Taiwan: Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition at Chang Gung University (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The International Truth-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibition is being held at Chang Gung University from September 16 to 26, 2009. At the opening ceremony, many dignitaries welcomed the exhibition. After seeing the paintings, the secretary of Gueishan Township invited practitioners to show the works in Gueishan Township.

The exhibition was held in the Student Union. During lunch hours, about 10,000 students go to the Union. Teachers and students from nearby middle schools and elementary schools have made reservations to see the paintings. The reservation list was full in a few days.

Representative from the New Sancai Culture Association Chang Chin-Hwa spoke at the opening ceremony. Professor Chang said that beauty emerges from being truthful, compassionate, and forbearing. "Without Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, there wouldn't be such an art exhibition," said Chang, "Every painting is a true story. Every movement of the characters in the paintings are true manifestations of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. The paintings can move people and are real art of beauty."

Chiu Li-rong represented Gueishan Township. She said she did not fully understand Falun Gong but knew about the persecution. She hoped that Falun Dafa would spread to every corner of the world, bringing Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. "This will bring the world good fortune," said Chiu.

Gong Wen-Hwa, Director of the Chang Gung Hospital Administrative Office, said that he felt very calm and peaceful looking at the paintings. "I will spend more time to understand Falun Dafa and hope that I can become a practitioner," said Gong.

Wu Ching-Hwa works in the Office of Student Affairs in Chang Gung University. She believes that Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is a universal value that today's society needs. Wu represented the University to welcome Falun Gong. "It's our honor and we are fortunate to be able to host this exhibition here. We will promote it so more people will come to see it."

Secretary of Gueishan Township Lin Wen-Neng said that art could cultivate and purify one's soul. There will be a series of art and cultural event in Gueishan in October, and Lin hoped the exhibition would come to Gueishan so that more people there could enjoy this world-class art.

Many professors and students praised the outstanding skills of the artists. They thought the paintings had profound meanings and left them with a feeling of peace. Some of them wanted to learn Falun Gong after seeing the paintings.
