(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of November 6, a Eutelsat Stockholder Conference was held in Neuilly, France. As it was the last conference of 2008, nearly 200 stockholders from all over the world attended. Meanwhile, about 100 supporters of New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) protested outside the conference venue, requesting the satellite company to restore the network's broadcast signal to Asia.

After the conference concluded, several stockholders were interviewed. One of them said that the first topic of Eutelsat CEO Giuliano Berretta's speech was "the Suspension of the NTDTV Broadcast" and it was a prepared speech. Evidently, the top executives could no longer hide this issue from the company's stockholders. At the conference, one stockholder questioned the CEO on this issue and said that Eutelsat did a good thing for the Chinese people by broadcasting NTDTV programs, and yet the move to suspend the broadcasts last June seemed designed to please the Chinese Communist regime.

Another stockholder told the conference attendees that the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs had confirmed the allegations made by Reporters Without Borders, which pointed out in July that Eutelsat suspended the broadcastsAccording to quite a few stockholders, the Eutelsat CEO overreacted to questions on this topic. He often gave unrelated answers and tried several times to prevent questions of this kind from being raised.
