1. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhang Qin on a Hunger Strike to Protest the Persecution
Mr. Zhang Qin from the Xuhui District in Shanghai was illegally arrested on June 4, 2009. Arrested at the same time were Ms. Lu Yuzhi from Pudong, Ms. Ye Ying, Mr. Li Yaohua from Luwan, and Mr. Zhang Yibo.
Zhang Qin has been persecuted many times. As the result, nobody looked after his 83-year-old parents and they suffered mentally. Zhang Qin started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. His hunger strike has so far lasted for 150 days. He has continued doing the Falun Gong exercises during the hunger strike. Guards in the detention center force-feed him.

2. [Pingyuan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Shucai Arrested
On October 18, 2009, Mr. Li Shucai from Pingyuan County was arrested in a farmer's market in a village in Yucheng by police from Gaotang County. Mr. Li is now in Gaotang Detention Center.
3. [Yichang, Hubei Province] Mr. Liu Cheng and Ms. Xiang Wenlan Arrested
On the morning of September 21, 2009, staff from 610 Office in the Yiling District in Yichang City, including Zhang Hua, forcibly apprehended Mr. Liu Cheng and Ms. Xiang Wenlan and ransacked their homes. They were taken to the Yichang City Detention Center.

4. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yin Xunzhen, Ms. Xu Shujie, and Ms. Yin Qi Sent to Trial
On October 20, 2009, the court in the Doumen District of Zhuhai City unlawfully held a trial for Ms. Yin Xunzhen, Ms. Xu Shujie, and Ms. Yin Qi. After three lawyers finished presenting their defense for the three practitioners, the presiding judge called a recess.

5. [Weifang, Shandong Province] Mr. Cao Junping Sentenced to Ten Years Imprisonment
In July of 2008, police arrested Mr. Cao Junping in Weifang City and took him to the Weifang City Detention Center. A few days later, he was secretly transferred to the Qingzhou Detention Center. During that time, police interrogated Mr. Cao many times and deprived him of sleep.
The court in Kuiwen, Weifang City, opened a session on July 31, 2009. On October 19, the court opened a session again and sentenced Mr. Cao to ten years imprisonment.

7. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Ms. He Xiuping Arrested at Home
On October 26, 2009, staff from Xingtai City, Ren County, Public Security Bureau, including Liu Zhenguo, charged into Ms. He Xiuping's home in Nanzhanggu Village, Ren County, and took her away. Her whereabouts are unknown.
8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liang Jingxiang Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
Mr. Liang Jingxiang in Yangjia Village, Dachangshan, Changhai County, rented his house to Wu Zhongqiao from Xiaochangshan from July 2009 to September 2009. When Wu Zhongqiao found out that Mr. Liang's entire family practiced Falun Gong, Wu collaborated with three others to falsely accuse him, attempting to take possession of Mr. Liang's house at a low price. Mr. Liang and his wife were arrested by the Changhai County Dachangshan Police Station on August 26.
Mr. Liang was sentenced to two years of forced labor and is now in the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp. His wife, Ms. Chen Shuhong, was released after she failed the physical examination.

9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Additional Facts about the Arrests of Ms. Zhao Guoqin and Her Daughter
Ms. Zhao Guoqin is 71 years old and lives in the Zhonglou District of Pingzhuang, Chifeng City. At 6:00 p.m. on October 29, 2009, four or five people from the Pingzhuang Domestic Security Division arrested her at her home. On October 30, staff from the Domestic Security Division apprehended her third daughter, who does not practice Falun Gong. They took a personal address book and cash. After the arrest of her third daughter, they also took away a computer.
After extorting 10,000 yuan from her, they released Ms. Zhao's third daughter on October 31, 2009. Ms. Zhao is now in the Pingzhuang Detention Center.
