1. [Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province] Police Arrested More Than Twenty Falun Gong Practitioners
Police arrested more than 20 Falun Gong practitioners from a practitioner's home in Shanhaiguan City at 9:00 p.m. on August 15, 2007. These practitioners included Mr. Wei Danquan, Ms. Zhao Huanzhen, Mr. Deng Wenyang, Mr. Zuo Hongtao, Ms. He Xiujie, Ms. He Xiuhua, Ms. Zhao Chunming (Mr. Zheng Zhicheng's mother), Ms. Gao Shuling, Ms. Huang Weiling, Ms. Wang Shuqin, Ms. Deng Guiyun, Ms. Dong Yuxian, Mr. Chen Qijiang, Mr. Wang Jichang and his wife and their son, and Ms. Li and her husband. Police ransacked Mr. Wang Jichang's home the night of August 17, 2007. They confiscated a computer, a printer, and some other personal belongings. Police also ransacked several other practitioners' homes.
Practitioner Ms. Gao Shuling, arrested that night, suffered from heart disease, so her family requested that the police department release her, but they refused. Practitioner Ms. Zhao Huanzhen had been tortured to disability at the Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp prior to this arrest. Mr. Wei Danquan has had a relapse of tuberculosis resulting from previous forced labor camp stays. Practitioner Ms. He Xiujie had been arrested several times. Police did not release her until she had severe heart problems, which she had contracted as a result of all her previous detentions.
2. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Eighteen Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Zhengzhou City Police Department arrested several practitioners on August 16, 2007. Eight of them, including practitioner Ms. Shi Jiyun from the Huanghe Street Camera Factory's residential community, were sent to the city's No.1 Detention Center on August 17, 2007. The eight arrested practitioners included a three-member family. Police arrested another ten practitioners on August 18, 2007.
3. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Huang Zhengquan and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Huang Zhengquan and his wife from Ziyang City were arrested the afternoon of August 17, 2007. The Yanjiang District Police Department chief and other officers ransacked the couple's home. A woman practitioner was arrested at the same time.
4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ji Yueying Arrested
Two women who did not know the truth about Falun Gong followed 60-year-old practitioner Ms. Ji Yueying from the Sifang District of Qingdao City the afternoon of July 24, 2007. They called the police on her. Ms. Ji was arrested and taken to the Jiaxing Street Police Station, where she was held for a day. The police also ransacked Ms. Ji's home. They found nothing but a few Falun Dafa cards, but Ms. Ji was still sentenced to one year of forced labor, to be served in the Zibo City No.2 Women's Forced Labor Camp.
Mr. Li Yinglin, Ms. Ji's husband, was tortured to death in 2003 after he appealed for justice for Falun Gong.

5. [Liaoning Province] Officials from the Chaoyang City Political and Judiciary Committee Persecute Practitioners
Personnel from the Lingyuan City Police Department in Liaoning Province arrested about 40 practitioners on August 1, 2007. Chaoyang City Police Department deputy chief Zhang Minghua went to Lingyuan City to deal with the issue. He reported it to a related department in Liaoning Province. Personnel from the Lingyuan City Police Department had decided to release several people, but he refused to. He interrogated the arrested practitioners on August 16, 2007.
Practitioners Ms. Li Jingfang, Ms. Guo Fengxian and Mr. Liu Jincheng were taken to the Lingyuan City No.1 Detention Center. Other practitioners were taken to the city's No.2 Detention Center.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] The Persecution of Practitioner Nie Xuelan - Belated News
Ms. Nie Xuelan, 41 years old, used to be employed at the Dongxihu Cotton Factory. She went to Beijing to expose the persecution of Falun Gong in January 2001. Police arrested her, took her to Qianmen Police Station and then transferred her to the Changping District Police Department for further interrogation. Police stripped off her coat so that she would freeze in the snowy weather for several hours. Two days later they sent her back to the Dongxihu No.2 Women's Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City. She was made to work outdoors for over 10 hours. Officials later forced her to pay a 300 yuan "accommodation fee." Personnel from the Cotton Factory took her back and locked her up in a small compartment for eight and a half months. Her employer fined her 2,600 yuan.
7. [Hubei Province] Practitioners Persecuted at Shayang Fanjiatai Prison
Practitioner Mr. Fu Lulin's parents went to Shayang Fanjiatai Prison to visit him on July 12, 2007. His practitioner mother was forbidden to visit him. His father met with him and noticed that his son was skinny.
Practitioner Mr. Shi Lei refused to wear a prisoner's uniform and was put in a small cell for a month. All his family's visits were denied.
Practitioner Mr. Xu Qingguo's detention term expired in July 2007, but personnel from the prison colluded with personnel from Wuhan City "610 Office" and took him to the Kanjiaji Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City for further persecution.
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Dong Guixiu Arrested
Personnel from the Wuhan City Hongshan Police Station and from the Yunmeng City Daoqiao Police Station arrested 52-year-old practitioner Ms. Dong Guixiu at 8:50 p.m. on August 16, 2007. Ms. Dong is presently being held at the Yunmeng Detention Center.
9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Supplemental Information Regarding the Arrest of Practitioner Ding Zhenfang
Zhongshan District Kuiying Street Police Precinct chief in Dalian City broke into Ms. Ding Zhenfang's mother's home at 12:00 p.m. on August 6, 2007. They confiscated two printers, a computer, a CD burner, and a video-player. They arrested Ms. Ding and took her to Yaojia Forced Labor Camp that night.
10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioners Wu Bilin and Liu Yunchao Arrested
Ms. Wu Bilin and Mr. Liu Yunchao were arrested on August 6, 2007, as they exposed the persecution of Falun Gong in the Huangpo District's No. 288 Factory. Mr. Liu was taken to the district's detention center, but Ms. Wu's whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Hu Qiongfen, 45 years old, is from Niujiezhuang Village, Kunming City. Personnel from the Guandu District ransacked her home and took her to the district's detention center the afternoon of June 25, 2007.
15. [Hengren County, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Niu Yan Persecuted in Dabei Prison
Personnel from the Xinbin County Police Department arrested Ms. Niu Yan from Yezhugou Township, Hengren County, Benxi City, in 2002. She was sentenced to seven years in prison and has been held in Dabei Prison in Shenyang City since then.
16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] A Practitioner Arrested on August 19, 2007
A gentleman practitioner from near the No.19 Middle School in Changchun's Luyuan District was arrested at 7:00 a.m. on August 19, 2007. His computer was confiscated.
17. [Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Gao Shuqin Arrested
Ms. Gao Shuqin from Wujia Town, Shuangcheng City, was arrested the night of August 15, 2007. She is presently being held at the city detention center.
18. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Li Zhongyuan Arrested
Mr. Li Zhongyuan was arrested the night of August 12, 2007, when he distributed truth clarification materials. He is being held at the Tiexi Detention Center.
19. [Ling County, Shandong Province] Practitioners Sun Jiping and Zhu Xiuying Arrested
Police broke into the homes of Mr. Sun Jiping and Ms. Zhu Xiuyin in Huiwang Township, Ling County, the morning of August 13, 2007. They confiscated some Dafa books and put the two practitioners into the county's detention center.

20. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Jiang Chunxiang Sentenced to Forced Labor
Personnel from the Shouguang City 610 Office arrested Ms. Jiang Chunxiang from Luocheng Street, Yujia Village. Ms. Jiang's family went to visit her several times, but they were never allowed to see her. The family was informed on July 14, 2007, that Ms. Jiang had been transferred to the Zibo City Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for a year's term. Ms. Jiang's paralyzed 80-year-old father and school-aged son are now without anyone to care for them.
Practitioner Ms. Chen Xiuyun, 60 years old, from Qijia Village, Jitai Town, Shouguang City, was sentenced to one year of forced labor.
Practitioner Ms. Sun Delian from the Zhaoxiang Community in Shouguang City was sentenced to one year of forced labor on August 2, 2007. Practitioner Ms. Li Hui'e from Hou Town, Shouguang City, is presently being held at the city's detention center.

Police arrested Ms. Sun Jiping and Ms. Zhu Xiuying from Bian Town, Ling County, Dezhou City, on August 13, 2007, when the two were working in their farm field.

23. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Zhou Yucheng Arrested
Mr. Zhou Yucheng is from Nanjiantou Village, Laishui Town, Laishui County. Personnel from the Shiting Town Police Department in Laishui County arrested him on his way to Beijing on July 30, 2007. Police searched him and confiscated a recorder, an MP3 player, and some Dafa materials. Mr. Zhou was taken to the county's police department, followed by incarceration in the county's detention center. Police broke into his home that day and ransacked the place. Mr. Zhou has blood in his urine and is in critical condition.
24. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Xiao Ru Arrested
Ms. Xiao Ru from Shimenzhuang Village, Hekou Township, Shuping County, Baoding City, was arrested the night of August 18, 2007, as she distributed truth-clarifying materials. Her whereabouts are unknown.
25. [Shandong Province] Recent Information on Ms. Zhang Baoling
Practitioner Ms. Zhang Baoling is a retired employee from the Shengli Oil Extraction Factory in the Shengli Oil Field. She was arrested from her home and taken to the factory's brainwashing center on July 14, 2007. Ms. Zhang was locked in a small room and forced to write a daily "thought report."
26. [Cang County, Hebei Province] Police Arrested Several Practitioners in Beige Village
Personnel from the Litianmu Township Police Station in Cang County searched practitioners' homes door by door the morning of August 14, 2007. Village head Li Jinrui and Security Section chief Liu Shijiang arrived with other policemen. They ransacked the homes of practitioners Mr. Liang Moyuan, Ms. Teng Yumei, and Ms. Ma Yongxiu on August 16, 2007. Ms. Teng's seven-year-old grandson was badly frightened.
27. [Lianyunguang City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Du Xiuju Sent to a Brainwashing Center after Three Years in a Prison
Ms. Du Xiuju from Lianyunguang City was sentenced to three years in the Nanjing City Women's Prison. Her prison term expired on August 17, 2007, but personnel from the local 610 Office transferred her into the Taizhou City Brainwashing Center.

29. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Practitioner Chang Luyu Held at a Detention Center
Ms. Chang Luyu, 44 years old, is from Xingjiaman Village, Yaocun Town, Linzhou City. The village head reported her, which led to her arrest on July 27, 2007. She is presently being held at the city's detention center and has been sentenced to two years in prison.

30. [Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Practitioner Luo Chunxian Arrested
Ms. Luo Chunxian, 70 years old, is an associate professor in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Industry Institute. Police arrested her in June 2007. Local police plotted to sentence her to imprisonment. Her 70-year-old husband is now alone and without care.

31. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Several Practitioners Persecuted
Several practitioners in Chenzhou City have been harassed since July 10, 2007. Practitioners Ms. Zhou Lijuan, Ms. Xiao Guijiao, and Ms. Huang Bailan were released after 15 days of detention. Practitioner Ms. Guo Boqin is presently being held at a detention center. Mr. Liao Jiangcheng was sentenced to one year of forced labor. He is presently being held at the Xinkaipu Forced Labor Camp.
32. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] The Persecution of Ms. Han Xiuzhen
Practitioner Ms. Han Xiuzhen, 77 years old, lives in Room 5-1, Building No. 2 in the Wuwei City Party Committee Residential Community. She had been arrested several times and was sentenced to five and a half years in prison on April 19, 2007.

34. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhang Qinying and Ms. Liao Deying from Miyi County, Panzhihua City, were arrested on August 17, 2007, for installing a satellite dish to receive New Tang Dynasty Station TV programs.
35. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Huang Zhengquan and his wife from Ziyang City were arrested and their home was ransacked at 4:00 p.m. on August 17, 2007. Ms. Deng Liangqun and 70-year-old Ms. Liu Shufen are arrested at 11:00 p.m. on August 18, 2007. Police ransacked a woman practitioner's home, but failed to arrest her because of her family's resistance.
36. [Guanghan City, Guangdong Province] The Persecution of Several Practitioners
Personnel from the Xinping Town Police Station arrested practitioners Mr. Zhang Bangde, Ms. Lu Zuotai, Ms. Li Yuzhen, Ms. Li Linxiu, Ms. Gao Youfang, and Ms. Hou Hanxiang the morning of August 2, 2007, as they drank tea in a tea shop. They took the practitioners to the town's police department and forced them to stand in the hot sun. Mr. Zhang, Ms. Li Yuzhen and Ms. Li Linxiu were released later, but personnel from the town government often harassed them.
Personnel from the Nanxing Town Police Station took Ms. Hou Hanxiang back to the police station and brutally beat her. They fingerprinted her under duress and then released her at 3:00 p.m. that day.
Four officers including Qiu Xingliu from the Lianshan Town Police Station harassed practitioners Ms. Cao Xiaolan, Ms. Li Zhonghua, and Ms. Zhang Zhaohui at their homes at 9:00 p.m. on August 7, 2007. They confiscated some Dafa books and Falun Gong exercise tapes.

Mr. Gao Mingxing was arrested on August 1, 2007, when he went to visit practitioner Mr. Chen Shang from the No. 8 Group, Liangzihe Village, Shalizai Town, Dandong City. Police arrested Mr. Chen Shang and his wife at 11:00 a.m. on August 1, 2007.
They ransacked Mr. Gao's home in Liaozhong City on August 5, 2007. Police also arrested Mr. Ma Jiangyuan on August 1, 2007.

39. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Zhou Yanwen was arrested and held at the Tai'an City Detention Center. Ms. Zhang Liping, Ms. Zhou Min, Ms. Liu Qing, and a practitioner surnamed Wang were arrested and held at the city's detention center. Ms. Liu Qing has been held for a month.
40. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Pei Yuzhen Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Pei Yuzhen, 70 years old, is employed by the Daqing City No. 6 Oil Extraction Factory. Police arrested her and ransacked her home on August 14, 2007. Ms. Pei is presently being held at the city's detention center.
41. [Zhijiang County, Hunan Province] Practitioner Lei Jianli Arrested
Personnel from the local 610 Office arrested Ms. Lei Jianli from her workplace at the Zhijiang County Kindergarten. She is presently being held at the county's detention center. Ms. Lei's practitioner parents are teachers. Her father was sentenced to forced labor.
