These words really enlightened me. Now, whenever I think back, only when I had done the three things well, did things go smoothly. On the other hand, the times that I had not done them well, nothing would go well and a lot of time was wasted. The spring sowing of last year and this year gives a very good contrast.
Last year when I was sowing the corn, the field was 2.3 mu (about 1534 square meters) and it took me three to four days to finish. I would get up early and come back very late. As a result, I could not study the Fa or do the exercises. I am not even mentioning here, sending forth righteous thoughts or clarifying the truth. The time was all wasted and I was very tired.
This year there were 2.7 mu (about 1801 square meters) but it only took two days. I would do the sitting meditation for one hour at lunch time, and I did not fall behind in any of the other things, including the morning exercises, Fa-study, evening exercises, Fa-study at the exercise site, and the three things required by Master. As a result, my body felt very relaxed and no time was wasted.
My point is to tell fellow practitioners who are lazy like I was - please hurry up and be diligent. Every time when Master teaches the Fa, he repeatedly keeps reminding us with compassion that we should study the Fa more and study it well. "The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference", Essentials for Further Advancement II) We should study Master's writings more often, such as "The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be" and "A Will That Ebbs Not", and only by doing so, can we keep a diligent cultivation state.
