another "criminal act" I was charged with occurred on May 13, 2005. A few practitioners agreed to meet under a big green tree to learn to sing "Coming For You." This was considered "illegal assembly," making the "scene of the crime" under the big green tree.
I was confined in a detention center in Jingdong County for a week and then transferred to a detention center in Puer County. Practicing Falun Gong had given me wonderful health, but after being locked up my weight dropped from 137 to 103 pounds, and I developed low blood pressure, dizziness, numb feet, and other problems.
I was denied my legal right to appeal, and on August 23, 2007, was sent to the Yunnan Province Second Women's Prison. After being at the prison for only a short time, I fell into a coma for the first time in my life. During brainwashing I was pressured to write the three statements, promising to give up practicing Falun Gong. I wrote, "Practicing Falun Dafa helped me to understand the true meaning and purpose of life and how to return to my true self. I realized that I was born to obtain the Buddha Law." I was forced to write an ending that I did not wish to write. I now declare that everything that I wrote that is not in accordance with Falun Dafa standards is invalid, because it was written against my will.
On November 17, 2009, I returned home after three and a half years of oppression in prison .
But since last year, I have continued to be persecuted, and my pension was also taken away.
My Experiences of Persecution
In the middle of the night on July 21, 1999, officers from the Public Security Bureau came to my home because I refused to turn in my Falun Dafa books. They shook a search warrant in my face and said, "Lu Rongfang, we will give you one minute to hand in your books, or we will search your home." Considering that someone was ill at home, I had no choice but to give them the books.
From July to November of 2000, my home was searched three times, and all of my Dafa books, literature, and materials, even including handwritten copies, were confiscated. During that time I was illegally detained and subjected to all night interrogation. On December 14, 2000, I was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center in Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It was a high-pressure "transformation" session designed to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give up their beliefs.
On June 9, 2005, my home was again searched and my property confiscated.
