1. [Dongkou County, Hunan Province] More Than Ten Falun Gong Practitioners Illegally Arrested
At 10:50 a.m. on July 28, 2007, practitioner Mr. Xiao Yaohan was arrested by more then twenty policemen when he was riding a motorcycle to distribute truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong. The police took him to the Dongkou County Police Station and confiscated his Dafa books, Teacher's articles, "Minghui Weekly," and more than one thousand yuan in cash. At 10 p.m., Mr. Xiao escaped with righteous thoughts. He is moving from place to place to avoid being arrested again.
At 9 p.m. that night, police also illegally arrested more than ten practitioners, including Mr. Xiang Youhai, Ms. Xiao Jinlian, Ms. Xiao Hongyan, Ms. Liu Qilian, Mr. Xiao Baiming, Ms. Jiu Niang, and Ms. Xiao Yan.
2. [Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province] Twenty Falun Gong Practitioners Illegally Arrested
At around 9:30 p.m. on August 15, 2007, police officers from the Shanhaiguan City Police Department arrested twenty practitioners, including Mr. Wei Danquan, Mr. Zuo Hongtao, Mr. Deng Wenyang, Ms. Gao Shuling, Ms. Zhao Huanzhen, Ms. He Xiuhua, Ms. Huang Weiling, Ms. Deng Guiyun, Ms. He Xiu and Ms. Zhao Chunming. Police officers ransacked Mr. Zuo Hongtao's home at 3 a.m. on August 16. Some of these practitioners are being detained at the Shanhaiguan Detention Center.
3. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on Over Ten Arrested PractitionersAt 1 p.m. on August 1, 2007, more than a dozen policemen, both in uniform and in plain clothes, broke into the home of Mr. Pan Changxin and his wife Ms. Sun Shuying in Guanshan Town. Some officers broke down the door and some climbed up ladders and broke in through the windows. They arrested more than ten practitioners, including Mr. Pan Changxin, Ms. Sun Shuying, Ms. Sun Meiyu, and Ms. Yin Shuwen. They ransacked their homes and confiscated VCD players, tape recorders, TV antennas, books, information materials about Falun Gong and money.
The next day, the police arrested practitioners Mr. Song Jiwei and Ms. Bai Jinfang. They were taken to the Guoshan Town Police Station. Mr. Cao Ying was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested.

At noon on August 3, 2007, about seventy policemen from the Heyuan City Police Department carried submachine guns and surrounded Mr. Ling Huangzhen's home. They wanted to illegally arrest him but could not find him. Then they arrested over a dozen non-practitioners on site and detained them from between one to five days. A policemen broke the window of Mr. Ling's car and drove his neighbor's car away, claiming that he had borrowed the car before.
That night, Mr. Ling Hungzhen was located by the police when he made a call from his cell phone at a friend's home. Four policemen, carrying submachine guns, chased him for four hours. In the end, he was able to escape.
Other arrested practitioners include Mr. Ye Xiaojian, Ms. Lu Chunyan and Ms. Xiao Meilian. They are currently imprisoned at the Dongyuan County Detention Center. Mr. Ling Huangzhen's wife was taken to the police station twice. She is currently under surveillance. One of Mr. Ling's relatives, who happened to live at his home, was taken to the police station for questioning once.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Ms. Shao Mingying Illegally ArrestedMs. Shao Mingying is in her sixties and was arrested at the morning market in Changchun City when she was clarifying the facts about Falun Gong to people. She is currently detained at the Changchun City Police Department.
6.[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Zhu Yali Illegally Arrested at HomeAt a little past noon on August 15, 2007, policemen broke into Mr. Wang Jianmin's home in Changchun City in an attempt to arrest him, and ransacked his home. Mr. Wang was able to escape. The police then arrested his wife, Ms. Zhu Yali, who is also a practitioner.
7. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Teacher Qin, a Practitioner, was Forced to Leave Home and Go into HidingOn August 10, 2007, Teacher Qin from Xitie District in Fuxin City was reported by patrolmen in Pinganxi District, Fuxin City when he was clarifying the facts about Falun Gong. Police officers then arrested him and ransacked his home. His family was fined five thousand yuan before they released him. The police told him that they wanted him back for questioning later. Teacher Qin had to leave his home and go into hiding to avoid being arrested again.
8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution and Torture of Practitioners in Daqing City PrisonAt around 4:40 p.m. on August 15, 2007, Deputy Director Li Weinan of the Political Division in the Daqing City Prison ripped Mr. Wang Yudong's clothes off of his body and burned them. He then beat him with police batons. Li Weinan, Zhao Yan and Zhao also ordered eleven policemen from the Anti-Violence Team to torture practitioner Mr. Sui Yaoming in the same way. Thereafter, they put Mr. Sui in solitary confinement.

Mr. Wu Hongzhu from Harbin City was arrested by policemen from the Harbin City Police Department on the evening of August 15, 2007. The police took the computer that Mr. Wu used to make a living editing video and audio materials, as well as many other personal belongings. Mr. Wu Hongzhu is currently imprisoned at the Xiangfang District Detention Center in Harbin City.
10. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Ms. Jia Zhenlian and Ms. Wang Junyan Illegally ArrestedMs. Jia Zhenlian and Ms. Wang Junyan were arrested and taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province.
11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on the Arrest of Practitioners Ms. Li Yurong and Ms. Zheng YanMs. Li Yurong, 63, and Ms. Zheng Yan from Dalian City, were arrested by the police from the National Security Team in Dalian City when they were clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa on Shidao Street, Xigang District, Dalian City on the morning of August 6, 2007. They were taken to the Fujiazhuang Police Station in Dalian City. Their homes were ransacked and policemen took Ms. Li's Dafa books and materials and Ms. Zheng's computer. The practitioners were taken to the Fujiazhuang Police Station. At 4 p.m. that afternoon, they were moved to the Taojia Detention Center in Dalian City. Ms. Li Yurong is imprisoned in Cell 8-9 of the Taojia Detention Center. She was forced to stand up for at least two days.

At 1 p.m. on August 16, 2007, policemen from the Dalian City Judicial Bureau broke into the home of Ms. Ding Zhenfang's mother and illegally arrested Ms. Ding. They also took two computers, a printer, a CD burner and money.
In addition, practitioner Ms. Cui Yan was arrested by the police from the Lijia Street Police Station in Dalian City and her home was ransacked.
13. [Tongjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Ms. Zhang Baochun and Mr. Cheng Huiling Illegally ArrestedFalun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhang Baochun and Mr. Cheng Guilin were arrested in Tongjiang City.
14. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Mr. Zeng Chu Illegally ArrestedMr. Zeng Chu, in his thirties, lives at the Wenchun Farming School in Mudanjiang City. He used to work at the Wenchun Cement Factory in Mudanjiang City, but they laid him off after he was sentenced to forced labor in 2001. Now he works for a privately-owned Internet cafe. Recently, he was arrested again at his home.

[Shenze County, Hebei Province] Persecution of Five PractitionersMs. Mi Gaixin from Hou Village, Zhaoba Township, and Mr. Zhang Chaofeng from Xiaobao Village, Baizhuang Township, are currently imprisoned at the Xinji City Detention Center in Hebei Province. They were all taken to court. The presiding judge knew that the charges against them were groundless, so he adjourned the court. Mr. Zhang Chaofeng's case was sent back to the Shenze County Procuratorate and Mr. Mi Gaixin's case was returned to the Shenze County Police Department.
Practitioners Ms. Sun Jingxia from Xihe Village, Shenze County and Ms. Xin Gabi from Zhuotou Village, Shenze County were illegally sentenced to 18 months of forced labor. They are imprisoned at the 502 Squadron, Fifth Division of the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province.

Ms. Yuan Guihua has been on a hunger strike since she was arrested on July 31, 2007. She is now in critical condition. The doctors forcefully put her on intravenous at the Medical Department of the Fuping County, Chinese Medicine Hospital. She was also put on a urination tube. Three policemen are watching her all the time. Ms. Yuan's niece, though not a Falun Gong practitioner, has been imprisoned at the Dingzhou City Detention Center, Hebei Province for more than two weeks.
Practitioners Mr. Gu Qiang and Mr. Zhao Zongran are currently imprisoned at the Fuping County Detention Center. Ms. Wen Xiuye, who was arrested on July 22, 2007, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and taken to Shijiazhuang City Prison. Her husband, who is not a practitioner, was released.

At around 10:30 a.m. on August 16, 2007, Ms. Shi Qiyun was forcefully taken to the police station and her home was ransacked. Mr. Qian Jinfo's home was also ransacked and his whereabouts are currently unknown. There are also several other practitioners missing.
19. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Recent Information on Persecution of Practitioner Ms. Wang HongfengMs. Wang Hongfeng was reported to the police when she distributed truth-clarification materials on July 12, 2007. She was then arrested by the police from the Daode Street Police Station in Jinan City, Shandong Province. Her home was ransacked. Her daughter found some people who have good connections with the police and gave them ten thousand yuan to get her mom released. Ms. Wang was released the next day to serve her sentence outside the prison under surveillance. The local police station requires Ms. Wang to report to the police station every day and pay one hundred yuan.

[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Illegally Imprisoned at the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor CampThe forced labor camp in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province hired Shi Yuhui (86-318-5206068), Zhang Junzhe (86-318-6695656), and Wu Yuxia (86-13932112251) to try to "transform" detained practitioners.
22. [Keshi City, Xinjiang] Practitioner Mr. Wang Jianghong Illegally Arrested and Imprisoned for More than a YearMr. Wang Jianghong, in his thirties, is an employee of the Keshi Third Water Group of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Hydrogeology Team. He started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. In July 2006, he escaped from the Keshi City Brainwashing Center. He was arrested at his home a few days later. The police ransacked his home and confiscated truth-clarification CDs. Guards at the detention center in Keshi City have extorted 20,000 yuan from his family.
Mr. Wang Jianghong is currently imprisoned and forced to work at the Second Division of the Keshi City Detention Center.
23. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Practitioner Ms. Hu Xiujuan Illegally ImprisonedMs. Hu Xiujuan, 55, is from Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. At 10 a.m. on August 16, 2007, policemen from the Erqi District Police Department, Zhengzhou City broke into her home and arrested her. They ransacked her home until one o'clock and took her notebook computer and printer, and her child's computer. A practitioner from another area staying at her home at that time was arrested as well.

On the morning of August 16, 2007, Jia Shibiao, director of the Hunyuan County National Security Team, Datong City, Shanxi Province, and Li Wende, deputy police chief of the Datong Police Department, along with two other policemen, broke into Ms. Yang Guiqin's home and forcefully arrested her.

[Xi'an City, Shanxi Province] Practitioners Mr. Zhang Mingliang and Mr. Chen Fayuan Taken to Brainwashing CenterOn May 22, 2007, Mr. Zhang Mingliang and Mr. Chen Fayuan from Baqiao District, Xi'an City, Shanxi Province were arrested when they were distributing truth-clarification materials about Falun Dafa in Zeshui County, Shanxi Province. After they were detained for one month, their families were notified to go to the Zeshui County Police Department to complete paperwork for awaiting trials on bail. Each family was fined three thousand yuan. However, after they completed the paperwork, staff from the Xian City 610 Office, the Political and Legal Committee and the police department showed up and took away Mr. Zhang Mingliang and Mr. Chen Fayuan by force. They were taken to the Xian City, Changan District, Workers' Sanitarium Brainwashing Center and forced to watch videos and read documents defaming Falun Dafa.

In the early morning of August 16, 2007, policemen from the Tongzhou City Police Department, Jiangsu Province went to Ms. Zhang Yongyun's home and arrested Ms. Zhang Yonglan, Ms. Zhang Yongqun, Ms. Shi Meilian and Ms. Zhang Yongyun.

Mr. Gao Guosheng was forced to move from place to place to avoid being arrested. His wife is frequently harassed by people from the Security Office of the Machine Factory.

35. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Ms. Zhong Suqiong and Mr. Chen Xiancai Illegally Imprisoned
In February 2007, Ms. Zhong Suqiong was imprisoned and is currently held at the Fenghuangshan Detention Center in Chengdu City. On July 11, 2007, Mr. Chen Xiancai was called to a meeting by the manager of the Shixi City Electricity Factory. He never returned afterwards. He is currently imprisoned at the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province.
36. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners from the Huangtianba Neighborhood Illegally ArrestedOn August 5, 2007, policemen from the Huangtianba Police Station of Jinniu District, Chengdu City arrested many practitioners, including Mr. Chen Jinsong, Ms. Deng Chaoxian, Ms. Su Fang, Ms. Zhou Liying, Mr. Song Yongfu, Mr. Bao and Mr. Guo. Many practitioner's homes were ransacked.
There have been several arrests of Falun Gong practitioners at the Huangtianba Number 132 Airplane Factory. Ms. Zhang Rongji was taken to the Yangmahe Women's Prison in Jianyang City and sentenced to several years of imprisonment. In addition, the managers of the flying school withheld the practitioners' pension payments and only gave them one hundred yuan to live on.

37. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Additional Information on the Arrest and Forced Labor Sentence of Practitioner Ms. Peng ZelanMs. Peng Zelan from Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, was arrested by the police from the Touqiao Police Station after she was reported for distributing truth-clarification materials on Weiqing Road in Guiyang City on July 27, 2007. She was taken to the Baihuashan Detention Center, Guiyang City. Her family requested her release after seven days and was told that she would be released in ten days. After ten days had passed, her family went to ask for her release, but the police told them that they were pressured from higher authorities to send her to a forced labor camp. Ms. Peng Zelan is currently imprisoned at the Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Peng Zelan was previously arrested and taken to the Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labor Camp for three years. She was released on September 19, 2005.
38. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhu Renbin Illegally ArrestedOn the afternoon of August 2, 2007, more than ten policemen, including two in uniform, went to the People's Publishing House in Sichuan and arrested Mr. Zhu Renbin and ransacked his office. They took a computer and two boxes of materials. Mr. Zhu Renbin is currently imprisoned at the Chengdu City Detention Center.

Ms. Gu Xiufang, in her fifties, is a teacher at the Jinan Steel Factory Middle School. She was arrested by the police from the Jinan Steel Factory Police Department in June 2007. After being detained for two months, she became ill and was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment. She is currently at the hospital being monitored by teachers from the Steel Factory School. The police continue to disturb her even though she is in critical condition.

[Tianjin City] Practitioner Ms. Li Zixia Illegally ArrestedMs. Li Zixia from Fengtai Town, Ninghe County, Tianjin City was arrested by policeman Zhang Bin and others from the Fengtai Town Police Station on the morning of August 12, 2007. The police then ransacked her home and took away Falun Gong materials. Ms. Li Zixia is currently imprisoned at the Ninghe County Detention Center.
