Fei Tian Academy of the Arts announced today that it seeks performers for the formation of a Fei Tian Academy Orchestra. Those wishing to be considered must apply, and should note the following specifications:

Deputy-magistrate of Pingtung County: Divine Performing Arts worth being spread still further
Deputy-magistrate of Pingtung County Chung Chia-bin attended the Divine Performing Arts performance last year in Kaohsiung, and brought his seven-year-old son to the fifth show of the Chinese Spectacular on March 8 this year at the Kaohsiung County Labor Recreation Center. Mr. Chung thought the Divine Performing Arts performance was even more wonderful, and conducive to educating peoples' hearts and uplifting culture.

After seeing the show, Mr. Chung said in an interview that the exquisite culture that the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular presented was worth promoting and spreading still further. He found every performance to be excellent, particularly the Mongolian dance "Chopstick Zest," which brought the masculine strength into full play.
What impressed him the most was seeing the young performers perform wholeheartedly, with great dedication. He was also amazed at vocalist Hong Ming's singing. He said that listening to his singing made him feel lofty and energetic.
Mr. Chung believes it is helpful for children's growth to attend such a top-class performance.
College Director's Secretary: Divine Performing Arts should be carried on and take root in [young generations]
Lin Chun-ying, secretary of the director at the National Kaohsiung Hospitality College, attended the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular with her eldest son, who had just returned from abroad with the tickets presented by the president of her college, who had planned to come but had to cancel. Ms. Lin said the cultural performance carried so much profound meaning that was beyond her expectations. She thought the show would be like ordinary dance performances, which were not so educational.

Ms. Lin said, "I thought the show was really fantastic! Actually some grass-roots education teachers should come to see it. I think the show can really open up pupils, high school students, because we are lacking in education on traditional culture."

The story of Yue Fei is well-known among people. Ms. Lin said children must have read about this story, but she did not know if the story was included in present text books. Director of Art and Culture Center: Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular is a grand performance carrying cultural connotations, and should be presented quite often
Shie Chi-liang, director of Ci-En Art and Culture Center in Kaohsiung, brought his wife Lin Chin-ying, who is also a painter, and their youngest daughter to attend the finale performance of the Chinese Spectacular in Kaohsiung. They are accomplished artists and have held several painting exhibitions. They shared their impression of the Divine Performing Arts.

Ms. Lin is an art teacher, and learned folk dance when she was young. She also studied dance from veteran dancer Liu Feng-hsue during her time at the university, so she is a keen observer of artistic performance. Ms. Lin was especially fond of several ethnic folk dances in the Chinese Spectacular, including, "Snowy Mountain, White Lotus," which expresses the Tibetan young ladies' purity and liveliness, "Chopstick Zest," which expresses young Mongolian men's bold and unconstrained characters and free spirit, and "Ladies of the Manchu Court," which presents the ladies' slow but gentle movements. Each dance has its own flavor and characteristics, coupled with costume design, and use of color, which presents a dynamic and pleasant picture to the viewer.
Ms. Lin thought the choreography was very well thought out, and that there was an orderly arrangement in terms of regions and times, guiding the audience to travel through time and space from the Han nationality in the central plains to the Mongolian and Tibetan nationalities at the frontier, from ancient myths and legends to the great Tang Dynasty, Song and Qing dynasties. It presented the spirit of preserving differences in the Chinese culture by such an art form. Ms. Lin felt the two-hour Chinese Spectacular presentation was a very beautiful feast for the soul. After seeing the show, she found herself to be in high spirits.
Mr. Shie Chi-liang is director of the Ci-En Art and Culture Center in Kaohsiung City. He is also a member of several Painting Associations and promoter of the Civil Art Gallery in Kaohsiung City.
Mr. Shie was taken aback by the opening scene of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular, the Buddha's paradise veiled in mist suddenly gave him an impression of being out of this world. The momentum of the entire scene and the costume colors were also impressive. The couple were also both amazed by the tenor's singing.
What Mr. Shie liked the most were the two drum performances, which were full of masculine strength. The dance "Drummers of the Tang Court" was powerful, expressing the Chinese people's incredible perseverance. The finale, "Resounding Drums" raised the audience's emotions to a peak, and then suddenly stopped, leaving an impression of being simply not enough.
Mr. Shie said that the two-hour show was a purification of the soul, and that he had learned many things, and felt it very worthwhile. He said this large-scale performance containing cultural connotations presented by the Divine Performing Arts is rarely seen in Kaohsiung. He feels it should be held quite often and would be helpful for cultural uplifting in the southern area.
At the show's conclusion, Shie Meng-san, who is a fifth grade student at an elementary school, walked out of the theater with her parents. Her father praised her for watching all performances attentively. She commented that the performers had solid basic fundamentals, the costumes were beautiful, and the performance was lively and appealing to her. Her favorites were the dance dramas such as "The Loyalty of Yue Fei," because they had historical background and were easy to understand.
Manager of an Electronics Company: The lyrics have profound meaning
Mr. Lee Ming-che, manager of the Department of Measurement at the Kaohsiung Hitachi Electronics Co. Ltd. attended the Chinese Spectacular and said he liked the dance "The Loyalty of Yue Fei" the most. He thought it was rare and impressive to have such a performance that can uplift morality in today's society. He said that not many people in this chaotic society vow to serve their country, and the young people in particular, who know little about the definition of the country, should come to see the show.

Journalist Who Likes Chinese Culture Appreciates Seeing Chinese Culture That Cannot Be Seen in China
Andreas is a journalist in a news agency. He and his wife attended the Chinese Spectacular show on March 7. He told the reporter during the intermission, "I liked the show, generally speaking, even though I'm not fond of dancing, I do not go to dance performance in Austria, but today, I'm very satisfied. I especially liked the dance with the long sleeves. ("Snowy Mountain, White Lotus") I liked their movements."
He said that he liked reading reports on China, and had been there several times, but what he had seen in China was different from what he saw here in this show. The Performance is Soul-stirring

Therapist Mr. Gerry Stiegner attended the Chinese Spectacular and said, "This is an enjoyable show. The colors were pleasant and lively." He said he thought the show would be similar to the Chinese acrobatic troupe performances he had seen before, but was pleasantly surprised to find that this show was different. He was deeply enthralled by the (Divine Performing Arts') performance. He said the costumes and backdrop colors, dances, songs, Chinese tradition, and meaning of the lyrics on the backdrop screen, were fascinating.
Mr. Stiegner thought the backdrop during the performance of "Forsythia in Spring" was the best, that the colors were very pleasing, lively and bright.
Ms. Verena Genn said, "I liked the whole performance. The colors were brilliant and dazzling, leaving people a pleasant impression." She also liked the "Mongolian Bowl Dance" the most, as it was very beautiful and elegant. The dance "Nymphs of the Sea" was her other favorite. She said the performance where a little girl holds a banner reading "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" ("The Power of Awareness"), used dance to convey the persecution, and the body language in the dance was very expressive and explicit, making her feel as if she were experiencing it personally.
Ms. Genn said she liked the dances with supporting stories, such as the performance where the birds flew up to the sky and changed into suns ("Lady of the Moon"), she said, "It was just like putting a fairy tale into the dance, the traditional Chinese culture (behind the performance) was comprehensible to me. I found it to be very, very good."
Ms. Dani Stiegner said that the hosts were great. Prior to each performance, they gave a brief introduction that was very helpful. She said she would not have understood many things without their explanations.

Ms. Chen said she was touched to tears by the show last year, and this year, she could not stop her tears again, although she tried.

Ms. Wu's daughter could not help expressing her feelings about the show. She very happily said, "I feel the shooting of the suns (referring to Hou Yi shooting down the nine suns) was very impressive. She said she previously misunderstood the making of traditional Chinese clothing. But after seeing the Spectacular in Kaohsiung, she said the show helped her understand the real uniqueness and special elements of Han clothing. She said that the show truly presented the beauty of traditional Chinese clothing.
Ms. Liu hopes to help people understand the beauty of traditional Chinese clothing through dance. When moving during the dances, the clothes look different than when they are displayed statically. "It's a different kind of experience," she said, "The dances in the show truly presented the beauty of traditional Chinese clothing."

Ms. Liu said that the dances demonstrated the beauty of human nature, and this was what she found to be the most special feature about the dances in the show, "In other shows, dances are just dances. However, the Divine Performing Arts blends morality into the dances and teaches people to rethink many things. We have been numb for so long. This show brings out the good nature of humankind."
Ms. Liu continued, "The show is all about Chinese culture, including that of the minorities. Everyone likes different things and this show encompasses so much, that everyone is sure to see something they like. Now, I don't have to travel to faraway places because the Chinese Spectacular had shown me many cultures in just a few hours."
Ms. Liu most enjoyed the dance "Water Sleeves." "I have read about [this technique] in books but have rarely seen it live. It's so exciting to see Han clothing onstage." Then she added with a smile, "The drummers have become my idols. I really admire and respect them!"
(Clearwisdom.net) Even though the show was sold out, bank financial specialist Ms. Cai luckily obtained a ticket to the Chinese Spectacular from her boss. "My boss recommended the show to me, but it was sold out when I went to buy a ticket. I am so lucky to be here."

Talking about the show, she said, "I liked every number! The integration of classical Chinese dance and Chinese instruments with ancient legends is very unique. I have seen some shows in China, but they have no stories behind them, and the costumes were not as detailed as these."
When asked which performance she liked best, she said, "'Lady of the Moon' and 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei' were very impressive. In addition, the soprano's voice was very moving and powerful."

(Clearwisdom.net) NEW YORK – Chinese security agencies have been conducting large-scale arrests of Falun Gong adherents throughout China in recent months as authorities step up efforts to "stamp out" the practice in advance of the Olympic Games, in August, the Falun Dafa Information Center reported today.
In recent weeks, the Center has been receiving regular reports from adherents and their families inside China of door-to-door searches and arrests. According to statistics compiled from these reports, there have been 1,878 arrests across 29 provinces, major cities, and autonomous regions since January 1 of this year. In Beijing alone, 156 arrests are known to have taken place.
The Center released today a list of names and details of 67 representative cases of individuals detained in Beijing since December 2007 (list). Out of this group, 16 adherents were arrested from Chaoyang District, which is set to host the beach volleyball and tennis events, and 10 from Shunyi district, the site of the Olympic rowing and kayaking venues.
"The International community had hoped that awarding the Olympics to China would spur an improvement in human rights," said Information Center representative Mr. Erping Zhang. "But the facts on the ground tell a very different story. The Olympics seem to have given the Beijing regime a new incentive, and excuse, to hasten its abuses of citizens' rights. The arrests make a mockery of the regime's promise to improve its dismal record on human rights. It is now imperative that the international community speak up, leverage real pressure, and stop these deplorable actions."
Door-to-door Arrests
According to the reports, many of the arrests follow a common pattern, whereby officers from the local police station or Public Security Bureau (PSB) branch come to the adherent's home or workplace, conduct a search for any Falun Gong-related materials, and take the individual into custody at the district detention center. In some cases, family members or co-workers who do not practice Falun Gong have been taken into custody as well.
The systematic nature of the arrests suggests that authorities are using a previously compiled list of local adherents – a common practice of the PSB. According to former PSB and 610 Office agent Hao Fengjun, who currently resides in Australia, authorities in the city of Tianjin, where Hao formerly worked, had a database of 30,000 Falun Gong practitioners' names.
Rewards for Identifying Falun Gong Adherents
In many cities a reward system has been put in place offering 500-3,000 yuan (roughly USD $60-$360) for identifying Falun Gong adherents to the authorities. In Zibo city (Shandong province), for example, announcements were posted in neighborhood administration offices offering 2,000-3,000 yuan for information leading to the arrest of a Falun Gong adherent. Other offices reportedly offered 500-2,000 yuan for identifying a Falun Gong adherent seen distributing informational leaflets.
While such reward mechanisms are not new, their use in connection with the Olympics is. Websites run by the PSB and other government agencies have, for the past several years, openly posted notices calling on citizens to turn in Falun Gong adherents; rewards have ranged up to 5,000 yuan. As another example, in an October 8, 2007, USA Today article, a taxi driver named Liu Chunfa was quoted as saying, "I have attended several meetings with police lecturers. They told us if we report suspicious people, like believers in Falun Gong, we could get a 2,000-yuan ($250) reward."
The Center has received word of several detained Beijing adherents having been sentenced to "re-education through labor" camp terms without trial, and fears others are at grave risk of wrongful sentencing. Any likely sentences will extend beyond the closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games, if not for years. Chinese law allows for sentences of up to three years without so much as a court hearing.
The Center is demanding the immediate release of all Falun Gong adherents, and calling upon foreign media stationed in and around Beijing to investigate these arrests.
Earlier Reports – Beijing Olympics Fueling the Persecution of Falun Gong
A Feb. 21, 2001, Reuters report revealed that the campaign against Falun Gong had escalated as China entered the final stages of bidding for the 2008 Olympics. The report cited the state-run Xinhua propaganda outlet as saying the government had given "citations" to 110 organizations and 271 individuals "for anti-Falun Gong work" and to "wipe out Falun Gong."
A July 17, 2001, report from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, meanwhile, disclosed that after Beijing landed the 2008 Olympics, China's then Vice Premier declared that winning the Olympics was "justification for the country's crackdown on the Falun Gong."
In 2005, an intelligence journal, Intelligence Online, revealed that China's deputy public security minister, Liu Jing, had been assigned the responsibility of wiping out Falun Gong before the Games. (news)
According to Amnesty International, in preparing for the Games, Former Public Security Minister Zhou Yongkang issued the following order in the context of "successfully" holding the Beijing Olympic Games: "We must strike hard at hostile forces at home and abroad, such as ethnic separatists, religious extremists, violent terrorists and … the Falun Gong."

Background
Founded in 1999, the Falun Dafa Information Center is a New York-based organization that documents the rights violations of adherents of Falun Gong (or "Falun Dafa") taking place in the People's Republic of China. In July of 1999 China's autocratic Communist Party launched an unlawful campaign of arrests, violence, and propaganda with the intent of "eradicating" the apolitical practice; it is believed certain leaders feared the influence of the practice's 100 million adherents. According to the latest news, there occurred a series of incidents of illegal searching, ransacking homes and arresting Falun Gong practitioners in various provinces and cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Liaoning Province, Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province, Sichuan Province, Chongqing, Qingdao, and Jinzhou. According to an incomplete estimation, from the end of last year to early this year, more than 100 practitioners in Beijing have been arrested, while the actual number exceeds this. Moreover, some Falun Gong practitioners' family members and colleagues were implicated, arrested and detained. Cases of being tortured to disability and even tortured to death frequently occurred in all areas.
The CCP Pushes Many Groups to Unseen Places to "Prepare for the Olympics"
Dr. Qu Zheng, an engineer in the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA, listed numerous facts proving that the CCP's hosting of the Olympics is designed to serve itself, but not present the Olympic spirit of peace. Countless people have been made to suffer so that the CCP can host the Olympic Games.
Qu Zheng revealed that migrant workers who took part in building stadiums for the Olympic Games are deterred from enjoying the Games because they do not have special entry passes to Beijing. The local government forcibly closed schools they built for their children. Farmers in Hebei Province had their 50 million acres of land hit by drought, but they have to transfer water to Beijing to meet the water demand of the Olympics. The CCP wantonly arrest members of house churches and appellants in the name of ensuring security for the Olympics.
According to Reporters Without Borders, several dozen journalists, writers and lawyers have been imprisoned because of the Olympic Games. A certain hospital refused to transfuse blood for a sick university student in order to ensure the blood supply for the Olympic Games. Dr. Qu pointed out that the CCP's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners has been exposed for several years, yet the CCP does not show any signs of repentance. He said, "All these people have been made to suffer in the name of the Olympics; it's really a shame for the Olympics."
The CCP regime cannot represent China
Dr. Wu Yingnian, professor of the University of California- Los Angeles branch, and representative of the Falun Gong practitioners in Los Angeles, made a speech at the rally and revealed that the CCP's promise of improving its human rights is nothing but empty talk. At present, a large number of Falun Gong practitioners are still being detained in forced labor camps and prisons where they are subjected to torture and slave labor. Right now, the CCP is using the Olympics as an excuse to intensify the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
It was reported that ten cases of Falun Gong practitioners being tortured to death have been verified in February. Three of them died between August and December 2007 and seven of them died in February this year.
Mr. Wu pointed out that the CCP has been taking "separating sports and politics in the Olympics" as an "excuse" to evade condemnation of its human rights abuses, but the CCP itself has been connecting the Olympics with politics. It uses the Olympics to intensify its persecution of Falun Gong and dissidents, which shows that it is the most shameless autocratic regime. He said that he hopes the international community will not be deluded by the lie of "separating sports and politics in the Olympics."
Mr. Wu continued, "We are not against holding and watching the Olympics in China, but the CCP regime is not eligible to host the Olympics. Since the CCP seized power, it has killed 80 million innocent Chinese people--how can such an evil regime represent the Chinese nation? In the past decade, it has been brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. How can such a regime be qualified to represent China, how can it host the Olympics? I hope Chinese people inside and outside China condemn the CCP's human rights violation, and stop its atrocities."
Mother Arrested because of the Olympics--Calling on the International Community to Help
Local Falun Gong practitioner Liu Yaning made a speech at the rally. Her mother, Li Shuying, has been arrested twice in Beijing, and is being detained at Beijing Forced Labor Camp. In December 2006, her 64-year-old mother was arrested from home and later sentenced to two and a half years of forced labor. Liu Yaning said that her mother's arrest is connected with the CCP's 2008 Olympics, because the CCP attempts to silence all dissidents.
Ms. Liu's mother was an outstanding teacher before retirement. She loved and took good care of her students, who loved her, too. She was sentenced to three years of imprisonment from 2000 to 2003 for practicing Falun Gong. During these periods, she was humiliated and forced to do slave labor. After her release, the police still harassed and monitored her from time to time. She is now being detained in a forced labor camp.
Ms. Liu called on people to help rescue her mother and other Falun Gong practitioners who are persecuted because of the Olympics.
Calling on the whole world to help stop the CCP's human rights abuse
Falun Gong practitioner Albert Roman in Los Angeles called upon the world's human rights organizations and people to work together to stop the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.
Mr. Roman stated that to date, 3137 Falun Gong practitioners are verified to have died as a result of the persecution. The actual number is far above this. At the same time, many sources of evidence have verified that the CCP harvests organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
He said that the next five months before the Olympics begin are an opportunity to urge the CCP to stop its persecution of Chinese people. He appealed that it is time for the world's media and organizations to expose the current situation of China's human rights, and it is time for the world's people to work together to condemn the CCP's persecution of Chinese people.
Demanding an immediate release of Falun Gong practitioners
Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP-Los Angeles branch representative Ms. Helen Li released a statement at the rally, demanding that the CCP immediately release Falun Gong practitioners Wang Chunyan in Dalian City and Wang Lan in Yunnan Province and other practitioners who were illegally arrested for printing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and helping Chinese people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The statement also demanded a return of confiscated belongings and compensation for all losses.
Ms. Li also revealed that the number of people who announce their withdrawals from the CCP and its affiliated organizations increases substantially on a daily basis, the CCP recently takes "ensuring the security of the Olympics" as an "excuse" and illegally arrests and detains Falun Gong practitioners, while the real reason for its desperate actions is that it fears that Falun Gong practitioners will expose its evil nature, and hasten its inevitable demise.

This was the 11th annual St. Patrick's Day parade in White Plains. The city police department, council members, government officials, firemen and students participated. Falun Gong practitioners performed "dragon and lion dances," and waist drums. They carried banners that read "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," which brought smiles and cheers from the crowds.
Mr. Joseph Delfino, the mayor of White Plains, welcomed each group. John Martin, the organizer of the parade, said he was delighted to have a group representing Chinese culture in the parade.

Both parades started at 2:00 p.m. and lasted for two hours. The Falun Gong procession was the only Chinese group in both parades. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises, and performed the traditional Chinese fairy dance and waist drums. They were warmly welcomed by the audience. Some people shouted "Falun Dafa," when they saw the practitioners' banners.
Some people asked what Falun Dafa is. The practitioners told them it is an ancient Chinese cultivation practice, and is practiced in more than 70 countries. Some people heard about it and knew about the persecution in China. They offered their best wishes to the practitioners.
(Clearwisdom.net) At 10:00 a.m. on March 6, 2008, police officers from the criminal division of Dehui City Police Department, together with people from the Changchun City Police Department, arrested two practitioners in Dehui City. Local police officer Lin Yingqi led the those police officers to the Chalukou Town No. Eight Middle School. These persecutors arrested Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Chen Xuedong and Geng Jisheng, both of whom are teachers at the school. From there, the police went to Chen Xuedong's house and ransacked it. They confiscated a computer, a printer, a color inkjet printer and some other personal belongings. They also beat Chen in his own home. According to a source, Chen Xuedong was sent to Changchun City for further persecution.
At 3:30 p.m. on March 6, 2008, Dehui City and Xiajiadian Police Station officers arrested practitioners Lu Shufeng, Sun Fei, Meng Lingli and Mr. Xia from Xiajiadian Town. Practitioner Gao Hui from Dehui City was also arrested on March 6.
From February 27, 2008, Dehui police have arrested more than 30 practitioners. The police also harassed practitioners from several townships, including those in Dehui, Yanshu, Wutai, Dafangshen, Biangang, Chaoyang, Chalukou and Xiajiadian.
The CCP regime has apparently ordered mass arrests prior to the Olympic Games.

(Clearwisdom.net) The family of Mr. Zhou Xiaobo, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Ruian City, Zhejiang Province, are innocent people who have been persecuted by the local 610 Office under the Chinese Communist Party. The persecution has torn this family apart. Nonetheless, the 610 Office has blamed Falun Dafa for the tragedy, attempting to cover its crimes by using propaganda to deceive the local people.
Mr. Zhou Xiaobo was a doctor at Tangxia Town Hospital, in Ruian City, Zhejiang Province. One day, he went to visit a fellow villager at his home and was caught by a street camera. On November 7, 2007, he was illegally arrested by an agent from the local 610 Office of the Public Security Bureau. His family has not seen him since. Mr. Zhou was on his way to pick up his father's prescription drugs when he was arrested by the police. Shortly after, his home was ransacked and a large amount of valuables were stolen.
Mr. Zhou helped take care of his family business since his father was diagnosed with cancer. After he was arrested, the business was forced to close down. The Zhou family had originally borrowed hundreds of thousands of yuan from the bank by mortgaging their house. Facing bankruptcy of their business and the hundreds of thousands of yuan being spent for treating the father's illness, the house is on the verge of being repossessed by the bank. The family is now in a desperate situation.
The arrest of Mr. Zhou has affected his father emotionally and his health has deteriorated. Since January 2008, he declined treatment by the hospital and has gone home. Enduring great pain, he misses his son and hopes that he can see him one last time before he passes away. Even though the family is in such a terrible situation, the 610 Office has made secret plans to sentence Mr. Zhou and several other practitioners.
Mr. Zhou's mother gets nauseous when she thinks about her son being in detention, and she has become despondent. Mr. Zhou's grandmother is an older woman in poor health. Greatly hurt by her grandson's arrest, she can't utter a word and is on the brink of death.
The police arrested two other practitioners at the same time as Zhou Xiaobo. One of them has the name Afei, and is a male practitioner from Mayu Town, and the other one is a female practitioner whose name is unknown. The local 610 Office has coerced, intimidated, and deceived Xiaoqin, Afei's sickly wife, to testify against Mr. Zhou, and they promised the release of her husband if she agreed to their terms. In fact, the 610 Office already had plans to sentence both Mr. Zhou and Afei.
This tragedy has been directly caused by Huang Jinliang, the director of the 610 Office. It was revealed by someone with inside information that when the family members of the practitioners went to the Public Security Bureau to demand the release of their relatives, the 610 Officers were very fearful and tried to shirk their responsibilities. They tried to hide the list which had the names of all the 610 Office staff and their respective departments and posts. There was no signature on the arrest warrant. They spoke in an inconsistent manner and threatened the family members, ordering them not to expose their actions to the outside world.

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 21, 2008, Ms. Xu Guilan from Fujia Town, Zhangdian District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, was arrested. She was soon locked up in the Zibo City Detention Center. Later, many other practitioners from Fujia Town and practitioner Di Mouchen from Zhenmazhuang Village, Nanding Town, Zhangdian District, were arrested and locked up in the same detention center. During this time, Dr. Mo Chaojian, a practitioner from the Third People's Hospital went missing. It was later confirmed that agents from the 610 Office and the Zhangdian District Domestic Security Brigade took him away.
Guards and prisoners (non-practitioners) in the Zibo Detention Center poured cold water on Xu and Di during the cold winter days. This is a common way of torturing practitioners. According to a practitioner who used to be locked up at the Zibo Detention Center, the guards used electric batons many times to shock Di and burned a large hole on his leg that took a long time to heal. Di's wife went to the Zhangdian District Domestic Security Brigade many times to ask the police to release him. The captain either threatened her or used the excuse that he may lose his job if he released Di.
Dr. Mo worked in Zibo City, and his family, who lived in southern China, didn't know that he had been arrested.
On February 18, 2008, the police arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Xun, a retired senior engineer from the research institute of the Xinhua Pharmaceutical Company in Shandong, and a senior practitioner. They were arrested for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Liu is now locked up in the Zibo City 610 Office brainwashing center. The police released the senior practitioner after extorting money from that person.
After she started practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Liu took care of her son, who had schizophrenia after she divorced her husband. She had written to the mayor of Zibo City many times to clarify the facts about Falun Gong after the persecution started. She was put in a brainwashing center for three months. After she was released, the authorities continued to harass her. Liu's arrest this time forced her to leave her son behind, which is unfortunate, as he is unable to take care of himself and is alone at home.
The authorities often try to destroy Falun Gong practitioners financially. Several practitioners from Fujia Town were released after paying a large amount as a "fine." Their families had to pay the money or the practitioners would be taken to forced labor camps. Ms. Xu and her family refused to pay the fine and she is currently still detained.
The Beijing 2008 Olympics is a second chance given by international society to China's regime. A chance for the regime to improve its human rights record. Instead of doing that, the communist regime in Beijing has intensified its persecution of Falun Gong and other dissidents while trying to cover the crimes. In a very short time, in one district, nearly a dozen people were arrested. We hope that international society will pay close attention to the ongoing persecution against Falun Gong in China.
(Clearwisdom.net) In October, 1999, Ms. Jiao Shufang and a fellow practitioner from Sihe Town, Yushu City, Jilin Province, went to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. In Tiananmen Square, they were detained by police, who called the Changchun Agency that later forcibly transported them back to Yushu.
The police tried to force Ms. Jiao to write a statement promising to give up the practice, but she did not cooperate. Her children were afraid of their mother being sent to a forced labor camp, so they paid around 8,000 yuan to the Security Department at the Yushu Police Station. At the time, Chen Xingguo was chief of the Security Department.
Ms. Jiao's television and washing machine were taken away by the police from the Sihe Police Station, and her 76 year-old mother-in-law had to pay 1,000 yuan to redeem them. Fearing the police would come to their home to harass them again, and unable to bear the tremendous pressure, the elder mother-in-law committed suicide.
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liang Lijun, from "Shangsifang Little Area," Sifang District of Qingdao City, was illegally arrested on February 1, 2008.
Mr. Liang is 47 years old. On the morning of February 1, the resident committee of the Shangsifang Little Area led Public Security plainclothes police to Mr. Liang's home to confiscate his family's property. They stole pictures of Mr. Li Hongzhi, Dafa materials, truth-clarification materials, a computer, a printer and more.
Mr. Liang's relatives recently inquired about him at a nearby local police station, but the police there claimed they didn't know where he was being held.

Mr. Gao Yuling from Chaoyang City was so severely injured that he was taken to the Shenyang Medical University's No.2 Affiliated Hospital for a emergency treatment. Because he was not sent to the local hospital, the labor camp's hospital, we have no idea how brutally Mr. Gao was beaten.

Personnel from the Shahe Town Government and from the town's police station drove around in a bus in December 2007 and broadcast an announcement that said they would reward people who reported Falun Gong practitioners. They also distributed the notice to every booth in the Shahe Market.
Ms. Qu Weilan from Xideng Village, Shahe Town, was reported to police in Xiheya Village the afternoon of December 26, 2007.
Officers from the town's police station harassed practitioners and ransacked several practitioners' homes on December 26 and 27, 2007.
Police arrested Ms. Yu Xinglan, Ms. Han Zhengui, and Ms. Xu Peili from Beisunjia Village, Tushan Town, at 8:00 p.m. on December 28, 2007. They ransacked Ms. Yu's home in the absence of her family. Ms. Yu's husband lives in exile, and her two children were in school.

Personnel from the county's police department arrested Ms. Xu Xiaohua on December 15, 2007, and sentenced her to one and a half years of forced labor. Ms. Xu was held in Wanzhou Forced Labor Camp for ten days and then transferred to Xishanping Forced Labor Camp on January 14, 2008. She has not yet been released.
Ms. Gui Hongcui was reported for using bills to clarify the truth on February 15, 2008. Personnel from the Chengkou County Police Station arrested her and put her in the county's detention center.

Personnel from the Gangtun Police Station arrested Ms. Yang Hong and Mr. Zhao Liang on February 24, 2008. Mr. Zhao is presently being held at the police station. Police confiscated two ink-inject printers, a laser printer, a laptop computer, and a cell phone.
Police ransacked the home of Mr. Huang Lizhong and his parents and arrested him the night of February 24, 2008.
Regime personnel tried to arrest 30-year-old Mr. Wang from Suizhong County at 5:00 a.m. on February 25, 2008. Those responsible were from the Huludao City Police Department, from the Huludao City Fire Department, from the Xingcheng City Police Department, from the Xingcheng City 610 Office, and from the Xingcheng City Wenquan Police Station. Mr. Wang stood on the fourth floor balcony of a building, which police surrounded. Several police cars and a fire engine were parked near the building. Five hours passed before the news was reported.

He is presently being held at the No.1 Detention Center in the city.

At 9:30 p.m. on February 18, 2008, the police from Sanlipeng Police Station of Xiaogan City Police Department arrested three practitioners including Ms. Yang Yongping. They are being detained at the Xiaogan City Detention Center. Ms. Yang's relatives have had 500 yuan extorted from them by the prison guards. The police attempted to extort 3,000 yuan from Mr. Yang's family in 15 days.

Ms. Zhao Tianxiu's forced labor term in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City expired on January 10, 2008, but police transferred her into the Weifang City Detention Center. Ms. Zhao was held there for an additional 18 days before she was released.

Ms. Jia Xuefeng, 47 years old, is an employee of the Hebei Province Transportation Technology Institute in Shijiazhuang City. Police followed and arrested her in October 2007 when she explained the facts of Falun Gong. Police then ransacked her home and confiscated two computers. Ms. Jia is presently being held at the city's No.2 Detention Center. Qiaoxi District Court agents planned to sentence her.

Ms. Gong Qiumin, Ms. Xu Cuihua, and Ms. Wu Chuanru from the Sanchazi District, Jiangyuan County, Baishan City, Jilin Province, were reported to police the morning of December 26, 2007. Officer Li Li from the Dayangcha Police Station arrested them and put them into the police station. Police confiscated all her truth clarification materials and 400 yuan cash from Ms. Gong, a bank deposit book, and 20 yuan from Ms. Xu.
After being held for seven days, the three practitioners were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. They are presently being held at the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province. The camp's No.5 division chief shocked Ms. Gong with electric batons and made her work from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Ms. Niu Ling and Ms. Li Xiuhua from Nong'an County, Jilin Province, were put in the county's detention center on September 24, 2007. After being held for 21 days, they were sentenced to one year of forced labor in the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. No.5 Division chiefs Wang Limei and Xu Dan often shocked Ms. Niu with electric batons and brutally beat her.
28. [Beijing] Mr. Zhou Yuchuan Sentenced to Forced Labor
Mr. Zhou Yuchuan, in his 30s, worked in a sculpture company in the Tongzhou District, Beijing. Police ransacked his home in November 2007 and confiscated a satellite TV receiver and several Dafa books. It has been heard that Mr. Zhou has been sentenced to two years of forced labor.
29. [Da County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Peng Darong Put in a Brainwashing Center
Pan Junlan from the Da County Domestic Security Division, personnel from the 610 Office and Da County Food Bureau chief Liang Jingcai broke into Mr. Peng Darong's home. These intruders ransacked the place the afternoon of September 30, 2007. They confiscated one of Master's pictures and some truth clarification materials. Mr. Peng is presently being held at the brainwashing center in the Army District Hotel.
Practitioners held in the brainwashing center were forbidden to communicate with each other and were forced to watch Dafa-slandering videos.
(Clearwisdom.net) I couldn't remain calm after reading the articles written by fellow practitioners recalling how Master spread the Fa. Every scene of Master's last lecture in Guangzhou replayed itself before my eyes. I believe it is my responsibility to write what I saw and witnessed in the classes so that we can leave it for future generations, for them to spread far and wide.
1. From Every Direction Practitioners Could See Master Lecturing Face to Face
Master is tall and benevolent, kind and gracious, and makes one feel that he is easy to approach. When I first saw our venerable Master, I felt like I had known him before. When Master was lecturing and explaining the Fa principles to us, we couldn't help bursting into applause many times. It was our luckiest and happiest moment as we listened to Master's lecture in person.
The stadium was fully packed with practitioners as Master taught the Fa and the exercises. I was thinking that if I could just sit beside Master or sit where I could see him face to face, how wonderful it would be! Unfortunately, I was sitting in back, far away from him. But he knew what I was thinking and knew my heart. He said that, no matter where we sat, it was all the same. As soon as Master said that, I saw him facing practitioners in every direction as he lectured. He was facing practitioners wherever they were. How miraculous! Really miraculous!! From the four sides of the stadium, no matter on which side practitioners sat, they all sat in front of Master, facing Him, and were bathed in his Buddha light. During the entire time Master lectured on the Fa, there were three big Buddhas in yellow kasayas where he sat.
After cultivating Dafa, I realize that atheism is utterly cheating people and is the root cause of the downward slide in modern people's morality. Atheism is a crooked theory that harms people.
2. Miracle on the Road: My Clothes Didn't Get Wet When It Rained
One day on our way back to the hotel from the lecture, some other practitioners and I were sharing our experiences. When I looked up, I noticed that the windshield wipers of a car coming toward us were wiping back and forth and that rain was dripping down the car window. Only then did we realize that it was raining. It was not a light rain, either--the road was all wet. Wherever we went, though, there was no rain. All the way to the hotel, our clothes didn't get wet at all!
3. Master Purified Practitioners' Bodies
I started cultivation because I had poor health. In the seminar, Master purified the bodies of practitioners. Master had us stand up, relax, and think of our diseases. If anyone didn't have any diseases, he told us to think of relatives who had diseases. He had us stamp our right foot first, then stamp our left foot. I saw Master's large hand wave to collect bad things from everyone. Black, murky water dripped down from Master's hand. Master threw it on the ground and stamped his foot on it. We heard a big sound and felt our bodies become light in a way we had never experienced before. Like Master said in Zhuan Falun, "After I removed the bad things from your body yesterday, most of you felt that your whole body was light and very comfortable."
In the seminar, Master also said that he didn't need to cure disease with his hands, and that when he looked at you, his gong went over to you to cure your disease. When Master looked at me, I instantly felt the surge of a hot current that came down from my head to my toes, through my whole body, purifying my body. As Master was lectured, I realized that he was doing guanding to every genuine practitioner.
4. Pure Land
Practitioners attending the seminar in Guangzhou came from every corner of the country. They were from Xinjiang, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, etc. After listening to Master's lectures over several days, we had changed our views and perspectives. During that time, anything that was lost was later found. Practitioners handed in whatever they picked up, such as money, a watch, and a gold necklace. This was in sharp contrast to the low moral level in Chinese society, where people resorted to every means and dared to do anything to get money.
Some practitioners came to Guangzhou early and didn't bring enough money with them. Practitioners who came late or had enough money generously offered help. It was common that practitioners helped those with difficulties and were always considerate and thinking of others first.
Wherever Master went and held a seminar, the morality of practitioners rose, and this helping-each-other phenomena became commonplace. No wonder ordinary people said that Master's Zhuan Falun was a great "Fa" with high morality, and that genuine Falun Gong practitioners were all good people. It was truly a pure land in Falun Gong.
5. Lucky Dragon Presented its Magnificence and Splendor
One night, several of us were studying Master's lecture of the day and we also shared personal experiences at the hotel. Outside, we heard other practitioners shouting that two dragons had appeared in the sky. We went up to the top level with other practitioners. We looked up and saw two white dragons hovering together in the sky above the hotel. We even clearly saw the dragons' mustaches.
During Master's lecture, we saw beaming rosy light in the sky above the stadium at all times, and Falun were rotating everywhere. The dragon that represented good luck was present. Everything was so splendid! The grass and trees around us bloomed colorfully.
Ever since our Venerable Master started spreading Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) in China and around the world, the Udumbara flowers have started to appear around the world and in China. According to the Buddhist sutras, the Udumbara flowers blossom every three thousand years. The appearance of the Udumbara flowers means that the Holy Law Wheel King is rectifying the Fa in the human world.

1. Fortunate to be a Dafa Disciple in this lifetime
I started practicing Falun Gong in November 1998. At that time, we had our annual physical exam. My results showed that I had a lot of diseases, including lobular hyperplasia, heart disease, vocal nodules, surface antigen-positive disease and others. I felt very bad. I was only 40 years old. How could I have so many diseases? One night, I couldn't sleep. The next day, I got up early in the morning. I wanted to go to the park and see if there was any good exercise method that I might try.
The moment I arrived at the park, I was attracted by some beautiful music. It seemed to be coming from heaven. I went to the place where the music was and saw many people sitting there in meditation. I asked the people nearby what it was. One lady introduced me to Falun Gong. I immediately felt happy inside. I thought about my job as a teacher and that I did not have much spare time. This exercise was a good fit for me. The next morning, I went to the exercise site and started learning the Falun Gong exercises.
That night I went with the coordinator to the group Fa study. The coordinator asked me how I felt. I said that I had been very relaxed the whole day. During the Fa study, I did not have a copy of Zhuan Falun, so I shared the book with another practitioner. At that time, I could feel that this book explained the meaning of life. I was able to understand many issues that I had wondered about for years. Several days later, my husband and I got a copy of Zhuan Falun. When I opened the book, I saw Teacher's photo. I was so happy that I shouted out loudly, "I know Teacher!" He looked so familiar, so close and so peaceful. At that point, I started on my cultivation path.
2. I Wanted to Validate the Fa
On July 20, 1999, the persecution against Falun Gong was launched. That morning I went to the exercise site, where I saw police. Two other practitioners were there like me, just walking back and forth. I felt very sad and shed tears.
At that time, I only clarified the truth to my friends and people with whom I was familiar. I told them how good Falun Dafa was. I had only enlightened to this point. At that time, my enlightenment quality was low, and I did not go to Beijing to validate the Fa. Now, when I think about that time, I think it was all due to my selfishness.
To make up for the regret, I often talk about the truth of Dafa to people around me. I told friends and relatives about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) staged self-immolation on Tiananmen Square. I pointed out to my co-workers that if Liu Siying's trachea was cut open, how could she sing songs? How could they wrap people suffering severe burns with heavy bandages? People without medical knowledge should still know these basic facts. I pointed out the suspicious parts of the Tiananmen Square self-immolation story to them. They could not help but nod in agreement. I also brought along the CD about the truth of the Tiananmen Square self-immolation. I kept clarifying the truth to friends, relatives, and people I knew, and introduced them to Falun Dafa. Soon after, some of my friends, relatives, and co-workers started cultivating Dafa, or at least they came to understand the truth about Dafa.
3. Making Truth Clarification Materials by Myself
After July 20, 1999, I lost contact with most practitioners. Occasionally, I received Teacher's new lectures from an older practitioner. I read one that I received five times.
"As a Dafa disciple, no matter what the situation or what the circumstances, you have to study the Fa, and you can't neglect your own assimilation and improvement; you can't forget to study the Fa. If you don't study the Fa well, you won't be able to do Dafa work well." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston")
I thought that I must study the Fa more. Only with more Fa study could I do Dafa things well and do better in clarifying the truth to people.
I started to hand-copy Teacher's new lecture. But before I could finish it, I had to pass it along to other practitioners. So, I thought that if I could only print Teacher's new lecture and pass it to other practitioners, that would be great! As soon as I had this thought, another practitioner gave me the software to break through the CCP's Internet blockade. Then, I could easily visit the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. I was able to download Teacher's new lectures and the "Minghui Weekly." This provided truth-clarification materials to me and to other practitioners. I truly enlightened to "Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master." (Lecture One in Zhuan Falun) I printed the articles in the daytime and distributed them door to door at night. I wanted to let more people know the truth about Falun Gong.
After the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published, I read it once. I always felt that I had been affected by the Chinese Communist Party's party culture. My words would often reflect that party culture. So, I read the Nine Commentaries two more times, and I was able to truly realize the CCP's nature of "deception-wickedness-violence." Then, I felt that my heart was clear and my body was transparent. I wanted more sentient beings to be saved. I enlightened that when clarifying the truth we need to widely spread the Nine Commentaries to let people realize the party's nature. At night when I come back home, I print the Nine Commentaries. Every day when I go to work, I bring two copies, and distribute them whenever I have a chance. At night I distribute them to every household's mailbox with this one thought: "I hope the sentient beings who receive the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party can realize the CCP's nature, withdraw from the party and thus be saved."
Sometimes, I visit some former students who have graduated. I clarify the truth to their parents and give them the Nine Commentaries. After they read it, they come to know the truth. They took the initiative and wanted to withdraw from the CCP and its related organizations. I am also responsible for providing the materials to a few new practitioners so that they can have truth-clarification materials in a timely manner, validate the Fa, and save more sentient beings.
4. Studying the Fa well is the Key to Saving Sentient Beings
Although I work during the daytime, at night I am busy making truth-clarification materials. I am quite busy, but I always remember to study the Fa. I study at least one lecture each day. I also go over Teacher's new lectures periodically. I participate in a group Fa study session, and formed a Fa-study group with several new practitioners. At the beginning, we had group Fa-study every night, as I understood that new practitioners must study Fa more.
I'm a disciple of Teacher. I have the responsibility to guide the new practitioners well. This is also validating the Fa and saving sentient beings. We finished studying Zhuan Falun and all of Teacher's new lectures. The new practitioners improved quickly in their understanding of the Fa. Soon afterwards, they went out to validate the Fa and urge people to withdraw from the CCP and its related organizations. We now have the group Fa-study two nights per week. When we study the Fa, their children also participate in Fa study (those children are college students). These young people now also go out to clarify the truth and urge their classmates to withdraw from the CCP and its related organizations.
Because we study the Fa well, one of my cousins (a new practitioner) was able to pass the test of sickness karma smoothly. My cousin had glaucoma before she started practicing Falun Gong, and her glaucoma had not really been cured. After she started practicing Falun Gong, one day she could not see and her eyes were in a lot of pain. That night she called me over and told me, "This time the tribulation is too big. I'm afraid I won't be able to pass it, thus I would lose this Dafa and not be able to cultivate any more." (Before this one she had already had some serious tribulations, and she passed them smoothly.) I told her, "No, you have good inborn quality, you can endure it. That is why Teacher added this test for you. Maybe Teacher wants you to cultivate faster and keep up with the first batch of disciples."
She said to me later, "My eyes were so painful, yet I still finished studying one lecture in the morning." I asked her, "When you were studying the Fa, were your eyes in pain?" She said, "Not really." I said, "Then let's study the Fa together. Maybe this is better." We studied Lectures Six and Seven. I asked her again if she was in pain, and she said that now she felt much better. Then I remembered Teacher's words,
"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference" in Essentials for Further Advancement II)
The next day the pain in her eyes was all gone. I once again felt the magnificence of Dafa.
When we study Fa more, our saving sentient beings is also smooth. We clarify the truth to people face to face, urging them to withdraw from the CCP and its related organizations. Every day, we successfully urge several dozen people to withdraw. During the summer, my cousin and I also traveled outside of our hometown to clarify the truth and save sentient beings. We clarified the truth on the train and were able to urge over twenty people to withdraw from the CCP and its related organizations. Among those people, there were college students, graduate students, farmers, migrant workers, and others. Seeing those people come to understand the truth and choose a beautiful future, we were happy for them in our hearts.
We should study the Fa more, study the Fa well, and save more sentient beings, thus fulfilling the responsibility of Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period.
(Clearwisdom.net) There is a certain practitioner who told me things whenever she saw me. She would tell me that she gave truth-clarification DVDs to so and so and had clarified the truth to certain people. She also mentioned that she distributed flyers and posted truth clarification phrases with a specific practitioner. She even told me where she got the truth materials from. I asked her, "Why are you telling me these things?" Her reason was very simple. She said that she told me this information because she trusts me.
One coordinator receives large amounts of truth clarification materials, divides them into smaller piles, and then asks other practitioners to pick up the smaller piles for further distribution. Some practitioners did not pay attention to their cultivation of speech. They went home and casually revealed where the materials came from to their spouses or children. They felt that since they were family, they could trust them completely. However, whenever the materials appeared on the street, people soon knew who had distributed those materials and who had posted the phrases. All this information was leaked by practitioners' relatives.
As the cultivation environment improves, some practitioners are not so careful about safety issues. They yell out a fellow practitioner's name on the street. They also hand out sensitive materials and/or books without putting them into an envelope. When fellow practitioners point out that we should be careful about safety, a certain practitioner says that the others have a "fear attachment" or "not enough righteous thoughts" and so on.
There is another practitioner who wanted to set up a family truth clarification materials production site. Even before the person had purchased a computer and learned how to use a printer, people started to show up, asking for materials. Later on, this practitioner's family member, who did not practice, was afraid of "getting into trouble." The purchased equipment was then sold or given away.
There are also practitioners who casually introduce newcomers to other practitioners or take newcomers right to the material production sites. Some even casually tell other people about practitioners who are in charge of the materials. The reason they give for telling this information to others is: "We are all Dafa practitioners."
Too many hard lessons have been learned due to not cultivating one's speech and not paying attention to safety issues. Why are there still practitioners who have not learned these lessons? In fact, it is because these cultivators still have many attachments, such as showing off, excitement, a need for admiration, curiosity, not considering other people's feelings, and so on. The bottom line is that this is determined by the cultivator's xinxing level and cultivation state. If a cultivator reaches a certain state that is beyond this level, what they have done is already forgotten. They would not want talk about it even you asked them to.
Cultivation of speech is one of the basic requirements for Dafa disciples. It is a reflection of being responsible for Dafa and Dafa practitioners. It has nothing to do with trusting or not trusting someone. Those practitioners who feel that they can say anything among fellow practitioners have an attachment to sentiment. It becomes validating "the self" instead of validating Dafa. In actuality, everything that a Dafa disciple does is all for oneself; it is your own business and your own responsibility. Why is there a need to talk about it?
(Clearwisdom.net) Recently I had some friction with another practitioner, and became angry. If the same thing happened with a non-practitioner, I would be able to tolerate them and forgive them. But when it happened with a practitioner, my anger came from nowhere. A typical example of this is that I can freely chat and laugh with my father, who does not practice Falun Gong, but I often argue with my mother, who is a practitioner.
When I encounter conflicts with other practitioners, the first thing I think of, is not to search inside, but to complain, and I become upset. "How can he/she behave like this? This is not like a practitioner." Initially, I thought like this. Later, I found that when other practitioners had conflicts, they too would often say similar words, "Not really like a practitioner... worse than an everyday person." This seems to be a common response when we are upset. In fact, it not only hurts practitioners, but it is also disrespectful to Teacher. Teacher mentioned many times that whether a person is a true practitioner or not is decided by Teacher. We are not qualified to judge who is a practitioner and who is not.
One time I gave something to a practitioner and specifically told her not to lose it. Later, she did not return it to me, and waited for me to ask for it back. Several times she said her cell phone was turned off, then she said the item was in other practitioner's home. In the end she told me she could not find it. If this had happened with a non-practitioner, I would not be upset at all; rather I would comfort the person and not pay much attention to it. But she was a practitioner. In addition, some other practitioners told me that she used to have a habit of keeping other people's things. I became very upset, and thought she deliberately refused to return my property to me.
After complaining to a non-practitioner friend about this situation, the friend said, "What kind of person is she? She doesn't deserve to be a friend." Fortunately I did not tell this friend that the person was a practitioner. Otherwise what kind of impression would they have of Dafa? All my friends who don't cultivate in Falun Gong have a positive impression of Dafa. Most of them withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its related organizations, and some even want to practice Falun Gong. If I complain to them about practitioners, it is very possible they will have negative thoughts about Dafa. Isn't this what Teacher mentioned in "Fa Teaching Given to the Australian Practitioners," about not being able to differentiate the inside from the outside?
Then I thought, maybe the fellow practitioner was not really like that. Maybe she accidentally lost the item that I gave to her, yet due to my attachment a false impression was created making me feel that she deliberately responded the way she did. Even if the practitioner really has that shortcoming, it is like what Teacher said,
"...as long as the side of you that has been fully cultivated goes over and is partitioned off, everything that you haven't fully cultivated will still manifest. Human attachments will still show themselves, just as will bad elements. When tensions or conflicts emerge it can't be said that Dafa disciples haven't cultivated well, nor can this and that be said about that particular group of cultivators, and it can't be said that the individuals involved aren't diligent. You can never see the side that has been fully cultivated. That side has become divine, and only the side that hasn't been fully cultivated shows itself." ("Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference at the U.S. Capital, 2006")
The strict requirements for practitioners are requirement for ourselves, not for others. When a conflict arises, you should first ask yourself, "Am I acting like a practitioner? Do I deserve to be Teacher's student?" If we treat our fellow practitioners with tolerance our cultivation environment will be compassionate and harmonious.

1. Predestined Relationship with Falun Dafa
One day when I was five, I was playing on a stone stool in front of my house when I saw a young man about 20 years old appear in front of me. He looked at me for five minutes and then disappeared. I always wondered who he was. As I grew up, I gradually forgot this incident until I read Zhuan Falun in 1995 and saw Teacher's picture. All of sudden I remembered. That young man was Teacher! I felt that I was predestined to cultivate Falun Dafa. Otherwise, I would not have seen Teacher when I was a child.
I started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1996. However, I did not cultivate solidly during the personal cultivation period, 1992 to 1999, before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. I did not take Teacher's words deep into my heart. Though I was doing the exercises and studying the Fa, I did not follow the requirements of the Fa completely. In 2004, my attachment to affection between a man and a woman and also my attachment about the limited time until Fa Rectification caused me to gradually stop studying the Fa and doing the exercises. I also stopped sending forth righteous thoughts and eventually stopped cultivation. Two precious years were then wasted.
One evening at the beginning of 2006, when I was on my way home, I suddenly saw a lot of Faluns about the size of a thumb in one dimension. I thought passively, "Why am I seeing this? I am not a practitioner anymore. Just close my Celestial Eye so that I won't see this and think about cultivation anymore." However, the stronger my wish not to see it, the more I could see. Every evening I saw Faluns. And they were bigger each day. When they became the size of a fist, I thought, "Is it time for the Fa to rectify the human world when these Faluns become so big that they connect to each other and cover the whole sky?" All of a sudden words from the Fa appeared in my mind (later I realized that it was Teacher who put this Fa into my head):
"Whoever misses out on this historic opportunity, whoever misses out on this chance, when you realize what you've missed out on you won't even want to live even if you are allowed to!" ("Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference").
To cultivate or not to cultivate? These two thoughts kept fighting in my head. I was deeply bothered. All my family members but two sisters were practitioners. But I did not want to talk to my sisters as I was afraid of being laughed at. At one family gathering, my sister asked me to drink wine. Even though I had stopped cultivating, I still thought that I should not do those things that a practitioner does not do, so I said that I would not drink. My sisters said, "You are just like grass, falling to any side the wind blows you." Now when I think back, Teacher was using their mouths to tell me to cultivate firmly, but I did not enlightened then. Finally, one day, my righteous thoughts overcame my human notions. I decided to go back to cultivation and hurry up to do well the three things that Dafa practitioners should do.
2. The Seriousness of Cultivation
I found a practitioner who had given up cultivation due to persecution. I first helped her quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and then I gave her many truth-clarification materials. She understood the Fa and said that she would take up cultivation again. I gave my copy of Zhuan Falun to her and copied all of Teacher's Fa lectures onto an MP3 player for her. Every week I gave her copies of the Minghui Weekly (a weekly publication by the Minghui website, the Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net). Seeing her come back to Dafa, I was both happy and ashamed. I was happy to see that with Teacher's benevolent help and strengthening, a lost disciple came back. But I also felt ashamed for not helping her much in the past several years. I felt that I was not worthy of Teacher's grace. I wanted to try my best to help other practitioners to make up for my mistake. So whenever I heard about practitioners not being in a good cultivation state, I went with other practitioners to see them. We would share our understanding of the Fa, help them eliminate the interference, and strengthen their righteous thoughts so that they could catch up with the Fa rectification process. When practitioners were persecuted, I sent the news to the Minghui website and also passed it on to other practitioners. We informed fellow practitioners to send forth the righteous thoughts for these practitioners and eliminate the evil in other dimensions.
I also experienced the superior power of righteous thoughts. In 2006, I heard that a former practitioner had returned home. He was strongly interfered with by his family. Though he did not want to give up Dafa, his family watched him closely and did not let him study the Fa or do exercises, not to mention clarify truth about Falun Dafa to other people. I got his phone number and tried to call him. I called four times but my call just could not go though. I realized that there was evil interference, so I started sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil in our region. But the call still did not go through. I said in my heart to Teacher, "Our benevolent and magnificent Teacher, please strengthen me. Please completely eliminate every evil life and factor that interferes with and blocks disciples. No matter what, I must see that practitioner today." After I sent out this thought, I dialed the number and it worked! As I met him several times, his righteous thoughts became strong. He asked for a copy of Zhuan Falun and started taking sending forth the righteous thoughts seriously.
I also realized the seriousness of cultivation. As a practitioner, if we can't give up fame, self interest or sentiment, it will be very dangerous for us. The old forces can take advantage of it. There was a senior practitioner in our region. Her son left home and went into hiding due to the persecution. After the Sujiatun atrocity (where the CCP was harvesting and selling practitioners' organs for profit) was exposed, she could not sleep because she kept worrying about her son due to her attachment to him. This situation lasted for more than six months. Her health deteriorated greatly. Her breast cancer, which was under control, then came back. After I returned to cultivation, I asked all practitioners in our region to send forth righteous thoughts for her. I also went to her home with practitioners who had also gone through illness tribulations to share with her. A practitioner with an opened Celestial Eye also saw that Teacher cleared away many black materials for her.
When she realized her attachment and tried to let it go, she became severely ill. She had passively endured the pain for several years and felt that she could not do anything about it. And she became unclear on the Fa. I went to her home to share with her many times but it had no effect. Later I got busy when I went to another city to learn the technical skills for setting up a material production center, so I talked to her less. She died when I was out of town. This event was a big shock to us. I wrote this here to call it to the attention of fellow practitioners: Never forget your own cultivation when doing Dafa work.
3. Teacher Resolved Everything for Me
It has been 12 years since I started cultivation. I have a very deep understanding of "cultivation is up to you, gong is up to the master." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture 2)
In early 2007, because we had a gap in our whole body, the police arrested nine practitioners. Many of them were from large material production centers. We lost several computers, printers, and more than ten thousand yuan in cash. Minghui Weekly stopped arriving for practitioners in three regions. Nor could we produce truth-clarification materials anymore. Some time ago I saw these practitioners had too much work and worried about their safety as they might not have enough time to study the Fa. I wanted to set up a material center in my home to reduce their workload. However, these practitioners were arrested before I started. What should I do? Suddenly I recalled that Minghui Weekly had mentioned that some practitioners traveled several hundred miles to other places to learn computer technical skills. I could do that, too!
I had a few relatives who were also practitioners in another city. There were many practitioners and many material centers in their city as many practitioners knew the technology. I wanted to go there to learn, but I did not have money to buy the equipment. I talked to my practitioner relatives in my town. They got the money for me quickly. For safety and convenience, I bought a laptop and an ink jet printer. Then I went with a relative to visit the relatives in that city. They invited their technical practitioners to teach me. I went there four times and I learned how to do it. Looking back, all I had was just a wish. From money to technology, Teacher resolved all the challenges for me.

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Wu Fuxiang, former director of the labor department of Xingtai Steel Company Party Committee, developed colon cancer
The former director of the labor department of Xingtai Steel Company Party Committee, Wu Fuxiang, used to torture Falun Dafa practitioners. He now has colon cancer and is hospitalized in Beijing.
When he was the director, he actively followed Jiang's regime and participated in the persecution of Falun Gong to pursue his own interests. He forced Falun Gong practitioners in his work unit to write "repentance letters" saying that they would give up their belief in Falun Gong. He also repeatedly went to practitioners' homes to harass them, forcing them to hand over all of their Falun Gong books. Cooperating with the local 610 Office, he sent practitioners to brainwashing centers and detention centers. All Falun Gong practitioners were expelled or forced to leave their jobs due to the persecution.
It is a heavenly principle that kindness will be repaid with kindness and evil will be repaid with evil. In 2003, Wu was forced to step down due to his corruption. He now suffers from colon cancer. We advise those people who were involved or are still involved in the persecution of Falun Gong to think about it, as the persecution has been going on for nine years. Falun Gong is now being practiced all over the world. Due to this vicious persecution, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has lost the confidence of the people and is on the verge of collapse. It is your own decision whether to stop doing what is wrong so you can have a bright future or to continue your evil deeds and be eliminated along with the CCP.
Zhang Huizhu, head of Hezhuangzi Town, Niangniangzhuang Village in Zunhua City, Hebei Province, died
Zhang Huizhu, the head of Hezhuangzi Town, Niangniangzhuang Village in Zunhua City, Hebei Province, was 50 years old. In order to keep his post as an official, he was closely following the orders of the CCP. Together with the local 610 Office and security office, he followed Falun Gong practitioners in his village, ransacked their homes, and extorted large sums of money from them, causing tremendous financial loss and spiritual trauma to practitioners and their families. Even under such circumstances, practitioners still kindly clarified the truth to him. However, in addition to Zhang Huizhu's refusal to listen, he also sarcastically said, "The CCP gives me good food and wealth. I don't believe in retribution."
In March of 2007, Zhang Huizhu suddenly had difficulty speaking and his voice became hoarse. Later he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in Tangshan Hospital. After undergoing two surgeries, the cancer spread throughout his body and could not be treated. He could barely swallow water, let alone eat good food. He died on January 7, 2008.
We want to warn those who are still persecuting Falun Gong to wake up and become clear headed, as it is a heavenly principle that kindness will be repaid with kindness and evil will be repaid with evil.
