Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry Proclaims March 18 as Divine Performing Arts Day in the State of Oklahoma

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 18, 2009, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) will perform at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, in the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Brad Henry, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, proclaimed March 18, 2009 as "The Divine Performance Arts Day" in the State of Oklahoma.

Whereas, Divine Performing Arts presents the true cultural heritage of traditional China; and

Whereas, Divine Performing Arts not only entertain, but also more deeply educate, enrich, and inspire, which offers audiences of all ages a rare experience of consummate beauty and goodness; and

Whereas, The Divine Performing Arts 2008 world tour staged its traditional Chinese theatrical performance in 66 cities, 215 times for an estimated 600,000 total viewers; and

Whereas, "Brilliant, Inspiring, Glorious" has been the overwhelming response to Divine Performing Arts' shows. It's traditional Chinese culture as it was meant to be - a study in grace, fluidity, balance, inner strength, and positive values; and

Whereas, The Divine Performing Arts performs original works of classical Chinese dance which are coupled with original music and song; and

Whereas, the unique feature of The Divine performing Arts classical Chinese dance is its lending of emphasis to not only the beauty of movement, but also the expression of substance; and

Whereas, groundbreaking music seamlessly combines the best of the East and West, giving each dance an unmistakable exuberance; and

Whereas, from radiant orange hued Tang dynasty gowns, to dragon-emblazoned imperial robes and intricate phoenix headpieces, each Divine Performing Arts dance bursts with color, texture, and charm thanks to a breathtaking array or original costumes; and

Whereas, majestic Chinese palaces, sprawling Mongolian grasslands, rustic Buddhist temples, cascading clouds, billowing seas, blossoming landscapes, the breathtaking digital backdrops at each Divine Performing Arts show bring classical Chinese dance into the 21st century, adding to each performance a touch of awe;

Now, Therefore, I, Brad Henry, Governor of the State of Oklahoma, do hereby proclaim March 18, 2009, as

"The Divine Performing Arts Day"

in the State of Oklahoma.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma to be affixed.
