(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in ten cities and seven provinces. In this report, five practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ms. Cui Jianping Sentenced to Four Years Imprisonment
Ms. Cui Jianping, 51, is a resident of Baiyin City in Guansu Province. On March 25, 2008, when Ms. Cui was handing out truth-clarification materials, she was arrested and detained at the Dabeitan Village Commission in Xi District, Baiyin City. Later, she was transferred to the Baiyin District Detention Center. Two months later, Ms. Cui was transferred to the Jingyuan County Detention Center.
Ms. Cui has been on a hunger strike much of the time she has been detained and, as a result, she has suffered tremendously both mentally and physically. Her family requested that she be released for medical reasons but the request was denied by the local court without stating a reason.
In April 2009, Ms. Cui was sentenced to four years in prison by the Baiyin District Court. Shortly thereafter, she was taken to the Gansu Province Women's Prison.
2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Guo Wuhai and Mr. Guo Wusheng Arrested, Home Ransacked
On March 4, 2010, at approximately 9 p.m., plainclothes police officers from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, teamed up with officers, led by Yang Zhi, from the Xinandu Police Station, to break into the residence of two brothers, Mr. Guo Wusheng and Mr. Guo Wuhai. The officers confiscated a personal computer, a laptop computer, a printer and some Falun Dafa materials.
Both Guo brothers were arrested and detained at Xinandu Police Station. At 2 p.m., on March 5, Mr. Guo Wuhai was transferred to Jinghe Detention Center and Mr. Guo Wusheng was taken home by his wife.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Shang Xiaodong and Others Arrested
On March 5, 2010, Mr. Shang Xiaodong, 30; Ms. Yin Jun, 30; Ms. Zhang Fengqin, 47; Ms. Yao Meiling, 24; and others from Changchun City were unjustifiably reported to the police by their coworkers. Officers from Nanling Police Station arrested them at their workplace and the following day they were taken to Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center.

4. [Boye County, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Qiaoxin Arrested
On March 4, 2010, at approximately 9 p.m., Hao Tongle, Deputy Director of the Police Bureau of Boye County; Li Zhi, Director of the Domestic Security Division of Boye County; and others broke into the home of Ms. Guo Qiaoxian in Boye County. They arrested Ms. Guo and confiscated a laptop computer, five printers, several boxes of photocopy paper and a number of DVDs.

5. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wei Jingang Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
In September 2009, Mr. Wei Jingang of Maoming City was arrested by police officers for posting truth-clarification materials. On March 5, 2010, he was sentenced to five years imprisonment.
6. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jin Jinyu's Home in Hualin Township Ransacked by Police
On March 1, 2010, at approximately 6 p.m., police officers broke into and ransacked the home of Ms. Jin Jinyu, of Hualin Township, Mudanjiang City. The officers confiscated her Falun Dafa books, a computer, a printer, an MP3 player, a checkbook, her ID card, and 800 yuan in cash.
7. [Nanchong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Siqing and Ms. Du Xiuyun Illegally Detained
On the morning of March 2, 2010, when Ms. Liu Siqing and Ms. Du Xiuyun, from Nanchong City, were telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong, they were reported and then arrested. Currently they are illegally detained at Nanchong City Jialing Detention Center.
8. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. He Jianru and Others Arrested
On January 28, 2010, at approximately 7 a.m., three Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. He Jianru, Mr. Hu Xiuxian and Ms. Zeng, were arrested by officials from Huizhou City and the 610 Office of Huidong Township. No one has been able to determine where they are being detained.
9. [Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners, Including Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Detained
On December 14, 2009, at approximately 7 p.m., five Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Mr. Yan Jiguo, Mr. Zhang Haiming, Ms. Song Yuhong and Ms. Gao Liping, were arrested by police officers from Inner Mongolia and Haerbin City. Initially detained in Inner Mongolia, they are currently being held at Ewenke Autonomous Region Detention Center. Family members went there to visit but were denied permission to see them.
10. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiang Yaqing Arrested
In early March 2010, Ms. Jiang Yaqin from Beichanggou Village, Lukou Township, Dehui City was arrested by officers from the Chalukou Township Police Station. Police officers also ransacked her home. Ms. Jiang is currently detained in the Dehui City Detention Center.

11. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Zhi Persecuted by Shulan City 610 Office
On September 7, 2009, Mr. Li Zhi was arrested at his home by officers from the Kaiyuan Township 610 Office and the Shulan City Police Station in Jilin Province. He was charged with "obstructing public affairs" and sentenced to six months in prison. He was detained in the Xiaobaishan Prison of Jilin City until shortly after March 3, 2010, when officials from the Shulan City Police Bureau extended his prison term for another year and transferred him to the Yinmahe Detention Center.
12. [Yanbian District, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Beiqi Detained in Pingdu City Detention Center
On February 27, 2010, Mr. Zhang Beiqi from Antu County, Yanbian District, was arrested at his home in Pingdu City, Qingdao, by police officers from the Yanbian District. He is currently being detained in the Pingdu City Detention Center.
13. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Rong Guixia Illegally Detained Again
On the afternoon of March 2, 2010, Ms. Rong Guixia, 40, of Wangtuozi Township in Lukou Township of Dehui City, was arrested at her home by police officers from the Chalukou Township Police Station. The officers ransacked her home as well. Currently she is detained at Dehui City Detention Center.
