November 13, 2010 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from Heilongjiang Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on November 4, 2010, officers from the Dongfeng Police Department in Jiamusi illegally arrested 21 elderly Falun Gong practitioners. Twenty of them are women, the oldest close to 80 years old.

On June 22 of this year, Ms. Sun Libin was taken away by officers from the Jiadong Police Station. Her mother had been going to the police station to ask for Ms. Sun's release. On the morning of November 4, 2010, three Falun Gong practitioners accompanied Ms. Sun's mother went to the Jiadong Police Station again and asked Feng Kaidong, chief of the police station, to release Ms. Sun. About 20 practitioners gathered near the police station and silently provided support. Officers from the Jiadong Police Station reported to the Dongfeng Police Department, saying that Falun Gong practitioners had besieged the police station.

At about 11 a.m., Xu Yongli, director of the Dongfeng Police Department, dispatched multiple police vehicles and many officers under his command to block all access roads to Jiadong Police Station. Plainclothes officers seized 21 Falun Gong practitioners who stood along the sidewalk or in the residential area nearby.

Among those arrested, only one was male. The youngest was 58, and the rest over 60. The police brutally dragged them into vehicles.

Seven practitioners have been released because of their physical conditions. The other 14 are being held in the Jiamusi Detention Center.
