(Clearwisdom.net) Security chief Yuan Jinghua and Wu Youdong of the Deyang Refractory Company, Secretary Li Zhengguo of the Retiree Office, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Secretary Yu Zhaoyuan, and Union Chairman Zhou Jicheng went to the regional market and arrested retiree Mr. Meng Hualong at around 10:00 a.m. on August 10, 2010. They took him to a brainwashing "camp" at Baotan Village Elementary School in Hexing Town, Guanghan. They have detained and tortured him for 63 days and have not allowed relatives to visit.

During Mr. Meng's detention, he has not been given any food and is not allowed to use the restroom. Several personal cangues tied up his hands and legs, brutally beat him after tying him to the Tiger Bench, and bombarded him with high decibel sound from two tweeters. The two tweeters were placed very close to Mr. Meng's ears and emitted all kinds of noises, including sounds from cutting machines and grinders. This has caused serious damage to Meng Hualong's physical and mental health.

The Guanghan 610 Office set up the Brainwashing Camp at Baotan Village Elementary School specifically to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners taken to the camp have been employees of schools, government offices, companies, etc. They are all dog-tagged with plates listing their sex, age, number, etc., but their names and company names have been excluded. When camp officials were asked why the practitioners' names are not on the plates, they answered that they were afraid of Falun Gong practitioners exposing them and calling them. There is no sign on the door to the camp, and the front door is often closed, just like a prison.

The camp staff uses many different methods to try to force practitioners to abandon cultivating Falun Gong. They persecute them financially, deducting their pension payments, threatening to deprive their relatives of the right to work, and so on. Practitioners are brutally beaten, subjected to the Tiger Bench, deprived of sleep, not given food and water, and confined in small, solitary cells. In the small cells they are forced to sleep, eat, and use a chamber pot while the two tweeters continue to bombard them with noise. They are tortured physically and mentally.

Three of the main figures responsible for this persecution are: secretary Yang and female head Mao of the Guanghan Political and Judiciary Committee and former vice president Tan from the Xinhua Town School in Guanghan.
