(Clearwisdom.net) Rain or shine, beginning on June 14, 2010, Falun Gong practitioners have been gathering at Parliament Hill every day to clarify the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution in China.

Practitioners have been holding a series of activities such as anti-torture exhibitions, petitions and handing out fliers in Ottawa before Chinese leader Hu Jintao's visit. Their goal is to help more people working in and around the Parliament and the tourists learn more about the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Jia from Toronto said that many Chinese practitioners participated despite being unable to speak fluent English or French. Many of them stood for many hours under the burning sun just to help more people know what is really happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Ms. Jia commented on how kindhearted and just Canadians are. "One time a young lady on her bike saw our torture exhibition in front of Parliament Hill. She jumped off the bike and hugged us. She has seen our videos before and understands what we are doing. She was very moved."

One day an elementary school teacher brought dozens of students to the Hill. The teacher was impressed with stories of Falun Gong practitioners and asked the practitioners to explain more details of the benefit of practicing Falun Dafa and the ten-year brutal persecution in China. The students listened carefully and also learned that the Canadian government has done a lot to support Falun Dafa.

Government officials have also shown their support of the Falun Gong group's recent activities. Ms. Jia said: "One day a man wearing a nice suit introduced himself as a member of the Parliament. He shook hands with every practitioner there and told us that he supports us and that we should persist in doing what we do."

On the weekends, the anti-torture exhibition next to a grocery store draws the attention of hundreds of local residents and tourists. Many of them signed the petitions calling for an end to the persecution.

A mother and a son from Australia saw the exhibition and came to one of the practitioners saying, "I know about Falun Gong and I support you."

The practitioners collected nearly a thousand signatures on a Saturday alone.
