(Clearwisdom.net) After Mr. Liu Xiaozhao passed away, it was rumored that practicing Falun Gong caused his death. Actually, I know the facts better than anyone else. Let me tell everyone the true story.
I live in Xiashan Village, Xinzhuang Township, Laiwu City. Liu Xiaozhao was from the same village. He was a good child when he was young, but he developed nephritis at an early age. He was not able to do any work because of the serious pain in his lower back. He had no energy at all, so he taught himself traditional Chinese medicine in order to treat himself and, at the same time, support his family. The nephritis got a bit better after his self-treatment, but he was still not able to do any heavy work. His wife had to shoulder all the heavy burdens in their life. He opened a clinic at Laiwu Dermatosis Prevention Center. By chance he came into contact with Falun Gong and found it very good. As Falun Gong talks about "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" and how to be a good person, it can enhance health, and it teaches one to be kind. He started practicing Falun Gong. Before he knew it, he became very energetic, and the symptoms of nephritis miraculously disappeared.
In 1999, the Chinese Communist Party started its persecution of Falun Gong. As a person who had benefited a great deal from the practice, Liu Xiaozhao set out to Beijing in order to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. He was stopped on the way and sent back. The Dermatosis Prevention Center was afraid of being implicated so they asked him to leave the clinic. Liu Xiaozhao and his wife had to go back to their old home with their child and struggle along.
In order to meet its goal of persecuting Falun Gong, the CCP lied to incite hatred towards Falun Gong and to stir up conflicts among citizens. Facing many people who opposed Falun Gong because they did not know the truth, Liu Xiaozhao was under a lot of pressure. Xinzhuang Police Station police officer Hou Qingshan often went with others to Liu Xiaozhao's home to harass him and ask if he was still practicing. Hou always took many people with him regardless if it was day or night. Liu Xiaozhao's wife and child were very frightened. They would start to tremble as soon as they heard the police siren.
Actually, since Liu Xiaozhao returned to his old home, he had stopped practicing Falun Gong under the stress of his life. But when the local police asked if he was still practicing, he always told them he was and told them that Falun Gong is really good out of loyalty. Because of that, in 2000, he was taken to Laiwu Detention Center by the police. In order to resist the persecution and prove that belief is not a crime, he went on a hunger strike for about eight or nine days without food and water. He became skin and bones. When he returned home, his wife had gone back to her parents because she could no longer bear the hardship. Liu Xiaozhao thought to himself how his wife and child were implicated because of him and didn't enjoy any of the good things in life with him. No one cared if they got food to eat or not under the dictatorship of the CCP, people were not allowed to practice qigong in order to gain a healthy body. What would be the end of this kind of life? Liu Xiaozhao had never been good at expressing himself since he was young and always kept his thoughts to himself. But no one imagined that he would choose death to end the suffering.
As tragic as Mr. Liu's situation was, the CCP still tried to fabricate a case against him. While he was being treated in the hospital, either the Public Security Bureau or the official television station tried to videotape him in order to collect documentation to defame Falun Gong. Luckily, Liu Xiaozhao's family had a sense of justice, and the plot fell through. While the family was grieving, the CCP repeatedly asked them if Liu Xiaozhao died because he had practiced Falun Gong--until the family got angry.
Given what I have said above, I think it will not be hard for everyone to understand who is responsible for causing Liu Xiaozhao's death.
