The Persecution of Ms. Wu Suqiong and Her Family

April 02, 2010 |   By a correspondent in Shandong Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wu Suqiong's husband Mr. Huang Wenqiang worked for the Zuanqian Company, Yellow River Drilling Corporation of Shengli Oilfield. She, her husband, and her daughter, Ms. Huang Juan, learned to practice Falun Dafa in 1998. Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the whole family has suffered from severe persecution. Her husband became mentally unstable due to prolonged persecution, coercion, and intimidation as well as deception. Her daughter, Ms. Huang Juan, also suffered from severe mental distress.

Cruel Persecution

On January 29, 2000, Mr. Huang and Ms. Wu were arrested while practicing Falun Gong in a park. The police officers slapped their faces, then kicked and punched them. They also forced the couple to take off their padded clothes, shoes, and socks. Then they handcuffed them and left them exposed to the biting cold. After that the couple was detained and heavily fined. While in detention Mr. Huang was given unknown drugs that made him mentally unclear. Ms. Wu was forced to leave home and live elsewhere to avoid being persecuted by members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) at her workplace.

Inhuman Torture

On the morning of July 22, 2008, officers from the Dangjia Police Station in Mingshui County went to Ms. Wu Suqiong's home and arrested her and two others, including Ms. Zhao Fengying. On the following day, the three of them were escorted to Jinan Detention Center. Guards Zhang Yishan and Lu Ping incited inmates to kick and punch Ms. Wu. She struggled and cried for help, but the evildoers covered her mouth with pillows and towels. They also choked her until she almost suffocated to death, all under the very noses of the prison guards since there were surveillance cameras in every cell.

After Ms. Wu went on a hunger strike for six months in protest the inhuman torture, she was in a semi-coma. She was picked up by the Zuanqian Company on August 8 and taken directly to Shenghua Hotel for further persecution. In the morning on August 9 her daughter was picked up and taken to Jisu Brainwashing Center, where she went on a hunger strike as well. Wang Junmei was responsible for forcing her to suffer through a brainwashing session. After not taking any food or water for 22 days, Ms. Huang was in a critical condition. Only then did the evildoers from the Zuanqian Company send her home.

Ms. Wu's normally kind and tolerant husband, Mr. Huang Wenqiang, lost the ability to think normally as a result of coercion, intimidation and deception, so he also sided with the Zuanqian Company in persecuting his wife. They attempted to cart Ms. Wu off to the brainwashing center again when her health conditions improved.

The Zuanqian Company did not let up on Ms. Wu's daughter. They often went to harass and intimidate her. They even arrested her and took her to Jinan Detention Center and a brainwashing center. Ms. Huang Juan suffered a nervous breakdown. As a result she could not live or study normally, so she was forced to quit school. Ms. Huang Juan, who was physically injured and mentally affected, was not in her right mind at that time but did regain her senses again at later. Before that she would often leave home and go off by herself.

In February 2010, the mentally irrational Mr. Huang Wenqiang went to court in an attempt to divorce his wife. The court registered his case and a hearing was scheduled for April 1, 2010. Ms. Huang Juan was badly upset when she heard the news so she left home once again. In the evening on March 1, 2010 the patrolling officers from Shengyuan Police Station in the Dongying District spotted her at a place about 3 kilometers from home. When they searched her bag, they found Falun Gong books, so they took her to the local National Security Division. On March 2, she was taken to the Dongying Detention Center and her home was ransacked. She refused to sign the arrest warrant or the search warrant. She is now back home.
