Elevating As a Coordinator

Becoming a Coordinator

I started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. My father was the assistant at the local practice site. He was arrested after a fellow practitioner was pressured into giving information about him to local police. All of a sudden, local practitioners could no longer access articles from the Minghui/Clearwisdom website or read Teacher's new articles. Realizing that there was a need for a coordinator, I decided to continue where my father left off.

As I delivered and dropped off truth-clarification materials, I got to know practitioners from Town A. When their materials production sites was destroyed, they asked if I could help them. I agreed. Therefore, I became involved with truth-clarification materials production on a much larger scale. Many practitioners asked me for materials, equipment, and computers, and many needed to be trained on how to get on the Internet. I was overwhelmed by the workload and was not sure if I could handle the pressure. Then, I remembered what Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference," "I want to lead you to success. Only when you need things in certain regards do I tell you to go and do them."

It occurred to me that I had to strengthen my righteous thoughts. Is this what Teacher wanted me to do? As soon as I followed Teacher's Fa teaching and strengthened my righteous thoughts, my environment changed. Practitioners from other towns provided training in technical skills, delivered computers, and assisted with everything else that was needed. In coordinating all activities, I received great help from rural practitioners. Whenever anything happened, they shared their understanding of the Fa principles. I felt that I was immersed in the huge Dafa energy field.

I would like to express my gratitude for Teacher's merciful protection and for the selfless help from other practitioners. Without all that, I would not have been able to be successful in all that had to be done.

I would like to share how I elevated while doing coordination work.

Elevating as a Coordinator

I realized that coordinators should complement fellow practitioners' activities and help practitioners reach their potential and become independent in their Dafa work, so we could mature together and advance. While we are assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa, we should immerse ourselves in the one body. Being a coordinator is also cultivation and helps us improve and elevate as a group.

I learned from prior coordinators' mistakes. Two local coordinators seemed to have problems cooperating with each other. One day, on our way to a local experience sharing meeting, I witnessed them yelling at each other. They told each other to look inward and insisted on their own way of doing things. I was a bystander and did not know what to do. As I witnessed this, I was at a loss as to what to do and how to react. I could only send forth righteous thoughts.

I thought about it and wondered why I had to see that and what was I supposed to enlighten to. Finally, after a few days, I realized that neither one could not see the other's point of view and that they were lost in their own little worlds. They wanted to change the other person and only thought of other people's attachments. They were so busy that they neglected to study the Fa or do the exercises regularly. This was a good lesson for me. No matter what we do, we must be diligent with out Fa study, otherwise our human mentalities will emerge and negate the righteous force. Also, our one body will not form and practitioners will be unable to merge with the one body. Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. International Fa Conference," "Whenever human thoughts emerge among Dafa disciples, it is something the evil will take advantage of, and the evil beings will use it to do the bad things they want to do."

Assistant B and I became acquainted when she picked up copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Whenever we had an issue, we shared our understanding on the Fa. Once, close to the Chinese New Year, a practitioner suggested that we go door to door with cards that were inscribed with couplets as a gift and clarify the truth at the same time. We thought it was a good idea and made arrangements with Practitioner C to pick up the cards in the evening. When we arrived there, C told us that all had already been given to other practitioners. B became very angry. She yelled, "Who took them? We must have them back. People are waiting for them." I didn't say a word, but I felt that she had lost her cool. I thought about how she had been practicing for such a long time and had studied so much more Fa than I, but she displayed such a poor cultivation state. I then called the other practitioner and asked for the cards to be returned. B just took them and left.

After I arrived at home, I thought she was acting like someone still immersed in the Party culture and as if she was a leader. Then I thought about what she was facing day-in and day-out: a disabled husband, two school-aged children, and a diabetic sister-in-law. She really had a full plate. And yet, when the persecution started, when other assistants copped out, she opened her home as a distribution center for fact clarification materials about the persecution of Falun Gong and about the practice. She had such strong righteous thoughts and was truly remarkable. I could see her merits. While I was thinking about this, my discontent disappeared. Then I thought about studying the Fa.

The next day when I saw her, she shared with me that she regretted what had happened. She said to me, "Why did I act like that yesterday evening? I truly displayed a poor cultivation state." After we all looked inward, our relationship became harmonious.
