(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 44 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Beijing] Mr. Liu Yujian on the Verge of Death While in Police Custody
Mr. Liu Yujian was arrested on October 28, 2010. On the tenth day of a persecution-protest hunger strike in the Chaoyang Police Department Detention Center, he developed symptoms of high blood pressure, a heart problem, and a gastric ulcer.

2. [Laixi, Shandong Province] Ms. Ding Hongfang and Ms. Wang Honglei Persecuted
Ms. Ding Hongfang and Ms. Wang Honglei were taken to the Dashan Detention Center in Qingdao City on October 21, 2010, but the center officials refused to accept them. The two practitioners were taken to this detention center again the next day.

The Shuangyashan City 610 Office deputy head, along with Shuangyashan Mine 610 Office agents, arrested Mr. Chen Yan on November 4, 2010. Mr. Chen is employed at the mine. He is now in the Wuchang Brainwashing Center.
5. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Tao Xiuying and Ms. Liu Cuiyu Arrested and Funds Extorted from Their Families
Ms. Tao Xiuying and Ms. Liu Cuiyu from Wei County were arrested on July 10, 2010, as they urged people to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations in Yangzhuangke Township. The township police made the arrests. Li Meng from the Wei County Domestic Security Division and officers from the local police station ransacked the two practitioners' homes and confiscated their computers.
Ms. Tao and Ms. Liu were not released until their families each paid 5,000 yuan in extortion.
6. [Geermu City, Qinghai Province] Mr. Fu Tianxiang and Ms. He Jingyu Face Trial
Mr. Fu Tianxiang, 54 years old, and his wife, Ms. He Jingyu, 48, went to distribute information about Falun Gong the evening of September 8, 2009. A female plainclothes officer reported them to the police. Ms. He was arrested. Mr. Fu was able to escape. Domestic Security Division head Wang Jianping and others ransacked their home within 30 minutes. The home invaders seized a computer, two printers, three boxes of printer paper, 3,000 CDs, and Falun Gong books and informational materials.
Police officer Wang Jianping and others arrested Mr. Fu at Mr. Fu's colleague's home on September 16, 2009. The couple is in the Geermu Detention Center. Their family was only allowed to visit them once, during the 2010 Chinese New Year.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Wenxian Detained
Ms. Liu Wenxian and Ms. Wang Haiyan, mother and daughter, live in Wangchu Village, Doudian Town in the Fangshan District. Fangshan Domestic Security Division agents arrested them on October 28, 2010, and confiscated their computer, printer, and other personal belongings. Ms. Xu Shuhua was arrested that same day. The three practitioners are in the Fangshan District Detention Center.
8. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Jia Yanping Held in a Brainwashing Facility
Ms. Jia Yanping was on an errand on November 5, 2010, when someone from her neighborhood committee made a phone call to her and asked her to return home. Ms. Jia was then taken to a local brainwashing facility.
In addition, neighborhood committee personnel recently harassed Ms. Tian Xin and Ms. Wang Qi at home.

Mr. Chen Hongchun and Mr. Gao Huobao from Liuge Town were arrested the evening of November 5, 2010, as they distributed information about Falun Gong in Daoqiao Town, Yunmeng County. Daoqiao Police Station officers made the arrests. The two practitioners are in the Yunmeng County Detention Center.

On October 26, the Luyuan District Domestic Security Division head and others arrested Mr. Wang Zhanjun, in his 40s, and confiscated his computer, Falun Gong books and informational materials, and a Falun emblem. Mr. Wang is in the Weizigou Detention Center.
13. [Fugou County, Henan Province] Ms. Qi Qinglian Arrested from Home
Fugou County Police Department officers arrested Ms. Qi Qinglian at home on November 1, 2010. Ms. Qi's husband did not know this until he returned home that evening and saw a note the police had left. A notebook computer and two books were confiscated. Ms. Qi's whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Dezhi Arrested
Ms. Yang was arrested on November 5, 2010, as she went to attend her mother-in-law's funeral. An officer surnamed Liu from the Jinmen Road Police Station and others took Ms. Yang to the police station. They took her to the Dashan Detention Center the next day.
Previous arrest: Ms. Yang Dezhi, 47, owns a barbershop. Local 610 Office agents and the police followed an elderly woman practitioner to Ms. Yang's barbershop in March 2005 and attempted to arrest the practitioner, but she was able to escape. The police then ransacked Ms. Yang's home, confiscated a computer and a printer, a horizontally inscribed board with three words "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and Falun Gong books. Ms. Yang was able to escape and has lived away from home for five and a half years to avoid persecution.

Agents from different departments arrested 26 practitioners between 8:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on October 26, 2010. Those involved in the arrests included officers from the Jinzhou City 610 Office, the Jinzhou City Domestic Security Division, Linghe District Police Department, and Guta Police Department. Two were arrested the evening of October 22; 23 on October 26; and one practitioner on October 27.

Ms. Ren Qiuyun and Ms. Ren Suie were arrested on October 14 and October 21, 2010. Officials extorted 200 yuan from their families and released them on November 5. After an unsuccessful attempt to arrest Ms. Feng Qin, officials extorted 3,000 yuan from her family.

Mr. Liu Gensong, an employee of a rural credit cooperative in Yishui County, and Ms. Ma Huaizhen, a resident of Nanzhuang Village, Yishui Town, went to Quanli Town to distribute truth-clarification materials on the evening of November 6. Quanli Town Police Station agents arrested them and hold them at the Yishui Detention Center.

21. [Wuchang District, Hubei Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrests of Mr. Rao Chongqing and Ms. Hu Aihong
Two plainclothes officers from the Xujiapeng Police Station arrived at the home Wangjiadun practitioner Mr. Rong Chongqing, claiming they were there to take the census at 10:00 a.m. on November 5. They confiscated the following personal belongings: four laptop computers, one laser printer, one DVD writer, 40 copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, eight sets of Falun Dafa books, other books, and more than 4,000 yuan in cash from a clothes cabinet. A police van arrived at 2 p.m. and took Mr. Rao's wife, Peng, and visitor Ms. Hu Aihong away.
The police also went to Mr. Rao's workplace that afternoon, handcuffed Mr. Rao, and confiscated the following items that belonged to his workplace: one laptop computer, one DVD writer, and one printer. They took Mr. Rao to the police station and transferred him elsewhere at 1 a.m. Ms. Hu Aihong was also transferred to another place. Mr. Rao's wife Peng was released at 2 a.m. Mr. Rao is currently in the Qingling Detention Center. Ms. Hu Aihong is currently in a facility in Erzhigou in the Dongxihu District.
22. [Zoucheng City, Shandong Province] Yanzhou Coal Mining Group Rescue Team Member Mr. Ding Hong Arrested and Sent to the Zhangqiu Brainwashing Center in Jinan City on October 14, 2010
23. [Yunnan Province] Yimen Bureau of Mines Employee Ms. Li Ruihua Persecuted in Yunnan Province's Second Women's Prison
Ms. Li Ruihua, 70, is a Yimen Bureau of Mines employee. Police arrested her in early September 2009 for telling people about Falun Gong and kept her at the Wuhua District Detention Center.
City Intermediate Court officials sentenced Ms. Li covertly to three years of imprisonment on June 7, 2010, and incarcerated her at the Yunnan Province Second Women's Prison. Gross abuse and mistreatment led to Ms. Li experiencing rapid heartbeat of over 140 times per minute. Prison officials informed Mr. Li's daughter who requested her mother's release on medical parole. Prison officials refused the request.

Ms. Huang Lihua, a teacher at the Suizhong Experimental Primary School, was recently grossly abused and mistreated in the Huludao Brainwashing Center, leading to heart disease. Before she had recovered, agents from the Huludao City 610 Office and Domestic Security Division went to Suizhong County to investigate Ms. Huang. They also threatened local education department officials, attempting to further persecute her.
