(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts Spring Tour 2009 amazed and thrilled audiences at San Jose's Center for the Performing Arts on May 15-17, 2009.

Symphony Board Member: "They are just amazing!"

After watching the opening show, Mrs. Telesky, a dedicated patron of the arts, said, "I loved the show ... absolutely love it. And the next time it's here, I'll be here."

Commenting on her arts background she said, "I'm on the board of the Symphony of Silicon Valley. I'm involved with the Opera of San José, and I'm involved with the American Beethoven Society, because I like the arts.

"I think the arts are important. I enjoy it, and watching people with that kind of talent--what a joy! I think it's terrific. And the sets and the way they come to life--I have never seen that done any place else, and I think that's fantastic," she said at the show's VIP reception.

An accomplished competitive ballroom dancer herself, she appreciated the dancers' precision and skill. "I think they are fantastic. I could practice until I was blue in the face, and I could never do what they do. I watch their feet all the time, and I watch where their centers are and, oh, my gosh, they are just amazing! And, they are so well-trained, they are so graceful, they are so talented, their skill set is amazing. And the stillness! It's very hard to make your body be very still in movement. That takes an awful lot of effort, an awful lot of training.

"This is such a fantastic show. Everything about it is just wonderful, and those costumes were just gorgeous, and the fan work--just really wonderful. The water one ["Nymphs of the Sea"] and the one where they have the cloth they were spinning ["Forsythia in Spring"]. I just sat and absorbed ... I just sat there totally enjoying it," she said.

Mrs. Telesky thought it was nice to see male dancers get the stage. "It's wonderful to see guys actually having a chance to dance. It was very masculine dancing."

Surgeon Family: Every aspect of it was wonderful

Spinal surgeon Guy, and his wife, Nora, a home-schooling mother, and their two children, Yasmin and Julianna, and their aunt, Catherine, were happy to talk about the show.

Nora said, "It was wonderful. Every aspect of it was wonderful--the singing, the dancing, the costumes, and the instruments." Julianna excitedly added, "Entertaining! We liked it," and Yasmin said it was "really cool."

Guy said he liked it very much, too. "The costumes were very vibrant. My favorite was probably the drums and the water scene ["Nymphs of the Sea"]. It was beautiful." He also said that the music was "excellent."

Aunt Catherine said she found Shen Yun "different from anything that I have ever seen before."

Chinese Business Owner: "Everything works together with so much harmony"

Ms. Guo, formerly from Beijing, is a bridal image design specialist, makeup artist, and a financial analyst. She attended the show with her young daughter and her father-in-law, Mr. Remlinger, a supervisor at a large home improvement retailer.

Ms. Guo thoroughly enjoyed the show, saying, "I liked the whole thing--I think the whole show was very beautiful, very graceful. I enjoyed it so much. There is something from my culture--it really touched my heart. That's why I brought my whole family. I bought them all tickets, because I want to share the culture of my country--the traditions."

Her young daughter piped up and said that she liked "Dance of the Yi" with the colorful skirts. "I liked the skirts. ... I liked that part."

Mr. Remlinger said he was "very impressed" with the performance. He particularly liked the dance "Mongolian Chopsticks" and also the drums, saying the show was "really, really moving. I'm really impressed--the delicacy of the ladies that were dancing. I haven't seen anything like that in a long time--it was very beautiful."

Ms. Guo concluded by saying, "The fans ["Welcoming Spring"] are very nice, very graceful, very beautiful, and very elegant. I think everything works together with so much harmony. The music, the costumes, the singing and dancing--all beautiful. I liked every piece."

"I have never seen anything like this before"

Mr. Bathini, a video engineering manager for a global Internet company, was in the audience. He thought the synchronization in the dances was excellent. "I have never seen anything like this before. So many dances--immaculate and precise."

He particularly enjoyed the dance "Welcoming Spring," saying, "It was extremely well-coordinated and colorful."

Mr. Bathini found the music very soothing and "very relaxing," almost as if it had "medicinal value."

Of Indian heritage, Mr. Bathini felt that Shen Yun would be well-received in India saying, "I'm sure people would come."

Mr. Bathini thought "Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution," was "really touching."
