(Clearwisdom.net) When my husband had an affair over ten years ago, I was left feeling seriously hurt inside. I wondered why this had happened to me and felt resentful and jealous. In order to keep my family together, I held back my feelings and suffered inside for four years.

When I was deeply lost in resentment and self-pity, one of my colleagues brought me the book Zhuan Falun to read. I was deeply moved by Master's teachings of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Master's Fa opened my heart, and I finally understood that it was my own karma that caused me misfortune. In order to practice cultivation, I should get rid of such feelings and treat those who had hurt me with kindness so that I could eliminate my karma, even though doing so was sometimes painful.

I kept studying and reciting the Fa, and disciplining myself with the Fa's principles. When bad thoughts came into my mind, I eliminated them with righteous thoughts. When I felt that a situation was difficult to deal with, I looked at Master's picture and said, "I must get rid of the attachment to sentimentality. I will get rid of it." When I finally rid myself of this attachment, I enlightened that as long as a practitioner truly cultivates, there is no test that cannot be overcome. If Master hadn't saved me, I might still be lost, wallowing in the depths of sentimentality.

My 106-year-old mother

My mother is 106 years old this year. She is very healthy and is able to take care of herself. When she was 93 years old, she was diagnosed with gallstones. Doctors refused to operate on her because of her age, and only gave her medicine. But the medicine had little effect.

I had been practicing Falun Gong for one year at that time. Master cleansed my body and I experienced miraculous changes in my physical and mental health, so I asked my mom to practice as well. She said, "I'm already so old, I can't practice cultivation. Let me just read the book." Since then, my mom has continually read Zhuan Falun. When I asked her what she learned from the book, she said, "I find some parts difficult to understand, and I often read one part and forget the rest. But I know that Master is teaching people to be good." My mom read Zhuan Falun again and again. Without an attachment to wanting to be cured, her swelling pains disappeared. She told me, "What good does taking this medicine do? I won't take medicine anymore!" When she went for a follow-up examination, doctors found that the gallstones had all gone. I told her, "It is revered Master who has cleansed your body."

My mother had several serious falls, and each time when she had an X-ray it was found that her bones were all intact. Doctors said that her bones looked healthier and like those of a person much younger than her.

People are awakening

A good friend of mine read Zhuan Falun and said, "I feel so comfortable reading this book." She liked listening to Master's teachings and reading Master's lectures, but she worried about being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and so never started cultivating.

When I talked to her about quitting the CCP, she said, "The CCP really is evil. When I was young, I personally witnessed my uncle, who was a landowner, being beaten to death by the regime's henchmen." She then helped all of her family members to quit the CCP. When we watched the Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD together she couldn't take her eyes off the screen, and was constantly commenting on how beautiful it looked.

When I asked one of my relatives, who works for the government, to quit the CCP, I first let her read Master's two teachings, "Turning the Wheel Towards the Human World" and "We Are Not 'Getting Political'" After reading them carefully, she declared that she wished to quit the CCP. She said, "Through my work at the government agency, I deeply understand the truth about the CCP's evil deeds. They always make up lies to cheat and hurt people. They are seriously corrupt, and they bully and oppress the Chinese people. I declare that I wish to quit the CCP and make a clean break from this evil regime, to choose a brighter future for myself!"

During this 11-year-long persecution, my relatives were poisoned most seriously. They were deluded by the CCP's lies, but gradually they came to know the facts. When the police come to harass us, they often tell them, "The CCP caused the June 4 Tiananmen Massacre and the persecution of Falun Gong; both are totally wrong. You should think about your own future and consider what you are doing! Don't blindly follow the orders of the CCP!"

Thanks to the compassion of Dafa and the power of the truth, people are awakening and are choosing to stand on the righteous side.
