(Clearwisdom.net) From July 20 to 25, 2007, Turkish Falun Gong practitioners spent time in the city of Selcuk, located in northeastern Turkey, to introduce Falun Gong and expose the Chinese communist regime's persecution of the practice.

The practitioners first went to City Hall to introduce Falun Gong to the government employees and expose the persecution in China. They visited Mr. Yusurf Yavas, an archaeologist working for the city. Mr. Yusurf was very interested in Falun Gong. He said excitedly that he finally realized that what he had been waiting for in his deepest heart was Falun Gong. He indicated that he would learn the Falun Gong exercises and read all the Falun Gong books. He also said he would do his best to support practitioners' truth-clarification activities in Selcuk.

During the practitioners' stay in Selcuk, they also paid a visit to the local branch of the Haber Turk, a prominent news agency in Turkey, and held a long conversation with Ms. Deniz Dogan, a part-time senior correspondent associated with the Son Havadis, a major newspaper published by the news agency.

Practitioners presented truth-clarification materials to her and explained in detail about the report by independent investigators Mr. David Kilgour and Mr. David Matas on the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese communist regime, the status of lawsuits in many countries against the prime culprits in the persecution of Falun Gong, and the support that Falun Gong has received from various governments, civil organizations, and media around the world.

Ms. Deniz was shocked to learn about the ruthless persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have been suffering in China. She stressed that the Chinese regime's atrocity was intolerable and that anyone with a sense of conscience and justice should stand up to oppose the regime's inhuman conduct. Ms. Deniz said she would report the crimes of the Chinese Communist Party in newspapers and magazines, so that more Turkish people could understand Falun Gong and the truth about the persecution. When the practitioners were about to depart, Ms. Deniz expressed her sincere thanks to them for introducing Falun Gong, a wonderful cultivation way, to her. She said she had made up her mind and would start practicing Falun Gong as soon as possible.

On the eve of leaving Selcuk, practitioners visited Zuhal Spor Okulu, a renowned sports institute where several champion athletes were trained. The owners of the institute, Mr. and Mrs. Bahadir Uysal, offered a warm welcome to the practitioners. They have been paying lots of attention to Falun Gong's spread throughout the world and the persecution in China.

The practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises to a group of sports enthusiasts who work out together frequently. Many of them experienced a comfortable and magnificent feeling during the exercise demonstration.

To express his sincere support for Falun Gong, Mr. Bahadir said several times that Falun Gong practitioners are welcome to introduce the practice at their exhibition booth at the upcoming Selcuk Festival. Mrs. Bahadir also said that she would like very much to read Zhuan Falun. The practitioners promised to mail her a copy soon.
