(Clearwisdom.net) I am a veteran practitioner who learned Dafa in 1996. I cultivated for many years, stumbling and getting up again. Teacher always helped me up.
When our local Fa-study group was destroyed following the events of April 25, 1999, I proposed to move the study group to my home. On July 20, 1999, the persecution began in earnest. I was arrested and taken to the police academy. Later, I was again arrested and detained when I went to the provincial government office to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. In 2000, I was arrested and detained when I went to Beijing to appeal. In 2001, I was forced to leave my home and go into hiding. In 2002, my husband could no longer endure the harassment and the pressure from the police, neighborhood association, and his employer and divorced me. In 2003, I was arrested again and taken to a forced labor camp. When I was released, my company fired me. I was 46 and had no home or means of financial support. My parents were not supportive. They urged me to stop cultivating so they would not be implicated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I said, "It is not possible for me not to cultivate. My life is for Falun Gong. If you are afraid for your safety, you can renounce me as your daughter. Of course, it is not me who wants to renounce her family." My brother was so upset that he hit me. Dad was so angry that he wanted to turn me in to the police. So I left my parents' home and subsisted by taking temporary jobs. In 2007, Dad died of an illness, and no one was able to take care of my mother. Someone thought of me, and I once again moved back to my parents' home.
Mother is 86 this year. She began to cultivate with me when I came to live with her. Mom was hard of hearing and uneducated and could not hear well when I read the Fa to her, so I played Teacher's lectures to her on an MP3 player. She loved it and has been listening to them ever since. Now her hearing has improved, her health is much better, and her skin is glowing. Since I began to take care of her, the neighbors have come to realize that Falun Gong practitioners take care of their elders and are nice to them.
After returning home, I formed a Fa-study group. We study the Fa every morning and then go out to distribute printed materials and tell people about Dafa and urge them to quit the CCP. Once, I took many copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and distributed them to all the units in one building. I later heard that they had installed monitors in that building, but I did not encounter any problem. I think this was because Teacher was protecting me. On the eve of one Chinese New Year's Day, I decided to go and distribute fliers, but the streetlights were very bright and I wished there was less light. Then I realized that I should not have this attachment to fear, so I rejected it right away, thinking: "This fear is not me." Just then, the street lights all went out, only to come back on when I finished distributing the fliers.
Aside from distributing materials, I also talk to others about the goodness of Dafa and do it in a way that everyone can easily accept. Once I ran into the former manager of my old company. When she saw me she reprimanded me and asked me to drop my Falun Gong practice. Apparently she was heavily poisoned by the CCP. I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear her field and tried to find a way to tell her about the true situation. When she mentioned the Tiananmen Square self-immolation, I told her that it had been staged by the CCP. I said, "Didn't you see that Wang Jindong was badly burned? But the plastic bottle in his lap containing gasoline was intact. The young lady, Liu Siying, had her throat cut at the hospital [supposedly to help her breathe], but she was still able to be interviewed and sing. How was that possible? Also, burn victims are usually kept uncovered in a germ-free room, but she was all wrapped up in bandages." My former supervisor agreed with me that those were inconsistencies. Then I began to talk about the persecution of capitalists by the CCP. (I knew that her parents were categorized as capitalists and had died as a result of CCP persecution.) I said, "The landlords and capitalists all got rich because of their hard work and intelligence. As a matter of fact, nowadays all farmers-turned-business-owners are landlords and all factory owners are capitalists." My words must have hit the nail right on the head because she agreed right away: "True, my parents were killed by the CCP." I then said, "We are all victims. The ten-year Cultural Revolution and the moving of city youth to the countryside harmed us so much. In 1989 they killed so many students on Tiananmen Square. Now they are persecuting good people who pursue Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. So the heavens are angry and are about to punish the CCP. All these recent natural disasters are warnings. Those who have joined the CCP and its associated organizations are marked for destruction. Now, if you say that you want to quit the CCP, the Heavens will know and you will be saved and not destroyed."
She said, "OK. I want to quit the CCP." I said, "Good. You need to remember that Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good." She agreed, and another life was saved.
In 2008, right before the Olympic games, the district director came to my home and asked me, "Are you a Falun Gong practitioner?" When I said I was, she said, "Don't participate in their activities." I said, "Let me ask you a question. If you had a choice between Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and Falsehood-Evilness-Aggression, which one would you chose?" She remained silent for a while. I said, "I know that you know the right answer, but you just will not say it. You are a good person. Do you think that I am a bad person? I am a good person, too. I cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Don't you like good people? The government cannot tell good from bad. They arrest good people. They are scared of Falun Gong. Why? Because Falun Gong is righteous, which is in stark contrast to the CCP. Most officials are corrupt. They will do anything to persecute Falun Gong to maintain their power and position. They even extracted organs from Falun Gong practitioners to make big profits." She said, "Is that true?" I said, "Yes, it is true. In addition, they have killed 80 million Chinese since the CCP established its regime." She then asked me about the self-immolation. I described the discrepancies in the incident. I said, "The heavens are about to punish the CCP. If you have joined any of its organizations, you need to quit as soon as possible. Don't be a scapegoat. As long as you quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the Heavens will know and you will be safe." She agreed and was saved.
