(Clearwisdom.net) Is it possible to maintain strong righteous thoughts every single moment, 24 hours a day? I would say yes. Every moment we must consider ourselves practitioners, cultivators, Dafa disciples; particularly Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period. If we can achieve this, then it must be possible.
Non-practitioners' thoughts focus on how to live a comfortable life, so thoughts of making money and owning a house are of primary importance. They cling to their own things out of fear that they will fall into others' hands. If another person takes hold of what is theirs, they would perhaps even risk their own lives to retrieve their possessions: "...he fears losing self-interest even in dreams." (Zhuan Falun) What about us? We are Dafa practitioners. As Dafa practitioners, we concern ourselves with only three things, far fewer than what non-practitioners concern themselves with. In addition, we are cultivators. We have the power of our divine side that we've achieved through cultivation. We mustn't constantly bother ourselves with trivial matters of non-practitioners.
Our power derives from the part of ourselves that is divine and is achieved through cultivation. What is there that we cannot accomplish? It is only because our main consciousness isn't strong enough that we are deceived by the false perceptions of ordinary human society. "After falling into a world that is, by comparison, most filthy, instead of cultivating yourself to go back in a hurry, you don't let go of those filthy things that you cling to in this filthy world, and you even agonize over the most trivial losses." ("True Cultivation" from Essentials for Further Advancement) If we can set ourselves upright and distinguish between what is real and false within ourselves, then we shouldn't have any problem upholding our righteous thoughts every single moment.
In addition, let us talk about truth clarification and persuading people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. I believe our efforts in clarifying the truth or encouraging people to quit the Party are ineffective when we have not been able to let go of our human attachments--Non-practitioners cannot change others' destinies. If you have human attachments and he has human attachments, would you be able to make him understand and persuade him to withdraw? "You have qi, and the other person has qi as well. How can you treat him with your qi? Perhaps his qi will overpower yours! There is no constraint between this qi and that qi." (Zhuan Falun) Perhaps what he says would even make you dumbfounded and speechless. You would have fallen under his influence.
Only by not carrying any human attachments, by being selfless and having a heart of compassion can we truly have the effect of saving sentient beings. Only through this righteous state can the true power of compassion reach the depths of their minds, touch the kindhearted side of human nature, and correct the wrongful state of people's minds.
Actually, I've only started to enlighten a bit in this matter. I hope I can continue to advance and improve along with my fellow practitioners and help Teacher validate the Fa. For all sentient beings and for ourselves, we must always improve in doing the three things Teacher has asked Dafa practitioners to do.
