Taiwan: Changhua County Council Passes a Resolution Denying Entry of Severe Human Rights Violators (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 17, 2010, Changhua County Council passed a unanimous resolution calling on Taiwan's central government to deny entry to severe human rights violators, and for the city to refuse to invite, welcome or meet such human rights criminals. Chanhua County Council is the second local council to pass such a resolution, following Kaohsiung City Council.

Changhua Council member Chang Hsue-ru said, "For such human rights violators, we object their visiting Taiwan and Changhua. Our all council members and people in Changhua object their visiting Taiwan."

Changhua Council member Lai An-chang said, "This is a historical moment. It is a warning to Chinese officials involved in trampling human rights and in live organ harvesting. It will also call on everyone to stand out to safeguard human rights."

Commercial trade between Taiwan and the mainland flourishing, but many Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials participate in the persecution of Falun Gong and violate human rights. Some of them were served with lawsuits when visiting Taiwan and other countries.
