(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Wang Xiuqing. I live in the Chaoyang District of Beijing. Because I practice Falun Gong, I have been persecuted for eight years and have become disabled. The persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its former secretary Jiang Zemin has not only disrupted my normal life but also brought tremendous pressure and harm to my family. The 610 Office agents have continually harassed my family and me. We have lived under constant fear, which has traumatized us physically and psychologically.

I was dismissed from my job. I now clean the apartment and depend on working part time to support myself.

During these eight years, I have been "illegally detained" three times and held in a forced labor camp for a year and a half. I was treated inhumanly and forced to sleep on a cement floor, beaten by the guards and prisoners, denied use the shower, deprived of sleep, and not allowed to buy daily necessities. During my menstrual period, I was forced to use my sleeves to clean myself. Specifically, when I was detained in Tuanhe Detention Center, policewoman Guo Lina and drug addict inmate Lan Shuqin beat me severely for more than five hours. As a result I couldn't get out of bed for a week. They said I couldn't walk because I had hypertension and didn't take any medication. When I was in the labor camp, I saw that the practitioners who didn't want to be "transformed" were not allowed to sleep or to see their families. They were forbidden from using the telephone, using the bathroom, or talking to others. They were also forced to endure brainwashing and had to write daily reports on their so-called "understandings" about Falun Gong. The report contents had to tally with the CCP's requirements, otherwise the practitioners were confined in cells and brutally tortured and forced to do hard labor,, such as packing 5,000 pairs of chopsticks. If they didn't meet the quota, they were not allowed to sleep. Mistreatment and physical abuse were very common.

After I was released, the neighborhood committee, the local police station, and the 610 Office hired people to monitor my daily activities and follow me wherever I went. My home phone was tapped and I lost all personal freedom. On October 18, 2006, at about 7:00 p.m., a group of police officers broke into my home. One of them, the leader, named Xu Yong, asked me my view of Falun Gong. I said, "We should abide by certain standards to live and be kind." He said, "Also, tolerance, too, that's another principle of Falun Gong. Thus, I think you must have some mental problems and you need to come with us for a walk." With the help of my family, I went to my room. In an attempt to escape, I jumped down from the second floor and inadvertently broke my leg.

I then remained in hiding to avoid further persecution. During that time the police secretly tried to track me down. On September 13, 2007, the 610 Office called my husband and told him to find me, with the guarantee that once I finished the "transformation" class, there would be no forced labor. Under much pressure, my husband found me. But things became even worse. 610 Office official Wang Shulong and other police officers thought I was a "key figure," closely linked with the Falun Gong organization, on the grounds that my arrest was reported on the Clearwisdom website. Because of this, they had a special class designed for me.

Because I broke my leg and didn't receive any immediate medical treatment, my bone was dislocated, making it very difficult to walk. The police had no choice but to postpone my "transformation." Wang Shulong recently called my home and told my family that his supervisor wanted me to go to the hospital for treatment. But I knew his intention was to prepare me for the "transformation" class.

My current situation is very perilous, and I could be illegally arrested at any time. My husband is disabled. The sight in his left eye is very poor, and he is completely blind in his right eye. He is solely dependent on me. Under such cruel persecution, his blood pressure is very unstable. We are dependent on our children for financial support.

Due to police threats, my family doesn't allow me to talk with anyone or to go out of the house. I stay in my room almost every day. They get very nervous when the phone rings. They are always in an extremely tense state. My husband repeats the same phrase every day, "Wang Xiuqing, don't let anything happen to you. I can't take it anymore. It's been eight years. When will it be over?"

I want to tell the whole world about the CCP's heinous persecution of Falun Gong. Believing in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" is not wrong, and I believe that all kindhearted people would agree with me.
