(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 34 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 38 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested and Detained in Xiuyan County Detention Center in Muniu Township, Xiuyan County on May 25, 2008
2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Hu Mingxiu Arrested
On the night of May 26, 2008, Ms. Hu Mingxiu was arrested by the police. Her husband was sentenced to eight years in prison for practicing Falun Gong. At present, he is still in prison and subjected to mistreatment.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Haixia Detained in Shuangliu County Detention Center
Ms. Wang Haixia, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shuangliu County, Chengdu City, was arrested on May 19, 2008. She was detained in the Shuangliu County Detention Center. Her detention term is ending on June 2, 2008 but the police are planning to take her to a brainwashing center.
4. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Harassed Recently
Recently, police officers of Yongnian County Police Department arrested a practitioner from a local Chemical Fertilizer Plant. The security section and the local police station notified all practitioners on record to report to the security section office to be investigated and interrogated.

6. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Practitioner Ms. Qi Chunmei from Songshan District Arrested While Clarifying Facts about Falun Dafa on Morning of May 27, 2008
7. [Huarong County, Hunan Province] Practitioner Ms. Mao Liping Arrested
Under the pretext of protecting the "Olympic Games Torch," the Huarong County 610 Office, the police department, the Procuratorate, the court, and the State Security Division mobilized staff of all office levels, police officers and the local police stations to monitor all local practitioners. On May 29, 2008, police officers from Shengfeng Township Police Station found markings reading, "Falun Dafa is Good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good" on the door of practitioner Ms. Mao Liping's home. They thereupon searched the home and took her to the Huarong County Detention Center. On May 30, she was transferred to the Hubin Brainwashing Center in Yueyang City and subjected to persecution. Both Ms. Mao and her husband are disabled. They have two school-aged daughters.
8. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Police Officers from Duozhuang Town Police Station Behaved Like Criminals
From 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. on May 22 and 23, 2008, police officers from the Duozhuang Town Police Station gathered lawless thugs to break into the homes of about 20 practitioners. The thugs ransacked boxes and chests. They had police batons, rubber and wooden clubs, and a camera. Among the harassed practitioners, one female was in the shower. The thugs forced her into a car and took her to a dark corner in the yard of a town government office where they kicked and beat her with wooden and rubber batons until 2:00 a.m. the following day.
9. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested and Their Homes Searched
At 2:00 a.m. on May 26 and May 27, 2008, four practitioners from Shuanghou Town, Yinan County were arrested and their homes were searched. The practitioners include Mr. Liu Chengde, Mr. Pang Zhihua from Langli Village, Mr. Liu Naiyan, and Ms. Liu Naizhi from Suozhuang Village.

11. [Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Authorities of Tongliao City Harass Practitioners Under Pretext of Olympic Games
Since April 2008, the Municipal Committee, Political and Judiciary Committee, 610 Office, State Security Division, police department, police stations, and the Residents Committees in Tongliao City have been harassing local practitioners under the pretext of the Olympic Games, and put practitioners' names on a blacklist.
12. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Updated Report of Arrested Practitioners
Below is an updated report of practitioners arrested by police officers from Peiying Police Station and the State Security Division in Yushu City on May 22, 2008:
Mr. Fu Decai is still detained and was interrogated under torture. He is holding a hunger strike to protest the mistreatment. Ms. Cui Zhanyun was released.
Four practitioners from Yumin Township, including Ms. Wang Xufang, have been detained in the Yushu City Detention Center for more than two months.

14. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Fan Xuebin Tortured with Electrical Shocks
Mr. Fan Xuebin is detained in the No. 8 Team, No. 3 Ward, of Panjin Prison in Liaoning Province. On May 24, 2008, he was electrically shocked twice and beaten by the chief and political head of the No. 8 Team. Mr. Fan Xuebin is still unable to move.

15. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Harassed by Local Police Officers Since May 29, 2008
16. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Supplementary Information on Arrest of Mr. Wang Chaodong, Mr. Xin Hongyuan and Ms. Wei Yuhong
Mr. Wang Chaodong was forcibly taken to Fangjialan Detention Center in Shenhe Distict. Mr. Xin Hongyuan was arrested at his workplace by police officers on May 23, 2008. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Ms. Wei Yuhong was taken to Zaohua Prison, and her family was prohibited from seeing her.
17. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Lingyuan City Court Brought Practitioner Ms. Lou Caihua to Court at 9:00 a.m. on May 26, 2008
18. [Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Wang Quan of the Water Conservancy Bureau in Xingcheng City Arrested at His Workplace at 11:00 a.m. on May 29, 2008
19. [Linjiang City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Mr. Yun Zhonggang Arrested
On the morning of May 22, 2008, Mr. Yun Zhonggang was tracked by the police. He was arrested near his home by seven or eight police officers and taken to the Xinshi Police Station. Afterwards, police officers from Xinshi Police Station and the State Security Division searched his home and forcibly took his wife, also a practitioner, to the police department. After being extorted of 3,000 yuan, his wife was released. Mr. Yun remains detained in the Linjiang City Detention Center.
20. [Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province] Supplementary Information on Disappearance of Ms. Zhang Min
Ms. Zhang Min, 26, is a practitioner from Zhaodong City. During late 2002, she went to Beijing with another older practitioner from Daqing City to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and taken back by authorities from the Zhaodong City 610 Office. When her family went to the 610 Office to request her release, Ren Jiansheng (male) said that Ms. Zhang was released on the way back to her hometown. But her family never saw her. Her father suffered a serious attack after her disappearance and passed away.
21. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Guixiang's Arrest and Mistreatment
At about 8:00 a.m. on April 24, 2008, Hu Xiuming (male), director of Guangming Police Station, searched Ms. Song Guixiang's home without any lawful process. He seized her books, and took her to the police station. She was later forcibly taken to a detention center. As a result, she developed tachycardia (rapid heart rate).

22. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Supplementary Information Regarding Mistreatment and Suffering of Mr. Wang Guiming Before His Death
On February 13, 2008, practitioner Mr. Wang Guiming was arrested by police officers of Xinzhan Police Station, and sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp. On May 27, 2008, he was taken to Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. He was persecuted to death within two days. In Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua City, Director Lu Dianxi (male) and Head Sun Jiaqi (male) beat Mr. Wang, and Sun Zhongxia (male) force-fed him.
23. [Longyan City, Fujian Province] Mistreatment and Suffering of Practitioners from Changting County
From 2007 to May 28, 2008, more than 20 practitioner from Changting County have been subjected to mistreatment. Among them, one practitioner was sentenced to four years in prison, three practitioners were sentenced to a forced labor camp, and three practitioners were sentenced to administrative detention. One practitioner is under process by the Procuratorate, and the others were detained and their homes were searched on May 10, 2008, all under the pretext of protecting the Olympic Games Torch.

24. [Yantai Area, Shandong Province] Many Practitioners Arrested
Recently, many practitioners from Yantai area were arrested. Some practitioners are detained in the Yingfu Brainwashing Center, and others are detained in the Nanjiao Detention Center.
25. [Tongling City, Anhui Province] 610 Office Agents Arrested Many Practitioners Recently and Detained Them in the Wusongshan Hotel

27. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tan Guodi Arrested by Police Officers from Songshu Police Station
28. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Luwei Arrested
After Mr. Wang Luwei was arrested, he was detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Xingtai City in mid March 2008.
Several days ago, Ms. Liu Shuqiao, about 60 years old, was arrested while distributing Falun Dafa materials. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
29. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Cao Xuejue, Staff Member of the Huanghe Building, Taken from His Workplace to a Brainwashing Center on May 28, 2008
30. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Guan Dicai and Ms. Yi Zhimei Arrested
On May 12, 2008, Mr. Guan Dicai, a retired worker from the Jiayang Coal Mine, was arrested at his home by police officers from Mata Police Station. He is currently detained in Jingyan County Detention Center.
On the morning of May 23, 2008, Ms. Yi Zhimei from Wutongqiao District, Leshan City, distributed materials and clarified the facts about Falun Dafa in the plant office. She was reported to the police and taken away in a police car. Detailed information is not available.
31. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
At about 1:00 p.m. on May 27, 2008, Mr. Liu Xiuzhi and Ms. Liu Fengrong, practitioners of Tongzhanli Village, Wangchang Township, Zaoqiang County, Hengshui City, were arrested by police officers of Hengshui City Police Department. Their homes were searched, and an amplifier, two satellite antennas, and a TV were seized.
At about 8:00 p.m. on May 28, 2008, Mr. Liu Jiancun, husband of practitioner Ms. Zheng Aimin, was taken to the Hengshui City Police Department, where he was interrogated for the entire night. He was released at about 10:00 a.m. the next day. Ms. Zheng was taken to the No. 1 Team of the Hengshui City Police Department. Her satellite antenna was also seized.
32. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Xiaodong Arrested
Mr. Wang Xiaodong is a practitioner in Shaojiaqiao Village, Shigezhuang Town, Fengrun District, Tangshan City. At about 10:00 a.m. on May 28, 2008, when he was working in the field, he was arrested by police officers from Shigezhuangn Town and the 610 Office. On May 22, 2008, he was clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa in Tangshan City Airport. He was possibly tracked by two plainclothes officers and finally arrested.
Mr. Jia Yuanfeng from Fengrun District was arrested on April 28, 2008. Afterwards, Ms. Jin Shuxia, Ms. Chen Lijuan, Mr. Niu Jiming and Ms. Sun Xiuyun were reported to the police and arrested for distributing materials about Falun Dafa. Within one month, six practitioners were arrested.
33. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jia Qingshu Arrested
At about 9:00 a.m. on May 24, 2008, Mr. Jia Qingshu was arrested by police officers from the State Security Division in Dongling District while on his way to the workplace. At about 10:00 a.m., police officers from Dongling Police Station opened the door with a key. Mr. Jia Qingshu's home was searched and he was seized. A computer, two printers and other property worth about 10,000 yuan was seized.
34. [Liaoning Province] Supplementary Information About the Suffering and Mistreatment of Mr. Zhao Yu in Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Zhao Yu was born in 1975. He is an engineer. On the morning of February, 25, 2008, he was arrested on his way to Shenyang City. He was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp, and taken to Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp. He was placed in an small isolated cell and his family was prohibited from seeing him.
Mr. Zhao appealed for this sentence. His case will be brought to court at 1:30 p.m. on June 3, 2008.
35. [Leihe City, Henan Province] Arrest of Ms. An Meizhi
At about 1:00 p.m. on May 22, 2008, Li Yunshe (male), director of Comprehensive Administration Office in Ganhechen Township, Leihe City, and police officers of Leihe City 610 Office and the police department broke into Ms. An Meizhi's home in Yanzhuang Village. They seized Dafa books and CDs. Ms. An was arrested. Her husband was paralyzed and left unattended. She is currently detained in the Leihe City Detention Center.

36. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Arrest of Ms. Hu Mingxiu
On the afternoon of May 27, 2008, soon after Ms. Hu Mingxiu returned home, she was arrested by four thugs. She has a son who is unable to care for himself. He was left at home unattended. Her husband has been detained in Fanjiatai Prison for nearly seven years for practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Hu is the sole caretaker of the family.
