ANTWERP, Belgium--The highly-acclaimed Divine Performing Arts (DPA) shows continues to be warmly received by audiences at Antwerp's Stadsschouwburg Theater. "Magnifique!" exclaimed one audience member, who works for a highly placed member in the government.

The guiding mission of DPA is to "rediscover and renew humanity's true, rightful cultural heritage." One appreciative member of the audience agreed, "It was very nice, I liked it. Yes, yes! It was very nice ... and magnifique!"

Mr. Bout and his wife, a professional dancer, thoroughly enjoyed the program.

"The choreography was very, very nice. Yes! And the dancers were .... It was just magnifique!"

The program states that, "While it is in classical Chinese dance that the artists of DPA have their foundational training, the company also includes Chinese ethnic and folk dance."

She went on to add that she was greatly moved by traditional Chinese culture, as presented within the performances, and plans to attend the show when it next returns to Belgium. "It is very, very powerful. I like it and I will come back!"

Mrs. Bout-Smit, a professional dancer, as well as a dance teacher, and her husband, Ben Bout, also attended Wednesday evening's Feb. 25 performance. After seeing the flyers advertising the show in Antwerp, they had traveled all the way back from Holland just to watch the show. "Last week when I happened to be here in Antwerp, I saw the flyers. I thought it looked very nice, [so] let's go see it," said Mr. Bout.

Because she is a professional dancer, and has taught dance, Ms. Bout-Smit said that she is sensitive to the training and the intricacies of the dances and choreography that she saw on stage tonight. "It was really magnificent to see! The choreography is very well thought out. Sixteen people on the stage at the same time! All those movements, and the difficulty. ... Yes, magnificent would be the correct way to say it!"

She also shared that she was intrigued by the unique blend of classical Western instruments and traditional Chinese instruments of DPA's orchestra. "It was nice! It's live music, and it's Chinese music. This is totally different from the European [music]. This is totally different and magnificent to see!

"It was really magnificent to see. I think it is beautiful!" Ms. Bout-Smit concluded.
