Korean Cartoonist: Body and Mind Purified (Photo)

March 27, 2008 |

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Kim Ki-Sun, a cartoonist, saw the Chinese Spectacular presented by Divine Performing Arts in Daegu, Korea on March 24, 2008. She said after the show that it had left her feeling serene, pure, and calm.

Ms. Kim admired the meaningful content of the Spectacular and the techniques the artists used to express that content. She was most impressed by "Nymphs of the Sea" and "The Power of Awareness." She thought the latter helped people know that the Chinese Communist Party is continuing its persecution of Falun Gong. She didn't regard the show as being about Falun Gong but as manifesting the importance of "being one's true self."

She said that Koreans like Mongolian dances and music, but it isn't easy for them to have much contact with Mongolian culture. The chopstick dance and the bowl dance presented their culture very well. "People don't normally think of Mongolian dance when talking about Chinese culture. I saw the purity and goodness in Mongolian dance today and hope their culture continues to spread," said Ms. Kim.

"I feel as if my body and soul have been being purified. Next time I will bring my mother and I will recommend the show to my friends."
