(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts staged its final performance of the Chinese Spectacular in Europe on the evening of April 19, 2008, at Munich's Prince Regent Theater. Among spectators of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds were many from arts circles who gave the Spectacular high praise.

Ballet School Owner: Everything Is Perfect

Barbara Zapf-Dorn, owner of a ballet school in Nuremberg, commented after seeing the show, "From the dancing to the music, from the singing to the lighting and the stage backdrops, everything was perfect."

Zapf-Dorn was a solo dancer at the state theater in Stuttgart. She commented on the performance from a professional point of view, "The performance was excellent. The precision was impressive as well as the intensity with which the performers danced. It was, all things considered, a great masterpiece."

She was especially impressed by the "Mongolian Bowl Dance." She said, "The choreography with so many dancers impressed me. I have seen many performances, including international shows, but the interpretation here was something new for me and very interesting. The new thing was the special movements of the Chinese dance with the arms and the walking, without moving the upper body."

Director of a Ballet School: The choreography is good, dynamic, very soft and very fluid

Anita Haas, a retired dancer who directs a ballet school in Ingolstadt, north of Munich, was highly impressed. She said that she saw the advertisements for the Spectacular not long ago, and the colorful costumes caught her attention instantly, so she decided to see it.

Ms. Haas said that she liked the gentle movements and the flowing motions in the dances. She was particularly impressed by the dance "Nymphs of the Sea," which used silk to represent water ripples. She had never before seen such a technique and found it very beautiful. She said that the beautiful lines and gentle movements reminded her of the famous ballets "Swan Lake" and "The Nutcracker."

Ms. Haas praised the seamless coordination between soloists and group dancers. She said, "Generally viewed, the soloists are doing a fine job, but the ballet corps are a dynamic whole. The soloists always seemed to find their place in the whole, just as in Western choreography. The stars portray their solo parts but then again integrate into the whole." She concluded, "It is remarkable that the audience is presented with the essence of the theme in such a brief time span."

Taiwanese Choreographer: Dancers have advanced skills; their smiles are heartfelt

Ms. Wang Chiang-mei from Taiwan, who lives in Germany, is a dancer and choreographer. She works as a choreographer and dance instructor with many dance troupes in Germany and Switzerland. She attended the Chinese Spectacular and praised the dancers for their advanced skills. More important to her was that "their smiles were truly heartfelt, and they were dedicated to the performance." She said that she was moved from the beginning to the end of the show.
