(Clearwisdom.net) The Truth-Compassion-Tolerance Art Exhibition was held at the University of Victoria on Tuesday & Wednesday, March 18th & 19th, 2008 from 10 am to 7 pm.

During the two-day event, many students went through the display one by one or few at a time. There was a steady flow that allowed people to really take in the message of the artwork.

Included in the display was a Lunyu Lantern where visitors could read Lunyu in Chinese and in English. Some students took a chair in order to read the text at the bottom of the column.

Viewing the exhibition, visitors were very appreciative of the opportunity to see the art display in Victoria.

While nearly all of the visitors were aware of the persecution, some expressed surprise and shock at the extent of it and the length of time it has been perpetuated. The artwork evoked a range of emotions and clearly the visitors interviewed were very supportive of the artists' expressions of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance. Several visitors expressed a desire for the exhibition to have been held longer so they could let family members know about it.

At the end of the tour, there was an information table about the Global Human Rights Torch Relay where people were happy to sign the Million Signature petition. This petition asks the Canadian government to Support the Global Effort to Stop the Beijing Persecution of Falun Gong before the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Before leaving, many students were offered a handmade lotus flower. Some said this gesture was the nicest thing that had happened to them that day.
