(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Guan Zhenyou, 40, is the chief pharmacologist in the pharmacy of a hospital in Chengde City. In May 2001, he was arrested at the Chengde Train Station by police from the 610 Office of Chengde City and the train station. He was sent to the Chengde Detention Center and was solitarily interrogated. He was mistreated with all kind of tortures. Later, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison. At present, he is still detained in the Fifth Prison of Changde City. He was tortured in isolation by the Investigation Division.
The guards burned Mr. Guan Zhenyou's nostril with a cigarette butt, thrust a toothbrush with ethanol into his mouth, and cuffed him to a sofa and dragged him back and forth. Kicking and beating are the most common torture methods. He was deprived of sleep for six days. He was hung up and beaten. He was tortured so badly that his legs were swollen and he lost consciousness. Even so, the head of the 610 Office Yang Shuzeng still roared, "In their case, we must torture them even harder!" Later, Mr. Guan Zhenyou was unlawfully sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment. He was at first detained in the Fourth Prison of Baoding City, Hebei Province.
In February 2004, he was transferred to the Fifth Prison of Chengde City (where Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Ding Yan was cruelly tortured to death).
On March 15, 2007, when guards inspected the prison cells, they found a MP3 recording of Teacher's Fa-lecture. His routine visit on March 20 was canceled. According to people familiar with the case, Mr. Guan Zhenyou has been transferred to the Investigation Division for torture during isolation. He was punished and tortured by so-called "assisted teaching" (former practitioners who have been "transformed" work to brainwash practitioners resolute in their beliefs)
