1. [Henan Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Li Jingzhi Is Tortured Almost to Death at the Xinxiang City Women's Prison
Former Yinzhuang Village party secretary Yin Xincheng reported 30-year-old practitioner Ms. Li Jingzhi on August 18, 2006. Personnel from the Xihuaying Township Police Station arrested her. The arrest took place when she was clarifying the truth at Yinzhuang Village, Xihuaying Township, Xihua County. Police sent her to the Xihua County Detention Center.
Xihua County Court agents sentenced Ms. Li to three years of imprisonment and put her into the Xinxiang City Women's Prison. Someone visited her and saw her severely swollen face. She was bruised and also had difficulty standing.
She has been on a hunger strike for a few days. Guards had to carry her out when her family visited her. She could hardly breathe and appeared to be dying.
2. [Shandong Province] Deplorable Crimes at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp
I was held in the Shandong Province Wangcun Forced Labor Camp's No. 1 Division for a year. While I was there I was forced to work daily from 5:30 a.m. to midnight. I had only a few minutes to eat. If I could not finish the heavy work guards abused me. Those determined practitioners were often fixed to a metal window frame and deprived of drinking water, food, and sleep. If there was not much work, practitioners had to attend meetings or watch TV programs which were full of Party propaganda.
Practitioner Ms. Qi Guiyu from Changyi City in Weifang was sentenced to two years of forced labor in the autumn of 2005. Her home was ransacked several times after the persecution began on July 20, 1999. The police once climbed over her yard wall and confiscated all valuable possessions from her home. They often beat her brutally until she lost consciousness. Sometime they hung her up and also forbade her from eating. They forced her once sit on a small stool. One policeman pushed her from behind, and two others stuck an electric baton into her mouth, which damaged her teeth severely. They kept torturing her this way until she was in a coma.
3. [Heilongjiang Province] A Practitioner Surnamed Yu from the Scientific Agriculture Institute Arrested
A practitioner surnamed Yu, who is an employee of the Heilongjiang Province Scientific Agriculture Institute, was arrested in October 2006. He/she is presently being held at the Suihua City Dabei Prison.
4. [Beijing] Practitioner Chen Jianhua Arrested and Home Ransacked
Police arrested 30-year-old practitioner Ms. Chen Jianhua from the Taipingqiao Dongli Community's barbershop in the Fengtai District, Bejing, at noon on April 30, 2007. Ms. Chen's whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Sun Guirong Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
Officers Ma Shengchao, Li Zubao and Liu Fengwei from the Qianguo County Balang Township Police Station broke into practitioner Ms. Sun Guirong's home in Mujia Village, Balang Township, on April 9, 2007. They ransacked her home and storehouse. They only found one of Master's pictures. She happened to return home during the search. Police arrested her and told her family she would only be held for 15 days. She was not released after the 15 days of detention. Instead, the family was informed by a call from the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp's No. 2 Division that Ms. Sun had been sentenced to one year of forced labor.

6. [Zhejiang Province] Practitioner Ye Liqin Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Ye Liqin from Badu Town, Longquan City in Zhejiang Province is still being held at the city's detention center. The two other practitioners arrested with her have been released.

7. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Seventeen Practitioners Arrested
Police arrested 15 practitioners from Fuxin City when they were in Anshan City on May 5, 2007. Two older women in their 70s were released right away.
Practitioner Ms. An Zhiru and one other were arrested from their homes on the evening of May 6, 2007. Police from Anshan City transferred them to the Fuxin District Police Department on May 7, 2007.

8. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Persecution of Practitioner Gui Fenxiu
Ms. Gui Fenxiu from Qidong County, Hunan Province, was released on May 2, 2007. The policeman who arrested her is named Wen Guohua. The police ordered her to pay an "accommodation fee" when they released her. Ms. Gui found her home had been ransacked. Officers absconded with 3,000 yuan from her place.
9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Jiang Lijuan
Officers Xu Xiaobo and Li Hongjun from the Changchun City Dongzhan Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Jiang Lijuan and ransacked her home at 3:00 p.m. on May 7, 2007. They also arrested practitioner Mr. Wu Jun.

10. [Wugong County, Shannxi Province] Practitioner Wang Pingjian Arrested
Personnel from the Shannxi Province Wugong County Police Department, from the 610 Office, and from the National Security Division arrested practitioner Mr. Wang Pingjian from Yilao Village at 6:00 p.m. on May 2, 2007.
All the officers were in plainclothes. They waited outside Mr. Wang's home in hiding. As soon as he stepped out of his home they came at him and put him into a black vehicle. Other policemen got into other three cars and drove away.
Mr. Wang was sentenced and imprisoned. Prior to this arrest he had worked in another city. He had just returned home and he was arrested the next day.
11. [Shandong Province] Practitioner Liu Youguo Arrested in Zhaoyuan City
Practitioner Mr. Liu Youguo, about 30 years old, from a city other than Zhaoyuan
City, runs a shoe store in the Jiankang District, Zhaoyuan City. A group of
police officers suddenly rushed into Mr. Liu's store at 4:30 p.m. on May 8,
2007. They beat him and then pulled him into a police vehicle.

13. [Yongtai County, Fujian Province] Practitioner Jiang Yanmei Arrested and
Home Ransacked
Personnel from the Fuzhou City and Yongtai County 610 Offices colluded with
special agents from the National Security Division and from the police
department. They broke into the home of practitioner Ms. Jiang Yanmei in Yongtai
County at 1:00 a.m. on April 27, 2007. Though Ms. Jiang was not at home, police
still ransacked the place until 4:00 a.m. They confiscated a computer, some
other equipment and Dafa books and materials.
Police forced her family to call Ms. Jiang and attempted to entice her back to Yongtai County. When the family called her, 610 Office personnel had special agents from the National Security Division tap the phone call. Thus, they discovered that Ms. Jiang was at Dalijiacheng Hall in Fuzhou City. They sent several plainclothes agents there and arrested her at 2:00 p.m. on April 27, 2007. She is presently being held at the Yongtai County Detention Center.
14. [Chongqing] Practitioner Ding Hongmei Facing Illegal Trial - Others
Arrested
Police arrested practitioners Ms. Zhang Hua, Ms. Ding Hongmei, and Ms. Fu
Rufen from Tongnan County, Chongqing, when they were clarifying the facts of
Falun Gong in Xiadu Town, Tongnan County. Ms. Ding has been held at the county's
detention center. She was to face a trial the morning of May 9, 2007.
15. [ Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Jiao Xuemei Transferred from a
Custody Center to the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center on May 5, 2007
16. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Deplorable Crimes at the Jinzhou
City Forced Labor Camp No. 2 Division
Practitioner Mr. Li Lianjun is presently being held at the Jinzhou City Forced
Labor Camp's No. 2 Division. Guards incited prisoners to grab his arms and
tighten his mouth with a specially designed torture instrument (similar to a
tongue depressor, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily for a month. This torture
loosened Mr. Li Lianjun's teeth. He can only chew with his molars. Mr. Li is
still being held separately.
Camp personnel body-searched those family members who visited practitioners. If
they found one of Master's writings they extended the practitioner's detention
term by one month. Camp officials also forbade practitioners' outdoor
activities.

18. [Changji City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Six Sentenced Practitioners
Have Appealed
Six practitioners have appealed after their verdicts were announced in early
April 2007. The six practitioners are Ms. Zhang Yanping, Ms. Zhang Yanyun, Ms.
Zhang Yanlin, Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen, Ms. Zhao Xuemei, and Ms. Yu Yuejuan.
19. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Xiong Hanlian Arrested
Ms. Xiong Hanlian lives on Yangyuan Street. At 5:00 p.m. on March 23, 2007, Yangyuan Street 610 Office head Yang Huaiyi led several policemen to Ms. Xiong's home while she ate dinner. They arrested her and put her into the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center. She has been on a hunger strike for many days.
Ms. Xiong had already been arrested on March 24, 2006, when she was distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials around Yangyuan Street. She was sent to the Wuhan City Hewan Drug Abstention Center for one year of forced labor. Soon after her release she was re-arrested and sent to the brainwashing center.
20. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Gong Shuying Sentenced to Forced Labor
Ms. Gong Shuying from Changchun City is 58 years old. Policeman Ye Bianjun from the Mengjiatun Police Precinct arrested her on the morning of March 14, 2007, and then sentenced her to one year of forced labor. She is presently being held at the Jilin Province Women's Forced Labor Camp No. 6 Division.
21. [Xishui City, Hubei Province] Supplemental, Corrected Information Regarding the Arrest of Practitioner Yang Shufen
Personnel from the Shuguang Police Station in the Hongshan District, Wuhan City, colluded with policemen Xu Xiujin, Xie Shenghuo, and some others from Xishui City to arrest exiled practitioner Ms. Yang Shufen on the night of April 30, 2007. She is presently being held at the Xishui City No. 1 Detention Center.
22. [Hubei Province] Police from the Xishui City No. 1 Detention Center Extort Almost 10,000 Yuan from Zhong Changkui's Family
Practitioner Mr. Zhong Changkui's brother went to the No. 1 Detention Center to visit Mr. Zhong last year. He handed 3,000 yuan to a policeman who claimed he was in charge of Mr. Zhong's case. The policeman did not issue a receipt. The next time, Mr. Zhong's brother gave another policeman 3,000 yuan and also did not receive a receipt. Later, Mr. Zhong's family handed in another 6,000 yuan without receiving a receipt. The family had hoped the policemen would treat Mr. Zhong well after receiving so much money. Not so! When the family finally met with Mr. Zhong he told them that the policemen would not even give him an additional steamed bun. The police eventually sent Mr. Zhong to a forced labor camp. His brother was very angry and went to the detention center to ask for his money back. The police returned nothing and even ruthlessly beat him!
