(Clearwisdom.net) I was blessed to obtain Falun Dafa in 1997. After returning from the practice site that first day, my entire body felt light. I had gone to see a doctor just the day before, but I was suddenly transformed into a different person who had no illnesses. I marveled at the miracle that Falun Gong had worked, and I could not express my excitement other than by shouting "Master! Master!" in my heart. I made up mind to persevere in cultivation. Master's compassionate protection has enabled me to continue on my cultivation path and to mature along the way. I wish to express my gratitude to Master and share how I have matured through my truth clarification activities.
Master has mentioned in numerous Fa lectures that disciples should seize the moment to save sentient beings by doing the Three Things well. Fa study has helped me realize that as a Dafa practitioner, it is my sacred duty to clarify the truth, save people, and assist Master in Fa-rectification. But getting started in truth clarification was not easy for me. I would tremble when posting a leaflet or leaving one at a neighbor's door. I was too timid to face the neighbor for whom I was leaving the leaflet, let alone present the truth in person. After further studying the Fa, sharing with fellow practitioners, and reading Minghui Weekly, I realized why I was so afraid to present the truth face to face - it was my selfishness. Master said in "Non-Omission in Buddha Nature" in Essentials for Further Advancement,
"I also want to tell you that your nature in the past was actually based on egoism and selfishness. From now on, whatever you do, you should consider others first, so as to attain the righteous Enlightenment of selflessness and altruism. So from now on, whatever you do or whatever you say, you must consider others - or even future generations - along with Dafa's eternal stability."
I sent forth righteous thoughts to clear the evil influences around me. Regardless of my lack of courage, I had to clarify the truth in person - to save people. Saving people is the sacred duty and mission of practitioners during this Fa-rectification period. As long as I had this intention in my heart, everything else would be done by Master.
On one occasion, practitioners in our Fa study group decided to go to the countryside to clarify the truth. We planned to go in pairs by motorcycle, but we did not have enough motorcycles. I had a dream the night before in which I arrived in a rural village. The next morning, another young practitioner from the country rode a motorcycle to where we lived. He insisted on going with us, and so I was able to ride on his motorcycle. On another occasion, we arrived at a tourist site and ran into several guards and young men. They too had been in my dream. They were young police officers, and they were glad to assimilate themselves into the Fa. When my fellow practitioner asked where we would start presenting the truth, I replied, "Right here! Isn't this where Master has led us?"
On another trip to the countryside, the sky looked quite dark. I wondered whether it was going to rain, but the other practitioners were sure the weather would be alright. We did not even bring umbrellas. We put over 50 miles on the odometer and walked across villages, through fields, and along trails. We did not get home until 7:30 p.m., but the sky actually became brighter and brighter as we traveled. On our way home, the sunset pierced the thick clouds and cast its golden rays on us. We had handed out over 60 DVDs and 40 brochures and persuaded over 20 people to quit the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. I did not expect that our trip would last so long or be so productive. As I was returning home, however, I worried that I still needed to cook for my husband and child. But as it turned out, my husband was invited to a class reunion that night, and our child went to a friend's house for dinner. I was grateful for Master's kind arrangement.
In the small town where I live, I sometimes ride a bicycle and look for opportunities to tell the truth to people. One day, I saw several people from the countryside who appeared to be waiting for something at a corner. Another practitioner and I approached them and gave them DVDs, brochures, and mementos. Some put the mementos around their necks right away. Five minutes later, the car they had been waiting for arrived. They thanked us and got into the car. It occurred to me that it was actually the truth that they had been waiting for!
There are predestined people among pedestrians, vendors - everywhere! One day we greeted several people as they were walking into a courtyard. We handed them brochures and persuaded them to quit the Communist Party. As they were reading our brochures, one said he had joined the Young Pioneers, and another told us he had joined the Party while he was in the military. They were glad to quit these organizations and thanked us.
Through my truth clarification activities, I have been able to see more of my shortcomings in my work with fellow practitioners, further improve myself through Fa study, and become less selfish. Fellow practitioners, let's work quickly in carrying out the sacred task of saving people. As long as we have the right intention in our hearts, everything else will be arranged by Master!
