On the CCP's 'Death Vans' and Live Organ Harvesting

According to a report in The Daily Mail (UK, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1165416/Chinas-hi-tech-death-van-criminals-executed-organs-sold-black-market.html), the CCP first launched its hi-tech 'death vans' to carry out death penalties three years ago. However, before the Beijing Olympic Games last summer, the CCP tried to keep information about the existence of these vehicles hush-hush in order to prevent an international row. The 'death vans' have been deployed across China. The vehicle is disguised to look like a normal police van, but its interior is equipped like a hospital operating room. They chillingly echo one of the darkest episodes in human history: when the Nazis killed millions in their death camps during World War II.

The Daily Mail pointed out that "China insists these death vans are 'progress.'" The biggest advantage is that prisoner organs--including eyes, kidneys, liver, lungs, and pancreas--can be harvested efficiently and then delivered quickly to nearby hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. The organs are sold to wealthy people awaiting organ transplants in hospitals and also to 'organ tourists' from neighboring countries.

The 49-page "Report on Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China" was released in July 2006 by a Canadian independent investigators. The authors of the report--David Kilgour, former Canadian Secretary of State for Asia Pacific, and David Matas, a renowned human rights attorney--pointed out that during the preceding five years, the source of at least 41,500 organ transplants is unexplained, and those organs were most likely harvested from Falun Gong practitioners. The report provided 33 classes of evidence, all which corroborated this conclusion. The CCP has never responded to the report in any form. However, the Party claims that the the organ transplant trade has been outlawed since May 2007, which is a tacit recognition of the results of the investigation.

Based on solid evidence, since August 2006, Mr. Manfred Nowak, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Question of Torture, and Ms. Asma Jahangir, the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion, have iterated many times their findings on the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in China to the United Nations Committee against Torture. On December 21, 2008, the committee specifically requested that the CCP investigate the charges that Falun Gong practitioners were tortured and their organs harvested. The committee also requested that China bring the persons in charge of any such persecution to justice.

The Jiang regime set up the 610 Office to systematically persecute Falun Gong and employ an extermination policy to "ruin their (the practitioners') reputations, bankrupt them financially and destroy them physically," as well as "It is not a crime to beat them to death, just accuse them of having committed suicide," "not checking the source of bodies and cremating them immediately." In recent years, countless Chinese prisons and forced labor camps have catalogued blood samples taken from Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners later disappear, raising many suspicions.

As early as December 22, 2000, the website Minghui.net (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) reported that some police and doctors in China conspired to sell organs of Falun Gong practitioners. A Chinese medicine hospital in Shijiazhuang got a quota of six. In addition, according an insider of the Shenyang Army District, in those years, there were at least 36 concentration camps in China, similar to the one in Sujiatun. This outrageous practice has gone on in forced labor camps, prisons, and hospitals since 2000.

In recent years, the number of organ transplants in China has increased dramatically. Taking liver transplants as an example, according to official data, there were only 78 liver transplants in China between 1990 and 1998. By 2003, the number had increased to more than 3000. In 2005, there were nearly 4000 liver transplants and about 10,000 kidney transplants in China. Less than 300 of the kidney transplants identified a donor.

Every year, the the CCP sentences about 1800 individuals to death. The persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999. From then until 2005, the total number of organ transplants increased to 60,000, which exceeds the number of executed prisoners by many times. Where did the donors come from?

A report in Time Magazine in 2005 commented that the CCP's forced labor camps truly exist outside any law. They are places with privileges that employ criminal practices without regard to the law. It is well known that forced labor camps, detention centers, prisons and "legal education schools" (brainwashing centers) brutally torture Falun Gong practitioners. How many other outrages, such as live organ harvesting and the cremation of bodies to destroy the evidence, are hidden behind their high walls?

The ancients said: "God's justice is manifest, Heaven will ultimately reward the good and punish the bad." At the international military tribunal in Nuremberg, Germany, after World War II, the killers were brought to justice. In the same way, those who have brutally persecuted Falun Gong practitioners will finally be brought to justice. Those who have committed live organ harvesting will meet the same end as the hatchet men in the Nazi concentration camps.
