(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Cultural Freedom Movement held its "2007 Special Spiritual Faith Award" Ceremony on April 8, 2007 at the Aotea Center in Auckland. The organization's founder, Dr. Yuan Hongbing, said that this is the first time that China's free intellectuals, in the name of a social historical movement, have raised a protest against the Chinese Communist Party's despotic rule for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, and meanwhile, they also expressed their respect for the Falun Gong group. They hoped to do something to save the conscience of Chinese intellectuals through the award ceremony.

The persecution is heading for its ultimate defeat

A member of the Coordination Committee of the Chinese Culture Freedom Movement. Zhong Weiguang. hosted the award ceremony. Yuan Hongbing made a speech on behalf of the judge's committee of the organization. He said that from the end of the last century to the present, in the vast land of China, there has been taking place the most serious human rights disaster in the contemporary world: the political persecution campaign carried out by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP)despotic rule against Falun Gong spiritual cultivators. The political persecution campaign has deeply hurt human being's conscience. He also said that the CCP's despotic rule has mobilized the entire nation's violent machinery, and brought state terrorism into full play, attempting to destroy Falun Gong spiritual cultivators' belief. But as of today, history has told us that the CCP's despotic rule is defeated, and is heading for its ultimate failure.

Yuan Hongbing noted that Falun Gong spiritual cultivators have resisted the tyranny in a peaceful and brave manner, and are gaining historical respect. He also said that in the face of the CCP's tyranny, which is even more vicious than the Nazis, the Falun Gong spiritual cultivators have protected their right of belief with a persevering, strong will. They have proven a truth: brute force is unable to conquer spiritual belief.

Supporting Falun Gong is making a historical choice

A spokesperson for Falun Gong, Zhang Erping, accepted the award on behalf of Falun Gong practitioners , and presented to the organization a plaque with calligraphy by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, which read, "Reviving China's Divine-Inspired Culture."

Zhang Erping said in his speech that he was pleased to learn that numerous descendants of Yan and Huang Emperors inside China and abroad have been actively participating in reviving Chinese culture, and eliminating the CCP's party culture. Chinese civilization originated from a Divinely-inspired culture, but unfortunately has been subjected to the CCP's suppression. The communist theory that advocates violence and lies, and has been spurned by the Western civilization, is like a specter hovering above the vast land of China, and strictly and violently controlling every living being.

The appearance of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Part y"and the grand trend of quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations have uprooted the CCP's foundation. Every Chinese person's recognition of traditional culture, including the efforts made by the Chinese Cultural Freedom Movement for reviving Chinese culture, have been powerfully disintegrating the CCP, and helping people get free from its control over their bodies and minds. This is truly a campaign that vigorously develops China, and recovers the national spirit.

Zhang Erping also said that people's support for Falun Gong in different ways, is not only support in a general sense and a moral support, but is people making a historical choice.

The first award of Chinese civilians and intellectuals

Zhong Weiguang said when issuing the award to Zhang Erping that he was very emotional, and he must try very hard to hold back his emotions. He had a lofty esteem for Falun Gong group, and he felt honored for receiving the plaque with calligraphy from Mr. Li Hongzhi.

Zhong Weiguang said, "Actually. We should have stepped forward at the beginning when Falun Gong was suppressed."

Zhong Weiguang also said that as an intellectual, or as a self-recognized Chinese intellectual with a social conscience, he felt grateful that they could step forward at this moment to issue this award and make their voice heard.

The world needs "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance"

A member of the Coordination Committee of the Chinese Cultural Freedom Movement, Fei Liangyong, said in his speech that the CCP claimed it would eradicate Falun Gong within three months, but nearly eight years have passed, and "under the CCP's brutal persecution, Falun Gong has achieved greater development. This is a miracle! A Falun miracle! There are millions of people in China practicing Falun Gong, and in different places around the world, people can see many Falun Gong cultivators of different races speaking different languages. In particular, since Falun Gong was subjected to a large-scale suppression, Falun Gong practitioners overseas have been increasing at twice the speed. This shows that Falun Gong belongs to not only China, but also to the world. China needs 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,' the world also needs 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.'"

Fei Liangyong also said that the "Three Withdrawals" (refers to quitting the CCP Party member, Youth League, and Young Pioneers) launched by Falun Gong, put the CCP into a severe crisis of belief, organization and power, by urging the Chinese people to increasingly awaken, walk out of fear and break away from the CCP. As of today, more than 20 million people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. If the Three Withdrawals continue, it will definitely lead to the collapse of the CCP.

Fei Liangyong said, "Today, the Chinese Cultural Freedom Movement issues an award to Falun Gong. It is not only an award, this shows the Chinese Culture Freedom Movement's respect and support for Falun Gong cultivators!"

Another member of Coordination Committee of the organization, Liu Yang, said that he sympathized with Falun Gong, because facing the entire moral degeneration in China's society, all descendants of the Yan and Huang Emperors should be deeply worried. Falun Gong follows "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," which is conducive for Chinese people to uplift their moral standards.

He also said that the Falun Gong practitioners he has contacted with are all honest and kind people. Falun Gong practitioners have indeed made contributions to China's progress. For example, technique that breaks through the CCP's internet blockade have been created by Falun Gong practitioners. This is something of boundless beneficence.

Yuan Hongbing announced on behalf of the judge's committee, in order to commend Falun Gong spiritual cultivators for their great contribution to safeguarding human beings' rights of spiritual faith and freedom, and in order to express our respect for Falun Gong spiritual cultivators for their fearless spirit demonstrated in their resistance to the tyranny, the judge's committee decided to issue the Chinese Cultural Freedom Movement 2007 Special Spiritual Faith Award to the Falun Gong spiritual cultivators' group, and a check for $50,000. The coordinator of the New Zealand Falun Dafa Association, Fang Sanyue, accepted the check as a representative of Falun Gong practitioners.

Tainan: The Divine Performing Arts' Elegant Grace Once Again Amazed the Audience (Photos)

The Divine Performing Arts showcased the authentic cultural arts of pure compassion and beauty, striking a strong emotional chord with people in Tainan, the cultural capital of Taiwan. Guests from all social circles expressed the same feeling that this "rich feast for the soul" was an extremely pleasant surprise. Spreading Chinese divinely-inspiring culture that places a high priority on kindness and compassion not only touched the depths of the hearts of audience members but also moved many audience members to tears. He said, "Honestly speaking, I did not expect [the performance] to be of such high caliber. It was a bit of a pleasant surprise to me. (The performance) not only promoted Chinese culture, the most important point was that it integrated art and human culture. It was not simple singing and dancing, but it contained peaceful thinking. I must say I was very moved and surprised! Such a presentation is not easy. It made me want to see it again and again. I feel it was too short. Couldn't it be a little longer? Tainan City Education Bureau Director: The Divine Performing Arts deserves its reputation

Tainan City Education Bureau Director Wang Hsui-wen complimented the performance, saying that it was a very good approach to showcase 5,000 years of authentic culture in the form of art. Speaking as an educator of children, he said that utilizing art forms to assist children to subtly correct their incorrect notions makes it easy for them to accept.

He commended the Divine Performing Arts for deserving it renowned reputation. "The performance was spectacular and of high quality. There were so many audience members! It showed that they really responded to the Divine Performing Arts performances.

City Councilor Lee Jian-ping: Seems to come from the Heavens

Tainan City Councilor Lee Jian-ping and his wife attended the performance. Mr. Lee paid the US Divine Performing Arts' [performance] quite a compliment: "It seems to come from the Heavens, very touching." Mr. Lee said he particularly liked the song sung by alto Yang Jiangsheng, "Tiananmen Square, Please Listen to Me." He also said he has many friends practicing Falun Gong. They are very kind and friendly. He felt the song represents the voice of Chinese people.

Tainan County Councilor Lin Feng-chun said that, from the very first presentation, "Creation," he felt a newborn strength and a future full of hope and brightness that God brings to human beings. "The Divine Performing Arts performance was majestic and resplendent. They put in a great deal of emphasis on promoting traditional Chinese culture. In Mainland China, due to the long-term influence of the Chinese Communist Party's atheism, Chinese culture has been completely destroyed. Today's creative performance showcased the inherent culture in China. Taiwan has also preserved authentic culture. Veteran music educator Shao Yi-chiang, who specializes in Western classical music education, said that the Divine Performing Arts' production was of high caliber, "exciting and moving, indeed, amazing as a whole." He felt the subject matter of "To the Rightful Place" was very special. It could be seen that its message was "good will be rewarded, and evil will meet with retribution." Hsao Yi-chiang affirmed that such a performance can enrich people's minds, enable them to be more serene, and is very important in modern society. He said that we actually need healthy performances with such lofty characteristics, and that such music and dance can make people kinder, and society warmer.

(Clearwisdom.net) International renowned artist of ink and wash painting, Li Chi-mao, is also a specialist on antiques, calligraphy and painting auctions, and appraisals. Mr. Li said, "I taught in the Taiwan Art School from 1950 to 1990. Many art troupes have contacted me. The performance of the Divine Performing Arts is the best I have seen in 60 years, because the content of the performance presented Chinese philosophy and the harmony between the heavens and humans.

Mr. Li shared his view on the performance from different points of view. He said, "Some [performances] stress religion, some Confucianism, and some Daoism. But the Divine Performing Arts comprehensively includes all systems in the culture. From an artistic point of view, it reaches the realm of 'Truth-Compassion-Tolerance.' The performance includes songs, music, and drama, including all the Chinese moral elements of 'loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, love, faith, righteousness, kindness, and peace. It has rich connotations and causes people to think. Children don't like to listen to stories about Chinese ancient morality, but they absorb it after watching the performance. Adults and children all like to watch the show. Who made it? Very wise. I admire it."

He said, "The dancing is very beautiful. Given my teaching experience in art school, I have seen many good dancing programs. But the dancers of the Divine Performing Arts, no matter man or woman, all are very committed, that is, their facial expressions, dancing and the music are all well-integrated. This is hard to do. Dancing competitions are often held in Taiwan. I am generally the head judge, so I looked carefully. I saw that the members of the Divine Performing Arts danced following the music well, and the meaning of the lyrics and facial expressions coordinated well to express the meaningful connotations. It is hard to do that."

He continued, "In addition, the dramas like Yue Fei and Mulan have not been performed in Taiwan since 1945. It is hard to imagine that such dramas are being shown in today's world. Children should see them to understand the meanings. The dramas presented Chinese traditional culture, which is great, and showed well the peaceful nature. Other performance troupes generally focus on a single aspect. The Divine Performing Arts included music, drama, poems, dancing, and painting. It is hard to do all of that."

Mr. Li is also professor of the Art Institute, Taiwan Art School. He said, "We enjoyed such a high level cultural show. We should also ask the next generation to experience it. Such dramas need to be passed down. It is wonderful. The performance should be recorded onto CDs for people to watch again and again. Everyone in all cultural centers in Taiwan can watch, learn, and understand the show."

He continued, "I have gone everywhere an airplane can go, from Europe to the US, from Russia, to the Ukraine and Pakistan. Others told me I would regret it if I did not attend this performance. It is true. I postponed other activities to see this performance."

Mr. Li said, "For moral improvement, many people say things but do not follow up in practicing them. But you are practicing actively without government motivation. The performance of this group cleans the heart and mind. Everyone who comes has his heart and mind cleaned."

To Mr. Zhu, the way that the performance portrayed traditional Chinese culture through art was very impressive.

He said that the principle "Truthfulness" can help people to communicate with gods and that people must watch with their hearts so that they can appreciate the profound content. He noticed that the performers completely devoted themselves to their performances and collaborated with each other very well. "The Erhu performance completely expressed the heart of the artist."

"Dance in the West and dance in the East are different," he continued. Eastern dance reveals one's heart and the artists try to communicate with gods through dance." Mr. Zhu said that the dance "Rainbow" brought both performers and audience to the heavens and made audience feel that they, too, were dancing in the clouds

Mr. Zhu was very impressed by the selections "Mulan" and "The Loyalty of Yue Fei." He was moved to tears by the spirit in the dance "The Loyalty of Yue Fei." He emphasized that Chinese people should be proud of their 5000-year-long traditional culture, and try to spread and promote it.

Mr. Lin Bingbin: Wash one's heart with culture

Mr. Lin Bingbin, the president of the Association of Small Enterprise in Taiwan, and his wife saw the show. He said that the show manifested the profound Chinese culture. In modern society, people need wash their hearts with culture so that they will not get lost in their personal interests. He said that the show is very positive.

Mr. Lin was impressed by the dance "The Loyalty of Yue Fei." He was amazed that the historic story could be expressed by a dance and that it touched so many people.

He said that in the modern society, many people are lost in the pursuit of money and fame. The show washes people's hearts with culture and historic stories, which is very positive for society.

What surprised Mr. Lin was that all the performers were Chinese born in America. "It is really amazing that the young performers understand the profound content of the Chinese culture and could express it through dance." He was very happy to come to the show with his wife, and he hoped that more people would have chances to enjoy it.

Ms. Lai Suru, the Parliament Member of the Taipei City Council, came to the show. She said that it was great that the overseas Chinese performers were making such an effort to spread the Chinese culture.

Ms. Lai is a lawyer. She said that it is remarkable that the performers were able to present the long history and traditional culture of China through their wonderful performing.

Her favorites were the "Mongolian Bowl Dance" and the dance "Creation." She was wondering if the bowls were glued to performers' heads, and later she realized that those are real bowls and were not glued to their heads.

She admired the group's contribution to spreading the Chinese culture. She hoped that people in Taiwan would value the traditional Chinese culture more.

Mr. Lu Dacheng is the chair of the Department of Religion at Furen University. He read many reports about the show before he came to see it. He said, "The performance level of the show is superb." He watched the third show in Taipei and said that the dance "Creation" awakened a memory in deep his heart.

He said that the show was very creative. He was amazed that the performers, who grew up in America, had such good understandings of the Chinese culture and was impressed by the dances that portrayed patriotic spirit, such as "The Loyalty of Yue Fei."

The first dance, "Creation," moved many people, including Mr. Lu. He said, "The dance awakened strong feelings in my heart."

The dance "To the Rightful Place" exposed the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Lu said, "My family members are Catholic. Two brothers of mine were jailed by the CCP for 20 years. My uncle was jailed for nine years and died in the prison. Although it happened in 1950's, it still hurts.

If you have a belief or opinion different from the CCP, it will persecute you. The persecution of Falun Gong is very brutal. I know about it and am very concerned about it."

He added, "The principle of 'Good is rewarded with good, and evils are met with retribution' represented by the dance is very true. The CCP will be punished. This is my hope. I believe that all the efforts of Falun Gong practitioners will not be in vain."

Mr. Lu said that the music, dance, stage design, costume, lights, and dances of the show were of a very high level, and he appreciated being able to see it.

Mr. Shen Chingkuang, the CEO of Jinghua Company, a famous department store in Taiwan, came to the show with his wife and 93-year-old mother. Ms. Shen told the reporter that she has been to many countries and seen numerous shows, and she said the Divine Performing Arts was the best because they performed from their hearts.

Mr. Shen Chingkuang's wife didn't know very much about the Divine Performing Arts. After the show, she realized that they try to spread and promote Chinese culture through dance and music. She was very touched by their efforts. She said that the performances have had a very positive influence on modern Taiwan society.

Her favorite was the dance "Creation." She said that she felt the benevolence of the Buddha through the dance. The "Resounding Drums" was very energetic and encouraging, too.

Mr. Shen Chingkuang said, "The show not only portrays Chinese culture but also brings peacefulness and benevolence to the audience, which makes me very comfortable."

He said that the show presents traditional Chinese culture in a way that everybody can understand. He said it reminded him of his own education when he was young and that every educated person in Taiwan is familiar with the content of the show.

He said that it is very moving that the Chinese people born in America are trying to spread and promote traditional Chinese culture.

Czech Republic: Touring the Cities of Moravia (Photos) (Part 3)

(Clearwisdom.net) Czech Falun Dafa practitioners organized a week-long tour around the cities of central Moravia so that the people there could learn more about the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. The persecution has already lasted eight years, and over 3,000 practitioners have had their lives taken by the Chinese communist regime.

On Thursday, March 22, the fourth day of their Moravian tour, the practitioners arrived in Zlín and told local people about crimes against humanity happening in China. Many people were not aware that over 3,000 innocent people have lost their lives just because they practice this peaceful meditation system and live their lives by the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance." They did not know that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has waged a vicious persecution against the 100 million Falun Gong practitioners in China and that hundreds of thousands have suffered abuse, illegal imprisonment, or torture for upholding their beliefs.

The practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and handed out leaflets to passers-by

The practitioners adopted various methods to help people understand Falun Gong and stand on the side of justice against the human rights abuses inflicted on practitioners in China: they manufactured several banners showing torture methods used in Chinese prisons, they handed out leaflets, and they talked to passers-by. They also performed the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, which showed the contrast between the peaceful nature of the Falun Dafa practice and the horrors of the persecution.

Around 200 people signed a petition calling for an immediate end to the organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in China

People who passed by the activity that day heard about Falun Dafa practitioners being tortured and murdered in China. Most of them were shocked. About 200 citizens of Zlin signed their names on the petition, and there were many who expressed their concern and their support for practitioners in China.

Organ Harvesting from Falun Gong Practitioners in China

Taiwan: Vice-president Lu Hsiu-Lien Condemns the CCP's Live Organ Harvesting (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Vice-president of Taiwan Lu Hsiu-Lien attended a gathering of the media in the Chiayi area on the afternoon of April 8, 2007. She called on people not to randomly go to Mainland China for organ transplants. She said, "Those organs are all taken from living people against their will."

Vice-president Lu answered the questions raised by a reporter from the New Tang Dynasty Asia-Pacific Branch at the gathering. She said she had read Canada's independent investigative report. She said, "The investigative report written by the Canadian MP and human rights lawyer shockingly found out that live organ harvesting has been taking place over the several past years in mainland areas. The CCP lied, saying that the organs for transplantation were from all executed prisoners. People from Taiwan, Japan and Southeast Asia went to China for organ transplants but never thought about where the organs were from."

Lu Hsiu-Lien continued, "According to the investigative report, there were only over 1,000 death penalty prisoners per year in China, but there were over 60,000 cases of organ transplants during these same years." She said in a sorrowful tone, "Where did so many organs come from? It is really horrible to contemplate. Reliable sources say that those organs were from illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners who were woken up late at night and had their organs harvested."

The information shows that the US Senate and international media started reporting on the incidents of the CCP illegally harvesting organs from prisoners in China's prisons and forced labor camps in 1994. In March 2006, the media exposed that the CCP had built secret concentration camps to illegally detain Falun Gong practitioners and harvest their organs for sale, then cremating the victims' remains to destroy the evidence. The incident shocked and enraged people from all circles overseas. Canadian independent investigators David Matas and David Kilgour released their investigative report on July 6, 2006, entitled, "Report Into Allegations of Organs Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China." They published the revised version of their report on January 31, 2007, entitled, "Bloody Harvest: Revised Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China." They collected even more hard evidence confirming that the CCP harvests organs from living practitioners. Their report once again verified the CCP's inhuman atrocities.

Vice-president Lu Hsiu-Lien stated that there is no difference in nationalities with regard to safeguarding human rights. The live organ harvesting happening in Mainland China has really opened up the human rights issue. She hoped, through the media, to alert people not to go to the Mainland for organ transplants. She said, "If you carry an organ that was taken from a living, unwilling donor, you'll never feel comfortable the rest of your life."

Austrian and Hungarian Media Report on New Evidence of the CCP's Harvesting Organs from Living Falun Gong Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 2, 2007, by invitation of Austria's International Society for Human Rights and the Hungarian Amnesty International, Canadian human rights lawyer Mr. David Matas attended a press conference at the Hungarian Reporters Association in Budapest to disclose new-found evidence in the report written together with co-investigator Mr. David Kilgour about the Chinese Communist Party's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Many media from Austria and Hungary wrote reports on this afterwards.

Austria's mainstream media: International Society for Human Rights accuses the CCP of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners; Human Rights lawyer Mr. Matas reminds people about the Nazi propaganda

The Austrian Press Association, Austria's newspaper Der Standard and Die Presse reported on Matas in Budapest providing new evidence of China's organs trade.

Der Standard reported: Canadian Human Rights lawyer David Matas said in Budapest, "If you want to go to China for an organ transplant operation, someone will be killed so that you will be kept alive." He was talking about a report on the CCP's removal of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, written together with co-investigator Mr. Kilgour, called "The Bloody Organ Harvest".

The report quotes relevant statements by human rights organizations. Katharina Grieb, the chairwoman of the International Society for Human Rights in Austria said, "This report reveals the most evil practice in human history, and that China is the world's biggest concentration camp." The chairman for Amnesty International in Hungary, Mr. Mark Fodor said, "The labour camps where Falun Gong practitioners are being detained use the cruellest and most inhumane torture methods that we can imagine."

Matas pointed out that the propaganda used by the CCP since 1999 to persecute Falun Gong is similar in many ways to the propaganda of Nazi Germany. As a renowned lawyer of victims of the Holocaust, Matas thinks that the CCP methods are extremely similar to those of the Nazis. After a group of people have been systematically branded with the label of "enemy", they can then justify a new form of violent suppression and make it appear "reasonable".

Half a year after the publication of the investigation report, it was revised with addition of new evidence, records of phone calls to hospitals in China, statistics from the websites of Chinese hospitals as well as statements made by human rights organizations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the International Society of Human Rights.

Hungarian Media: Matas urges the Hungarian and European Parliaments to do all they can to stop the illegal organ harvesting.

Hungary's daily newspaper Nepszabadsag (People's Freedom) published an article entitled "Beijing Condemned for Illegal Organ Harvest". The article stated: Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas and Canada's former Secretary General for Asia-Pacific David Kilgour condemned the Chinese Communist Party's systematic and illegal organ harvesting and the organ trade in their investigation report, which points out that the organs come from detained Falun Gong practitioners. The profits of the organ trade flow into the CCP's Health Department, and the CCP's army. Matas says that he has already asked the Hungarian Parliament to do their best in putting a stop to it.

The article also points out that one can find a matching organ in China within a very short period of time. This proves that a huge source of organs exists in China. It is very likely that most of these organs have come from imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners in jails and labour camps in China. Another piece of evidence is that families of Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted to death found marks on the corpses where organs have been snatched.

Nepszabadsag published another article which explained in detail the phone-call records to transplant hospitals in China collected by Matas and Kilgour during their investigation. The article also stated: in these telephone conversations, the Chinese doctors made it known to Matas' investigation group that the sources of the organs are Falun Gong practitioners. This shows that Falun Gong practitioners in China are deprived of all rights and many people don't even think it a crime to murder Falun Gong practitioners.

Both articles published by Nepszabadsag touched upon the question of what Europe should do in response to this. The article said that last year a motion was proposed in the European Parliament to condemn the CCP harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. However this is far from enough. Matas hopes that laws will be passed to stop citizens of other countries from going into China for illegal organ transplant operations. And there should be laws to stop the export of anti-rejection medicines into China, because they are used when removing organs. Another thing is that the Chinese doctors involved in this crime should be banned from coming to Europe for training.

Hungary's "Info Radio" broadcast an interview with an Amnesty International member and reported on the two Canadian investigators' report as well as the conversation records with Chinese hospitals and statistics about organ prices in China. Furthermore it also reported about the testimony of a Chinese surgeon's wife who has escaped to America. Her husband had done more than 2000 operations to remove corneas from victims in China.

CBC Report (Canada): Leaked Memo Indicates Chinese Embassy Violated Diplomatic Protocol (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) (Minghui correspondent Ying Xin from Ottawa) On April 9, 2007, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) broadcast in its morning news that Zhang Jiyan made public a memo of the Chinese Embassy, which shows that a diplomat with the surname Huang ordered his colleagues to organize Chinese students and citizens in Canada and Canadian Chinese to interfere with NTDTV's application to the Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Commission (CTRC).

The report stated that a leaked copy of an embassy memo suggests China may have interfered with an application to the Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Commission. NTDTV applied to the CRTC for a broadcast license in 2005. The leaked memo proposes using Chinese students in Canada to mount a campaign opposing the application.

The report stated that Zhang Jiyan is the wife of a Chinese diplomat and in recent years a secret Falun Gong practitioner. When her husband was notified that he was being transferred from Ottawa back to China she says that she fled the embassy, but not before copying at least one document.

In it a senior diplomat named Huang instructs a junior colleague to quote "knock down a broadcast application by the New Tang Dynasty Television to the CRTC."

Huang instructs his colleague to organize Chinese students studying in Canada, Chinese citizens living in Canada and Chinese Canadians to lobby against the application.

In an interview with CBC, Zhang suggested that Canada's Chinese community needs NTDTV because the established Chinese media kowtows to the Chinese government. She said most other Chinese media companies are afraid of the authorities in their country and stay away from any news related to Falun Gong.

A former Canadian diplomat, Charles Burton, said that asking foreigners to influence the decision of a Canadian commission process clearly violates the rules of international diplomacy.

"If they are asking Canadians of Chinese origin to lobby on behalf of the embassy. That certainly crosses the line."

In the 1990s Charles Burton was a senior diplomat at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing.

"The Chinese embassy doesn't have any right to interfere in domestic Canadian affairs. Nor does the Canadian embassy in Beijing have any right to tell the Chinese government what sort of decisions they should make with regard to weather or not a TV station is allowed to be shown on Chinese cable."

Burton said if the memo is authentic, the Chinese campaign would have violated a principle of diplomacy that an embassy does not interfere in the internal affairs of another country.

New Zealand Herald Publishes Letters Condemning the CCP's Interference with Divine Performing Arts

(Clearwisdom.net) The Divine Performing Arts concluded two performances successfully in Auckland on April 5, 2007. Before the performances, the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand exerted pressure on seven city mayors in the greater Auckland region via telephone and suggested that they not watch the show. This incident caught the attention of many local media. The New Zealand Herald carried two letters from readers on April 7 condemning the CCP's interference with residents in a democratic country's attendance at a cultural performance.

One reader stated, "Since when does the Chinese Consulate have the right to phone some of our mayors and suggest they do not attend a Chinese cultural show at our Civic Centre?

I am ashamed that some mayors will not be attending the show. I thought they would go if only to show that in this democracy, they defend the right of people in this country to see, read and visit anything they please. It is time for the Government to let the Chinese Consulate know we will not tolerate this sort of interference and coercion."

Another reader stated, "Once again the Chinese Government is interfering in the decisions of New Zealanders to attend events. First, it was Tibetan meetings, and now it is the Divine Performing Arts show.

Often, when excessive force is brought to bear, the result is the opposite to the intention--the French increased the size and resources of Greenpeace immensely by giving it free publicity. The Chinese have just given the Divine Performing Arts show the best exposure it could get. Roll up."

New Zealand's mainstream media exposed the CCP's interference with the performance of The Divine Performing Arts before the shows. Reading the reports, many New Zealand citizens came to watch the show. Staff at the performance indicated that the CCP's interference played the role of advertising for the troupe.

Facts of the Persecution

Ms. Yu Xianna Suffers Brutal Persecution in Wanjia Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In February 2006, practitioner Ms. Yu Xianna was tied up and tortured after refusing to write the three statements at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. Team leader Guo Qiuli and guard Wang Nana tied Ms. Yu's hands behind her back with ropes. Then she was hung up by the rope on a metal bar in the storage room with both legs approximately half a meter above the ground. On the night of February 9, Ms. Yu declared all her so-called "comments and opinions," spoken or written, to be null and void. As a result, guard Cong Zhili called her to the office and beat her up brutally. Cong used her fists to thump Ms. Yu's head; Yu's vision immediately blurred and she almost fainted. Cong then beat Ms. Yu's face using her hands. Cong's hands were numb, painful, and shaking uncontrollably when she finally stopped the beating. Then she forced Ms. Yu to stand and did not allow her to sleep.

In November 1999, Ms. Yu was imprisoned in the Beijing Penitentiary after traveling to Beijing to appeal to the government. She was later transferred to the Second Detention Center in Shuangcheng City and was not released until May 2000. In September 2000, she was intercepted by policemen on her way to Beijing for a second appeal. She was imprisoned in the Second Detention Center and released two months later.

At around 6 p.m. on February 21, 2004, several policemen broke into Ms. Yu's home, where she lived by herself. They immediately arrested her and took her to Minzhu Police Station for interrogation. They asked her where she obtained her truth clarification materials, but she refused to answer and sent forth righteous thoughts. A policemen pulled her to the center of the room and forced her to stand. However, Ms. Yu refused to cooperate and returned to her seat to continue sending righteous thoughts. More than an hour later, the policemen went to Zhang Guofu's office to ask for directions. Zhang replied, "Send her to the detention center."

On the fourth day after Ms. Yu was sent to the detention center, she began a hunger strike. Zhu Xiaobo, deputy superintendent of the detention center, and the prison doctor tried to force-feed her by inserting a plastic tube through her nose down into her stomach. However, halfway down her throat the tube got stuck. In March, she started a second hunger strike and on the fifteenth day she was sent to Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. By then, she was already very weak and had difficulty walking. She was coughing and spitting up blood regularly.

In the so-called "concentrated team" in the Wanjia Labor Camp, two collaborators stripped off her clothes and made her put on a prison uniform. Then they made her to sit on a plastic stool with both legs tightly together, with her hands on her knees, and did not allow her to move. At that time, Ms. Yu was already very weak. Seeing how other practitioners were hung up and persecuted, she wrote the so-called "three statements" against her will out of fear. A week later she was transferred to the twelfth team.

In October 2004, Ms. Yu began refusing to perform the slave labor. After being brutally beaten by the team leader, surnamed Lin, as well as guard Wang Nana, she was forced to squat down with both legs tightly together, her hands behind her back, and not allowed to move. At night, when she could not continue squatting anymore, she suffered beatings from guard Liu Baibing before being forced to squat again. Only when the twelfth team completed the day's quota was she allowed to stand up.

In November, guard Qiu Yang called on team leader Guo Qiuli and found that Ms. Yu had one of Teacher's articles in her possession. Qiu moved a metal chair to the corridor of the twelfth team and handcuffed her hands behind her back and to the chair frame and forced her to sit on the metal chair for a week. Later, after she refused to answer a question sheet that defamed Dafa and Master, she was forced to squat in the cell. Later, policeman Wang Nana cuffed Ms. Yu's hands to the frame of a metal bed and forced her to continue squatting while beating her brutally.

In November 2005, Ms. Yu was persecuted again for refusing to answer a political test. Policeman Qiu Yang instructed two collaborators (one of which was Wang Meifang, a practitioner who has enlightened on an evil path) to strip off Yu's clothes and made her sit on a metal chair in the storage room of the twelfth team barefooted and wearing only a pair of short pants. The windows were opened and it was a very cold winter day. The next day, they repeated the same torture but made Ms. Yu sit down on the floor with both legs tight together. She was not allowed to wear shoes even when she was going to the restroom. At that time, even policeman Wang Nana, who was wearing a winter jacket, said that it was cold, and Wang Meifang was shivering although she wore her winter coat.

On the third day, policeman Sha Yujin took over. Even though Ms. Yu Xianna was handcuffed to the metal chair and squatting barefooted on the floor, Sha Yujin was still filled with hate and anger. She handcuffed Ms. Yu to a metal bar in the storage room and started kicking her legs with her thick boots. Ms. Yu's toenails were shattered from being kicked, and the pain was almost unbearable.

On the fourth day, guard Wang Wei instructed collaborator Wang Meifang to move the metal chair into the supervising room. Having being cuffed to the metal chair barefooted for several days, Yu's legs were both swollen and red. Soon her legs started to hurt badly and she could barely place one of her legs on the floor. Wang Wei made Wang Meifang push Ms. Yu's legs upwards with all her strength, creating tremendous pain for Ms. Yu. Wang Wei even stepped on Ms. Yu's head to humiliate her.

On the fifth day, guard Qiu Yang arrived at work with a police baton and sat down next to her. Qiu forced Ms. Yu to squat with both legs tight together and she was not allowed to move. Ms. Yu's hands were still cuffed to the back of the metal chair and if she made any movements, she would be beaten by the guard. This lasted till midnight and by then, Yu's legs and arms were hurting unbearably. When her hands were uncuffed she could not move them anymore. Two collaborators carried her to the chair, and at this time, Qiu Yang arrived and made a cup of cereal for Ms. Yu in an act of false compassion in order to try to convince her to write the three statements.

On the sixth day, Ms. Yu had reached her limit. Having been so brutally persecuted, she was misled by their false compassion and was unable to tolerate their brutal torture any more, so she wrote and submitted the so-called "three statements" and other reports. However, Guo Qiuli (the team leader) said that the reports did not meet the requirements and told her to rewrite them. Guo also said that if Ms. Yu did not write them, she would be tortured again. She began a hunger strike for eight days and was finally spared from torture on the eighth day.

In April 2006, the labor camp started a new wave of coercion to make practitioners give up their cultivation. Ms. Yu Xianna refused and team leader Guo Qiuli and Li Peihuan made her squat with her hands behind her back again. On the second day, Sha Yujin, Xie Chunyan, and another guard surnamed Wei made her stand in the office with her head bent down between her thighs. Whenever she moved even a bit she would be beaten. Later, she could not control her legs anymore and fell to the ground, and was beaten and kicked by guard Xie Chunyan.

In May, team leader Huo Shuping, guards Qiu Yang, Wang Wei and Zhou Yingfan brought Ms. Yu to the supervising room for another round of torture after judging that her so-called "comment and opinion" speech was unacceptable. Ms. Yu was forced to stand with her head bent down between her thighs and both hands cuffed behind her back. Criminal Yang Fengling was instructed to strip off Ms. Yu's pants and Zhou Yingfan used her police baton to brutally hit Ms. Yu's buttocks, back, and arms countless times. After seeing no response, Huo pretended not to know what to do, and Ms. Yu was once again fooled by the false compassion and agreed to repeat the "comment and opinion" speech. Later on, Ms. Yu was often made to stand up or bend down for an entire night when she refused to say the "comment and opinion" speech.

In mid-September 2006, the local judiciary wanted to start training in Wanjia Forced Labor Camp for an army performance. The camp made all female prisoners participate. They had to practice under the heat of the midday sun and continue to do slave labor at night. One morning, Yu Xianna was dizzy and was unable to participate in the marching, but Yao Fuchang brought her out onto the square and made her squat on the ground. Yao barked at her, "This is a political requirement. Let's see how you dare to not participate" while using a ruler to slap Yu's face. Seeing this, twelfth team leader Guo Xiuli remarked sarcastically, "Your head is probably not dizzy anymore now!" Qiu Yang and the discipline leader, surnamed Zhou, also brutally beat Ms. Yu.

Saved by Calling Out "Falun Dafa Is Great" after a Car Accident, Mr. Jin Xinnian Is Arrested by Investigating Officers for Telling the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Jin Xinnian and his co-workers from Dalian City were saved from a perilous situation after a car accident when they called out "Falun Dafa is great!" After the traffic police reported the accident, Mr. Jin was arrested by police from the Huanghailu Police Station.

Mr. Jin Xinnian, 40, works at Fuwode Seaport Service Company in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, as a manager.

On December 21, 2006, around 3:00 or 4:00 a.m., Mr. Jin was driving. It was foggy and the road was icy and slippery. On a right turn, he lost control of the car and slipped into a seven to eight meter deep pond that was used to hold industrial wastewater. The water was about six feet deep. There were four to five boat repair workers in the car. Two tires burst after the car fell into the pond. All the passengers (including Mr. Jin) fell into the pond. Two of them were injured and one passed out. After 10 minutes there was no sign of things getting better. At this perilous moment, Mr. Jin thought of our Master and of Falun Dafa. Together with the other workers, he shouted "Falun Dafa is great!"

While they were shouting, the wrecked car door opened. After Mr. Jin escaped, he pulled out a co-worker. Later he realized there was another co-worker in the car. After he pulled him out, he saw that the man had stopped breathing. Mr. Jin had the thought that if he died, what would the factory do and what would his parents do? With all his might he called to Master to save him. As he was calling out, the co-worker started to breathe. He was lifted out by several other co-workers and sent to a hospital.

When the traffic police investigated the accident, they asked how the workers were able to open such a damaged car door. Mr. Jin told the police, "When I said 'Falun Dafa is great,' the door opened by itself." Because of this, the traffic police reported Mr. Jin. On March 30, 2007, around 9:00 a.m., policemen from Huanghai Road Police Station took Mr. Jin and his co-workers from the Seaport Service Company to the police station, claiming they needed to "wrap up" the case. The police searched them and found an MP3 player on Mr. Jin. That afternoon Mr. Jin was sent to a detention center in the Development Zone of the city. Before the arrest, which was around March 25 or 26, police from the 610 Office of Dalian City and police in Tuoshan Township, Wafangdian City, went to the hometown of Mr. Jin and called the workplace of his wife, Liu Zuona, who is a Falun Dafa practitioner, to obtain evidence for the arrest.

In addition, on the afternoon of March 30, police from Huanghai Road Police Station searched the workplace of Mr. Jin but obtained no evidence. The police are preparing to have the workers from the company come to the police station on March 31, 2007.

Ms. Liang Xianglian and Ms. Zhou Meihua Sent to Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City, Liaoning Province

On the afternoon of March 20, 2007, officials at the Xiuyue Street Police Station in the Zhongshan District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province sent Ms. Liang Xianglian and Ms. Zhou Meihua to the Yaojia Criminal Detention Center. In order to conceal their decision from the practitioners' families, the officers sent Ms. Liang and Ms. Zhou away through the back door of the police station. The Yaojia Detention Center is known for its cruelty in persecuting practitioners. Ms. Liang and Ms. Zhou were followed and arrested by patrolling officers dedicated to the suppression of Falun Gong practitioners. The two were posting self-adhesive truth clarifying materials in the Xiuyue Street residential area. One female and four male officers from the Xiuyue Street Police Station searched Ms. Liang Xianglian's home and confiscated a personal computer, some truth clarifying materials, an MP3 player, Falun Dafa cassette tapes, and a cellular phone.

Ms. Zhou Meihua is my younger sister. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. This is the fourth time she has been arrested. She had no fixed place to stay, and her daughter, the only child she has, has not been able to attend school. I am gravely concerned that Meihua has sustained severe mental and physical abuse by hunger striking to protest unlawful persecution.

Ms. Liang Xianglian was born in October 1949. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1995. She was unlawfully held in the Dalian City Forced Labor Institute from October 2000 to October 2003, undergoing extended torture and persecution. Her husband also started practicing Falun Gong in 1995. He was held in the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp from October 2000 to August 2002. He was tortured to the extent that he could no longer take care of himself. He is almost blind.

Information Regarding Illegally Detained Falun Dafa Practitioners in Boai County, Henan Province

(Clearwisdon.net) Police officers Li Yinghao, Sun Lujun, and Li Ziyou, Sun Jie and others from Boai County have persecuted many practitioners since July 20, 1999. Some practitioners died as a result of the persecution; some decided to become homeless to avoid persecution; some families were broken up, and others were and still are detained. The following is information on detained practitioners and their families.

Xinmi Prison Jailed Practitioners Mr. Bian Chunyou, Mr. Bi Zhicai, and Mr. Jiao Changfu

Mr. Bian Chunyou, 51 years old, is a Vietnam War veteran. His right leg became disabled, he could no longer take care of himself, and he walks with crutches. He began Falun Dafa cultivation in 1996. After July 20, 1999, he was persecuted and detained many times as well as subjected to illegal home searches, other terrifying experiences, and brainwashing. Mr. Bian was arrested again for distributing Dafa materials and held in a detention center. Practitioners held there have experienced mental torment and physical abuse by having to work long hours.

Mr. Bian's health deteriorated under such an execrable environment. His limbs were contorted and his already disabled legs began to suppurate, beginning near his foot and gradually moving up. Constantly working long hours, he frequently appeared to be nauseous and dizzy. His hands and feet were weak, and he could not walk. His leg needed to be amputated, but the prison doctor refused to treat him, citing a lack of money as the reason.

Despite his poor health, the court still sentenced Mr. Bian to three years in prison. He is now detained at Xinmi Prison in Henan Province and being tortured again. In prison, his legs were amputated in order to control suppuration in the lower part of his legs. After the amputation, due to a lack of medication, the infection was not controlled. As a result, he ended up requiring a second amputation. The family has asked many times for his release due to his medical condition, but the prison officials refuse and continue to detain and torture him.

Mr. Bian Chunyou's wife believes in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." For this she has been continually persecuted since July 20, 1999. Among other forms of persecution she has been detained, brainwashed, and subjected to mental abuse. She lost her mental acuity, became partially paralyzed, and could no longer take care of herself. A fire happened where she lived. Because of her limited mobility and inability to douse the fire, it became a disaster. The trauma of the fire resulted in her lower body and legs being disabled, and she was bedridden for a long time. She could not sit or walk. Her life of bitterness defies description.

Given their desperate family situation, Mr. Bian's children went to the county police department and asked for their father's release. The police were in no way moved by their story. They continued Mr. Bian's incarceration in prison and additionally have police stationed around Mr. Bian's home to monitor his family's activities

Practitioner Mr. Bi Zhicai, 48 years old, began his cultivation practice in Dafa in 1998. He was arrested in October 2005 for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. Eight months later he was sentenced to three years in prison. His family was not notified until much later. Now he is detained in Xinmi Prison. Mr. Bi firmly believes in Dafa and has never cooperated with the evildoers during his detention.

Mr. Bi's wife is also a practitioner and began cultivating in 1998. After July 20, 1999, she was forced into a brainwashing center many times. She experienced verbal abuse from her neighbors who did not know the truth about Falun Gong during her husband's detention. County officials frequently searched her home, took away her belongings, and intimidated her; however, her belief is firm, and she continues practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. Jiao Changfu is practitioner from Zhuyin Village in Boai County. He had been detained for three years since 2000. In April 2005 he was sentenced again to five years and is now detained in Xinmi Prison.

Forced to leave home, Ms. Zhang Yiqin's whereabouts are unknown

Ms. Zhang Yiqin used to have difficult-to-treat illnesses, but she became healthy after she started practicing Falun Gong in July 1999. The practice completely changed her personality. She treated people nicely and looked inside herself first when there was a conflict. She had just started Dafa study when the persecution began, but she did not change her mind about practicing Falun Gong. The county officials constantly harassed her by conducting home searches and taking away her belongings, forcing her to pay a fine, and forcing her to attend brainwashing sessions. On June 12, 2006, police officers Li Yinghao, Li Ziyo, Sun Lujun, and others broke into Ms. Zhang's home and attempted to arrest her. With Master's help, she successfully escaped from the police. Her whereabouts are unknown. Her family of four live in difference places.

There is another practitioner who also suffered from persecution. Police found Dafa materials at her home during a search in her absence. After that, they started monitoring her home. She became aware of that and could not return home. She decided to leave home to avoid further persecution. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Wang Tusheng and Ms. Lu Xiaohua have been detained

Mr. Wang Tusheng, 56 years old, worked at the Danhe Power Plant in Jiaozhuo. On March 9, 2007, he was arrested by policemen Sun Lujun and Sunjie and now is detained in the Boai County Detention Center.

Ms. Lu Xiaohua, a practitioner from Sigou Village in Boai County, was arrested for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and was until recently detained at a forced labor camp. She has been transferred to Shibalihe Prison in Henan Province.

Daqing City (Heilongjiang Province) Police Arrest and Beat Local Residents for Reading Falun Gong Flyers at Lantern Festival

(Clearwisdom.net) I had a get-together several days ago. One of my friends is a police officer. He mentioned some marvelous stories that occurred on March 4, 2007 (January 15--the Lantern Festival--on the lunar calendar) in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province.

Over one thousand plainclothes police and armed officers were among the crowd

It was March 4, the 15th day of the Chinese New Year. Tens of thousands of residents gathered to enjoy lanterns and fireworks in Shiji Square in Dongfeng New Village, Daqing City. Over one thousand undercover police and armed police were among the crowd. Practitioners distributed free handouts that clarified the facts of Falun Dafa among the crowd. It was quite risky. They could have been arrested if they were discovered. The police arrested some residents for reading the handouts. Several of them were sent to the Daqing City Detention Center. The police beat them before questioning and interrogated them the whole night without allowing any of them to sleep.

The glittering handout compelled a man to pick it up and read

An elderly resident was beaten so badly that he had bruises all over. It turned out that he was a businessman instead of a Falun Gong practitioner. The police asked why he was reading the Falun Gong handout. He said that he had no idea, but he saw that it was glittering, so he picked it up and read it.

Falun Dafa music at night

At night, the police and the residents heard the Falun Dafa music during their interrogation in the Daqing City Detention Center. After 5 a.m., they heard the Falun Dafa music again. Two of the police officers could not help shedding tears when they heard the music.

The Chinese Communist Party fears the widespread dissemination of the facts of Falun Gong. It beats and arrests the ones who want to know the facts and takes away their freedom. However, Falun Dafa is merciful and miraculous.

Three Practitioners from the Changxi Neighborhood in the Longfeng District of Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province Arrested and Their Property Confiscated

(Clearwisdom.net) In the morning on March 19, 2007, a group of plainclothes police officers in Daqing City followed and monitored Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yan Xiuli. After Ms. Yan arrived at the home of her in-laws, several plainclothes officers appeared and loitered outside the building. One officer positioned himself by a staircase inside the building. After Ms. Yan left her in-laws' home, the police that were waiting outside followed her and illegally arrested her.

When the officers discovered the key to Ms. Yan's house, her home was plundered. The police confiscated her computer, printer, Dafa books and some other computer materials, such as toner, ink and cartridges. The policeman who was stationed by the staircase posed as a renter inquiring about a place to rent so that he could invade the home. Then several officers entered the home and confiscated property. Ms. Yan's mother-in-law was sick and bedridden and was unable to get up. The officers showed no concern for the woman and ransacked the home. The police pried open locked drawers and confiscated compact disc burners, along with many compact discs and Dafa books as well as other things. They also stole 300 yuan. While trying to protect the Dafa books, one of the officers hit Ms. Yan's mother-in-law's hand and it swelled. One of the officers constantly swore during the incident.

According to the police, Ms. Yan Xiuli had been under surveillance for a year. Ms. Yan's husband (a non-practitioner) was also taken away the same day. The police asked him to identify Falun Dafa practitioners in some photographs. Her husband did not know any of the people in the photographs and he was released the next day.

In the afternoon on March 19, 2007, practitioner Ms. Tian Guiting went down the stairs of her residence and was arrested by plainclothes police. The officers discovered her house key and her home was ransacked.

That afternoon, the police attempted to arrest practitioner Mr. Han Defa, but Mr. Han did not appear at the location where the police were waiting. The next morning after Mr. Han Defa got off work and was headed home, he was arrested. Similar to the previous arrests, police uncovered the key to his house and ransacked his family residence. A computer, paper cutter, Dafa books, Teacher Li's picture, and compact discs, along with other items, were confiscated.

The premeditated arrests of practitioners were planned by Daqing Municipal Police Department, the State Security Division, and Longfeng District Police Department. There were many indications that the maintenance and cleaning workers of the residential area of the Petrochemical Factory of Wanlong Property Company in Daqing City participated in monitoring practitioners. Moreover, some practitioners' neighbors were hired by the police to participate in the surveillance. We hope practitioners will pay attention to this.

At present, practitioners Ms. Yan Xiuli, Ms. Tian Guiting and Mr. Han Defa are imprisoned at the First Detention Center of Daqing City, and their family members are not allowed to visit them.

According to reliable sources, personnel from the Hanyang District Qinduankou Prison's No. 10 Team beat a practitioner to death on March 10, 2007. Two practitioners were in the team: Mr. Xie Yonggang and Mr. Wang Zhichao.

It's said that a telephone call duped practitioner Ms. Chen Fengmei into leaving home at 7:00 p.m. around March 6, 2007. She was arrested right after she went out. Her home was ransacked immediately after. The reason for the persecution may have been that authorities found some Falun Dafa materials. They even seized her non-practitioner husband. It is said her husband's employer has recently bailed him out.

4. [Daozhen County, Guizhou Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Imprisonment and Forced Labor

Surveillance cameras photographed two practitioners from Daozhen County (Daozhen Autonomous County of the Gelao and Miao Nationality) while the two were distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials in the county at the beginning of July 2006. They were later arrested and their homes ransacked. Practitioner Mr. Chuan Qiang was sentenced to four years of imprisonment and Mr. Tu Jian to three years. Practitioner Ms. Wang Shujun went to the police station to request her non-practitioner husband's release, but she was arrested and sentenced to one and a-half years of forced labor.

Chuan Qiang and Tu Jian are being held at the Duyun Prison. Wang Shujun is being held at the Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labor Camp.

10. [Changji City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] More Than Ten Practitioners Held at the City's Detention Center

Policemen headed by Yue Jiangmin from Changji City, the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, arrested 13 practitioners between March and June 2006. Police transferred all the practitioners' cases to the city's intermediate court in August 2006. Nine practitioners were prosecuted in October, including Ms. Yu Yuejuan; Ms. Zhao Xuemei; Ms. Yang Yingjie; Ms. Zheng Xinxiu; four sisters--Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen, Ms. Zhang Yanping, Ms. Zhang Yanyun and Ms. Zhang Yanlin; and Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen's son, Mr. Li Gang. Mr. Li Gang has been held till now only because he had downloaded some truth-clarifying materials and made some CDs for his mother. The court agents opened a trial for the nine practitioners but did not reach a verdict. All the practitioners are still being held at the city's detention center.

Four officers, including Yue Jiangmin and Huang Tai from the National Security Team of the Changji City Police Department, broke into practitioner Mr. Tao Zhonglin's home and ransacked it. They arrested Mr. Tao the next day and put him into the city's detention center where he remains.

15. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Four practitioners including Mr. Liu Wanxiang and his wife, Ms. Liu Yulan, from Dawa County, Panjin City, went to the city's No.1 People's Hospital. They had gone there to help practitioner Mr. Wang Fuxing, who had been tortured so severely that he was in critical condition. He has been under emergency care since March 15, 2007. The police followed the practitioners to their homes on March 24, 2007. Personnel headed by the National Security Team deputy chief Fu Zhenguo in the county's police department went to the practitioners' homes, arrested them, and ransacked their places. The four practitioners are presently being held at the county's detention center.

Practitioners Liu Wanxiang and his wife Ms. Liu Yulan, both 50 years old, have been to Beijing several times to clarify the truth. They were sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment. Their determination to practice Dafa has never altered.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Kun, 50 years old, has been to Beijing to clarify the truth and been arrested. She has always been determined to continue Falun Dafa cultivation practice.

Ms. Guo has been strict with herself in Falun Dafa practice.

16. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Li Yanzeng Sent to the No. 2 Prison in the Shenyang City Prison Complex

Practitioner Mr. Li Yanzeng, 48 years old, from the Hexi District, is a former employee of the Shenyang City Zhongda Shopping Mall. He began to practice Falun Gong in 1995. The Dongling District Court agents in Shenyang City sentenced him to nine years of imprisonment for clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. He is presently being held at the No. 2 Prison in the city's prison complex. Mr. Li has been tortured in a small cell in the prison for 100 days because he wanted to do the Falun Gong exercises in prison.

Personnel from the Tixuqi Police Station National Security Team and from the Qilu Police Station arrested 40-year-old practitioner Ms. Ye Changli and ransacked her home at 10:00 p.m. on March 13, 2007.

Another batch of policemen went to the home of Ms. Ye's brother, Sanye, in an attempt to arrest him. When police knocked on the door, Mr. Ye's child saw they were policemen and told them he/she would not open the door because his/her parents were not home. Mr. Ye chose to live in exile afterwards.

Personnel from the Tiexi District No.12 Street Police Precinct, the district's National Security Team, and the local community office arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Ke and his wife on the morning of March 24, 2007.

18. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Offices Zhao Zhi, Miao Xin and others from the Erdao District Police Department broke into and ransacked the homes of practitioners Mr. Du Xuege and Ms. Du Xiukun on the evening of March 22, 2007. They arrested Mr. Du Xuege's wife, Ms. Wang Xin, Ms. Du Xiufen and Ms. Zhu Jinfeng and sent the three ladies to the Weizigou Detention Center.

The satellite village party secretary Leng Haihe from Yingjun Town in the Erdao District and other officers broke into other practitioners' homes the next day. Those practitioners chose to live in exile to avoid illegal arrest.

In addition, Ms. Zhao Hui, in her 40s, was reported and arrested when she was clarifying the truth in Panjin City the afternoon of March 23, 2007.

He dragged her to a police station. He then transferred her to the district's detention center. Ms. Yang has been sentenced to 18 months of forced labor.

Meng Xiangui, a police officer from the Guyuan County 610 Office received a report and then arrested two practitioners. It happened because they were clarifying the truth and persuading people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates on March 18, 2007. One of the arrested practitioners jumped from the second floor of the police department building and walked away. The other practitioner was released with the power of righteous thoughts.

Practitioners Mr. Wang Silong, Ms. Gao Tongxiu, Mr. Leng Jingtong and Mr. Luo Shiliang from Shangao County, Jiangxi Province, went to Nanchang City from Gaoan County for an experience-sharing meeting on March 10, 2007. Police tracked them to the city's Bayi Park. Personnel from the city's Donghong Police Station arrested them when the practitioners were on their way home. They are presently being held at the Xishan No. 1 Detention Center.

Policemen from Gaoan County illegally searched Mr. Wang's home on March 10. 2007. Mr. Wang's wife, Ms. Deng Yuying, was immediately sent to the Liantan Forced Labor Camp in Gaoan County. The officials did this without following any legal procedures.

Practitioner Mr. Cao Dong was arrested after clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to the vice president of the European Parliament. He is presently being held at the Lanzhou City National Security Detention Center in Gansu Province. Gansu Province Court agents sentenced him to five years of imprisonment. He is appealing and has hired a lawyer.

33. [Hebei Province] Gaobeidian 610 Office Personnel Persecute Practitioners

Personnel from the Gaobeidian 610 Office and from the Beicheng Police Station have harassed and persecuted a practitioner many times since July 20, 1999. The practitioner went to Beijing to appeal on July 20, 1999. Officers from the Fuyou Street Police Precinct took him to the Fengtai District Gymnasium, arrested him, and held him there for one day, and then transferred him to Baoding City the next day. Personnel from the Gaobeidian Police Station eventually sent him back to the Beicheng Police Station where he was held for two days. He was forbidden to eat or drink during the detention. Police monitored him when he used the restroom.

Gaobeidian 610 Office personnel colluded with officers from the Beicheng Police Station. They went to the practitioner's workplace and arrested him again in November 2000. They detained him at a shooting range for 12 days. They ransacked his home and confiscated three Dafa books. Police tortured him ruthlessly and interrogated him during detention. Policemen Zhao Guanghua and Li Jianguo beat the practitioner with rubber batons and a wooden stool so he sustained severe bruises. His severely swollen legs prevented him from walking. Policemen forced him to run daily and stand like a soldier. The officers beat those old practitioners who couldn't run fast.

The shooting range's 610 Office director, Zhao Kejun, extorted 4,300 yuan from the practitioner. Gaobeidian 610 Office personnel have harassed and monitored the practitioner's family many times since April 2006, so the practitioner chose to live in exile for two months in order to avoid "illegal arrest.

81 People Declare that their Words and Deeds Under Forced Brainwashing are Null and Void

Clarifying the Truth in Nearby Cities and Towns with Righteous Thoughts

Greetings revered Master! Greetings fellow practitioners!

I decided to attend today's Fa conference in Los Angeles at the last minute. Practitioners in Edmonton suggested that I share our truth clarifying experiences and exposure of the persecution to mayors and city council members in nearby cities and towns on behalf of Edmonton practitioners.

I experienced interference before I started to write this article. The next day when I woke up, my head, neck, shoulders and back ached severely. I couldn't move. I knew that it was severe interference. So I began to look within myself and see whether I had any attachments that were being taken advantage of. I found many loopholes: I did not want to write, thinking, "I am not well educated," and was afraid that I would be unable write my experience sharing article well. I feared not having done well, and other practitioners might look down on me, and other, similar emotions. After I realized this, I immediately started to send forth righteous thoughts, studied the Fa and tried to correct my thinking. Things improved, and the pain lessened. By then, practitioners had sent me an email and reminded me about writing the article, saying that it was part of a process of our development as a whole body and that I should write it as soon as possible.

Yes, this is a process of saving sentient beings, getting rid of attachments, improving our xinxing, building on our mighty virtue, and showing Master our gratitude. Master, do I merely want to benefit from the Fa and am unwilling to give [of myself]? What excuse would I have for not writing the article? Furthermore, I can take this opportunity and constantly eliminate the evil elements while writing and purifying myself, in addition to the support from fellow practitioners. In fact, my article is the result of our practitioners' cooperative efforts.

Practitioners in Edmonton had planned to clarify the truth to mayors and town councilors around the Edmonton area since last November. We wanted to focus on the Chinese Communist regime's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and selling them for profit, tying this in with the CCPs local, ongoing hate propaganda incidents. We formed a united body, from collecting relevant data on all the cities and towns in the Edmonton area, sending emails, making follow-up phone calls, driving to each city and town to do presentations at city and town councilors' meetings, sending forth righteous thoughts, and distributing flyers.

As of today, we have been to more than ten cities to give presentations to mayors and councilors. We are scheduled in more cities to give presentations at their city councilors' meetings. Some of those cities are only over half an hour's drive from Edmonton, but others are up to five or six hours' drive away. Three of the cities have passed resolutions to urge the federal and provincial government to condemn the CCP-regime sanctioned crimes and urge Canadian citizens not to travel to China for illegal organ transplant surgeries. More cities and towns have decided to discuss the resolution at their next councilors' meeting. We are constantly raising our levels during this process of truth-clarification as a whole body. I would further like to share our experiences in this respect.

I. Breaking through self-centeredness and walking the right path Master has arranged for us

I came to Edmonton from Ottawa last June. Edmonton, in the northwest part of Canada, is very cold in the winter. Due to a shortage of manpower, and because my English is passable, I was asked to make phone calls and follow up with each city and town. Practitioners think that Master has made arrangements for me to help with this project. It is very true. When I decided to sell my house in Ottawa and move to Edmonton, it sold in three days, even before it was posted on the MLS system. Since everything for a Dafa practitioner has been arranged, I should walk well the path Master has arranged for me. Thus, I started the process of making phone calls and clarifying the truth to persons in nearby cities.

Before each phone call I would first study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts. I wouldn't dial the numbers until I felt that my mind was peaceful and stable. I would usually greet people on the other end very politely and briefly introduce myself. Then I would ask for the mayor or mayor's assistant in person, asking them whether they had received our emails, and whether they were aware of what is happening in China. It is always helpful to know the date the message was sent and the content, since they can look for that right away. If they haven't received it, we would resend them a copy and follow up again. Sometimes it took me several days to get in touch with somebody in a city or town. If the mayor is a person with a sense of justice, he would easily issue us permission to give a presentation but that was sometimes not so. In addition, since there are always many topics to be covered at a city councilors' meeting, it is usually difficult to be allotted enough time for us to give a good presentation. We were usually allotted five to fifteen minutes.

My first impression when initially making phone calls made me think people in the West are more conservative and harder to talk to, not like clarifying the truth to government officials in Ottawa. People answering the phone were sometimes rude, saying they did not like such a "solicitation call." Some said that they were not interested in such issues because those belonged to international issues, and we should go to the federal or provincial government. Some mayor's assistants would answer rudely and hang up before I finished explaining. This troubled my mind. I would stare at the phone for a long time without knowing what to do. It is really difficult to insist. This is what happened during my first week of making phone calls.

In the past, when I heard other practitioners sharing their experiences of making phone calls to China, I did not really understand that much. If it is so difficult to place successful truth-clarifying phone calls in Canada, then it is not hard to imagine how tough it is to make phone calls to people in China. Why is this the case?

I started to look carefully within myself, kept studying the Fa, and sent forth righteous thoughts. I realized I had put my "self" in a more important position--I cared about MY feelings. I feared insults and disappointments; to walk the right cultivation path, I have to overcome my ego first. How could I not walk the path that Master has arranged for me? I am a practitioner and should explain the truth with compassion, patience, and persistence. How can I give up so easily? Had my compassionate mindset emerged? How much patience did I have? And how much endurance? Without compassion, how can I inspire everyday people's conscience and kindness? How can I rescue sentient beings?

When I had calmed down, I picked up the phone again and developed a strong thought: no matter how the person on the other end treats me, as long as he answers the phone, he or she will be rescued.

Again, I came across a mayor who immediately refused to listen. I patiently asked him to let me finish. And, with compassion, I explained the brutal persecution that practitioners in China are suffering and pointed out that such evils against human conscience, human rights, and heavenly principles should not be tolerated in the civilized world in the 21^th century. I also hoped he would sincerely step forward and make his voice of justice and kindness heard. He said that I should go to members of Parliament at the federal and provincial levels for such issues, since people in a small town where he lives cannot do much. I told him firmly that every voice makes a difference, particularly since his is the voice on behalf of all the citizens in his town. I also told him that many people of justice, such as Mr. David Kilgour and Mr. David Matas, are traveling all over the world to raise awareness with people from all walks of life. Because of their efforts, more and more people are aware of the evildoings and stupidity of the Chinese communist regime, more and more people are reflecting on what is happening today, and more and more people are stepping forward to stop the crimes.

I asked him, "When the truth manifests, when everyone sees the truth that innocent Falun Gong practitioners are persecuted, if your family members, friends and your people then ask you what you have done while in power to help end the persecution, what would you answer? Don't ignore your conscience and regret it for the rest of you life."

In the end he promised to discuss it with other town councilors before they made a decision. Thus, it easier and easier for me to make phone calls, and I became more and more confident. More and more cities are listening to our voices and making the right choice. I feel happy for them from the bottom of my heart. It is as

Master said in "My Thanks to Sentient Beings Who Have Sent Greetings:"

"I would like to tell you: Dafa disciples are the sole hope of salvation for the beings in each region and each nation. Cherishing what they are doing amounts to cherishing yourselves!"

II. Ascending as a whole body

Seven practitioners went together to give the first presentation in a nearby town. The city's library is on the main floor of that city hall. Municipal government offices are on the second floor. Some practitioners put up picture posters, distributed flyers, and collected signatures for a petition in the lobby. Some went to the second floor, sending forth righteous thoughts and helping the practitioners who were going to give the presentation. At each place we went to for a presentation, we encountered some interference, such as difficulty connecting the computer with the projector or other interruptions, so we would arrive at the destination at least half an hour early.

For this first time we were given only five minutes for our presentation, but the presentation we had prepared was about ten minutes long. We thought it would be all right to run a little over time. We did not finish, though, and were cut off since the time was up. None of us felt well on our way home. We calmed down and looked within ourselves and realized we had not attached importance to the presentation from deep within. We had not sat down together beforehand and studied the speech. We had not rehearsed anything to allow for time adjustment. All we did was delegate tasks to different people and expected the person in charge would be responsible for everything.

We had done poorly with overall coordination and had not looked at others' responsibilities as ours. Our negligence amounted to losing a good opportunity to let the people in that city know the truth and be rescued. Having learned from this first lesson, we carefully analyzed our speech and made adjustments, having presentations ready to fit into a five-minute, a ten-minute, or a fifteen-minute time slot. Meanwhile we formed a backup team, in case the practitioner responsible for doing the presentation was unable to do so; other practitioners could step in.

After having made adjustments, our second and third experiences were successful and achieved very good effects. After each speech, councilors from each city asked questions. The time given us was extended from several minutes to more than ten minutes, or even longer, until everyone had a clear understanding about the true situation in China. In addition, local media were present at almost every councilors' meeting. A well-done presentation always attracts reporters willing interview us. The energy field we carried became more and more positive and righteous. We became more and more comfortable about the whole process of truth clarification.

I would also like to share our experiences during our trip to Grande Prairie, a city about six hours' drive north of Edmonton. The presentation was scheduled for a Monday, and only a few practitioners were able to go. In order to make full use of the trip, we decided to leave early in the morning so that we could distribute some materials in the city. Interference was still strong. One practitioner got lost when picking up another practitioner in Edmonton. We sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the interference. The weather on the way to Grande Prairie was bright and beautiful. Although it was more than ten degrees below 0, we did not feel the cold in the bitter Alberta winter. We all felt happy and joyful, exchanging our cultivation experiences. A specific practitioner who does not often step out joined happily in the discussion. We all felt the joy in our hearts after having begun Fa practice and hoped we could cultivate more diligently and catch up with the progress of Fa-rectification.

We remember what Master said in "The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be,"

"Actually, if you think about it, the cultivators of the past didn't dare to slack off for even a second, and that was when it took an entire lifetime to complete the journey. So how can Dafa disciples-who are to achieve the Attainment Status of a being who is saved by Dafa and who have the most convenient cultivation way-not be even more diligent when they are given this most glorious honor of Fa-validating cultivation in a brief cultivation period that passes in the blink of an eye?"

When we were passing the town of Whitecourt, a practitioner suggested we drop in and visit the mayor there. Since they had not yet replied to our request, we though it would be a good opportunity to try to approach them again.

We pulled up in front of the city government building. Two practitioners entered the city hall with a large amount of materials. They handed the receptionist a set of the materials, explaining that we were from Edmonton and on our way to Grande Prairie, to give a presentation regarding the inhumane persecution happening in China. Listening to our story, she tried to contact the mayor immediately and see whether he could meet us for a short time. The mayor met us in person. We had a good conversation and explained the situation and answered his questions. We left him the "Bloody Harvest" investigation report on the organ harvesting and a copy of the "Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party" and asked him to consider our request. The mayor promised to raise this request at the next city councilors' meeting. We left a set of the materials for every councilor as well and also dropped by the local library and explained the truth to the manager on duty. He allowed us to put some materials on their shelves. During this process we sincerely felt that people in the world are waiting for us to bring them the truth, waiting for us to rescue them. We realized the responsibility that every Dafa disciple is shouldering.

The next town we passed was Valleyview. We dropped by the town government building and left materials for every councilor and went to the local library. We also had an opportunity to call the mayor's cellphone and clarify the truth to him on the phone. He said that he would read the materials we left him and discuss the issue at the next meeting.

We arrived at Grande Prairie in the afternoon. We went to the major commercial centers and to the local library to distribute materials. We thought we should cherish this rare opportunity and let more people know the truth. The previously shy practitioner did an excellent job that day. He approached almost every person passing him and told them the truth and handed them a copy of the Nine Commentaries and a flyer. He was completely into it. After that day he said to us that he felt like reading the Fa loudly, promoting the Fa, and clarifying the truth from the bottom of his heart. He also felt like opening his heart and sharing his experience with other practitioners. He said that there were lots of shells that had encased him before, but now he did not feel anything.

Our presentation at the Grande Prairie city councilors' meeting was successful. The pictures on our PowerPoint presentation shocked everyone. The councilors asked lots of questions, including why the Chinese communist regime interferes with the NTDTV Spectacular and about other obstructions. The practitioner who did the presentation shared her understanding from the perspective of an educator. After that, three local media reporters interviewed us on site and expressed their willingness to raise awareness of what is happening in China. After each presentation we would add previously raised questions into a category of our preparation. When we eventually left Grande Prairie it was dark. We practitioners felt neither tired nor sleepy. We were joyful and kept sharing our cultivation experiences. We arrived home at 2:00 a.m.

At present, our project to clarify the truth to persons in nearby cities and towns is still underway. We plan to go to every city and town in our area and bring the truth to their hearts and minds. We understand that we don't clarify the truth to the mayors and councilors in these cities because of their special position as government officials, but because people in the area have elected them, and they represent the people in the area. Their attitudes decides the area's future.

When every city and town speaks up with its voice of justice, the federal and provincial governments will make the right decision and determine their positions. If every country and nation makes the right choice, people around the world will position themselves against the persecution. Because of this, the old forces will definitely interfere when we clarify the truth, since the purpose of the old forces is to destroy all sentient beings. Therefore, as the sole hope for all sentient beings, we should always have righteous thoughts and not acknowledge any arrangements by the old forces. We should persist to ceaselessly clarify the truth. If we give up, simply because the effect is not as expected, or if we only send out emails as though we have to finish a specific task, we then haven't fulfilled our responsibilities. Before us are sentient beings that have waited for thousands and thousands of years. If we do not offer them salvation, they might become hopeless and have no other opportunity. What's more, Master has arranged everything for us as long as we walk ahead, firmly, along this path.

Fellow practitioners: Let us act together and form an indestructible, whole body. Let us disintegrate the evil beings and rescue sentient beings. Let us not leave any regrets in our minds when the Fa-rectification arrives in the human world.

Moved to Tears by a Fellow Practitioner's Righteous Thoughts

I am a Dafa disciple in Chongqing City. Two months ago, 610 Office personnel destroyed all the truth clarification material production sites in our city. In order to guarantee the safety of the computer and printers that we just bought, another practitioner who had just learned how to make materials asked me to put these in a safe place temporarily. She said she would come and get them after she came up with a safe method.

Last week she came to find me and said, "Now I can take the equipment back." When we opened the door where the items had been stored, we saw that the three tied bags placed in the corner were in standing water. The computer and the liquid-crystal monitor were filled with water. The printer's ink box was also filled with water. Diluted ink was everywhere. The water inside the printer could not be poured out completely.

I thought, "This is bad. Everything is broken." I said, "I am sorry. When I placed the equipment here, it was dry inside. There was one discharge pipe, but how did it leak?" The other practitioner took out the wet items, but she did not appear worried. No matter what I said, she always replied with a smile, "It's all right. Do not worry. Our computer and printer are not ordinary people's machines. You see, the only thing that is not wet is the printer paper. Our equipment is protected by Master. If the paper is wet, it cannot be used. The other pieces of equipment can still be used after they are dry. You really do not have to be so worried."

Although I did not contradict her idea and knew she had the Fa in her mind and always looked at problems from the Fa, common sense told me that being in water for days, there was no way the equipment wouldn't have problems. How did so much water get in? Later on, a neighbor said that their kitchen drain had back up and they'd gotten someone to fix it, but they did not realize that a water pipe had broken.

After the other practitioner left, the incident was always on my mind. I did not know if the equipment she took back could be used or not.

Today, she especially came to tell me, "I know your heart was disturbed that day. I will tell you what happened. After I took everything back, it took one week for the water inside to dry out. After everything was completely dry, I connected the power and everything worked. There were no problems." When I heard this, I was moved to tears.

I had already planned to bring some money to get the machines repaired. I did not realize that the machine's owner relied on her firm righteous thoughts and Master's protection to make the electronic equipment work again. This itself is a Dafa miracle.

I decided to write about this experience and let Dafa disciples know how important firm and steadfast righteous thoughts are.

Cultivating Oneself Well Has the Most Persuasive Power to Clarify the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) In our area there is a couple in their 70s who began practicing Falun Dafa prior to July 1999. After the persecution began, the woman practitioner continued cultivation, but her husband gave it up. However, he still read every one of Master's new lectures and occasionally also did the exercises. He appeared like someone who was still practicing, but also as not practicing. He developed a strange temperament. Their five daughters are all very filial but couldn't make their parents happy. They often came for a joyful reunion, but it would end up falling apart. Though the woman practitioner kept practicing Dafa, when she ran across some conflicts she did not do very well and was not able to overcome sickness karma.

In November 2006, the man suddenly became unable to walk because of leg pain. Whenever he sat down he could barely get up, and it was equally difficult for him to sit down from a standing position. His five daughters, being aware of this, worried about him and took him to the hospital for a CT scan and spent quite a bit of money. His leg pain did not seem to get any better after treatment.

A person who had genuinely attained the Fa would not revert to an ordinary person. Since this practitioner had the Fa in his mind, the other practitioners shared their understandings with him. All believed that the leg pain was an excellent opportunity for him return to Dafa practice. Therefore, his wife led him in doing the exercises and to study the Fa together. There were certainly some mental conflicts, but they all looked inward.

About two weeks later a miracle happened: his leg completely recovered. From then on, the couple got up early in the morning and went to sleep late at night to seize the time to do the exercises and Fa study and they improved their xinxing. They also went close to the locations where practitioners were being persecuted to send forth righteous thoughts.

They became energetic and compassionate without experiencing any sickness. Their five daughters all saw the changes in them and truly witnessed the power and beauty of Dafa. They also started to practice Dafa. Moreover, their older son-in-law also stated that once he learned how to practice, he would teach his own parents to practice.

The couple had previously asked their daughters to practice, but they always replied saying, "You go ahead and practice yourself! Don't worry about us."

Now, seeing how their whole family became practitioners, I have realized that cultivating oneself well is really a silent way of truth clarification.

Having written this much, I would like to say a few words to those practitioners who have been unable to break through their family obstacles: Each one of our family members has a predestined relationship with us practitioners and with Dafa. Even if they cannot become practitioners, we need to at least help them see the beauty of Dafa. We have a significant historical mission to cultivate ourselves well, to show them the power of Dafa, and to bring them what they have been waiting for, a wish that has been sleeping deeply for several millennia. Let them all have a glorious future; let us not forsake our role as their closest family members in this life.

Correct a Wrong Mentality in Time and a Bad Thing Turns into a Good One

(Clearwisdom.net) A few days ago, when I was downloading something from the Internet, I found that the poems and articles I had written had been published. After I returned home, I turned on my computer and was about to slowly enjoy my work, but the monitor broke down with a loud "Ping" sound.

I knew that I should look inside but I was still trying to look for external causes. First, the monitor was refurbished. Because it had been humid recently and the monitor was always unclear when I turned on the computer, it was not unusual for the monitor to not work. Moreover, I had been thinking about replacing it for a long time. This old monitor was very heavy and was very inconvenient when we changed locations. It would be much better if I replaced it with a liquid scintillation monitor. It was the right time to replace it. I decided I would go to the computer store the next afternoon.

The next day I realized that there were no coincidences in cultivation: What kind of mentality did this incident display? I suddenly realized that it was a "monitor," so wasn't it indicating that I had a strong mentality of showing off?

I learned many ancient poems written in the Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.) before I started cultivating. When I was about 20 years old, I published many poems using new styles and old styles. I often received letters praising me from middle school students. I felt proud.

I have cultivated for almost 10 years. I had written many poems now and then during this time, but I had never sent them out for publication. This year, I sent out a few poems. The self-pride I had when I was young came back to me. I often reminded myself that Falun Dafa practitioners who write poems write them to validate the Fa and for the creation of the future culture. The ability to write poems was given by our respectful Teacher. Is there anything for me to show off? Although I warned myself this way, the show-off mentality still emerged, which misled me. The monitor broke down, so it appears that the show-off mentality is very strong. I had not paid enough attention to it. I started to send forth righteous thought to eliminate it. Now that this mentality had sprung up, wasn't it a good opportunity to eliminate it?

After work the next afternoon, I went to a home electronics store on my way home. I discovered that the store also buys old computers. I sold my monitor to the store and asked the store owner if the store had a liquid scintillation monitor. The owner said that they only had an old one and the picture was fuzzy. Therefore, the owner sold me the monitor at a very large discount. After I returned home, I found that the monitor didn't have any problems. The fuzziness was due to the poor adjustment. I knew that this was our Teacher's compassionate arrangement. When I corrected myself, a bad thing turned into a good one. This is encouragement from our Teacher, encouraging me to look inside and realize my prehistoric vow with a pure heart!

My purpose in writing this article is to remind other practitioners to "Cultivate until not one attachment is left" ("Cultivating in a Maze" in "Hongyin") Please point out anything inappropriate. The People Awaken to the Truth

How the Elderly Mr. Zhang Learned the Fa

The elderly Mr. Zhang always liked talking and making jokes. One day a practitioner clarified the truth to him about Falun Gong. Mr. Zhang said, "Sister, please be careful. Do you know what my wife does? She's especially in charge of the Falun Gong issue. You are getting political."

The practitioner said, "What is getting political? You have to allow us to speak out in this unfair situation. If speaking out is getting political, the word 'political' is just a stick for beating other people. In all past political movements, the CCP has incited the masses to fight each other. Weren't all of these activities wrong? Weren't those people who were suppressed and criticized all 'rehabilitated' later? Actually, the people who suffered the most were the common people. If you can cultivate to be a good person according to the principles of Falun Gong, you will have good health without spending a penny. Isn't this bringing good fortune to yourself and your family? The CCP doesn't allow you to practice Falun Gong, but who suffers for you when you get sick? We improved our moral standards and got healthy bodies. If we just stayed at home to do the exercises when our Master is being slandered, we would not be qualified to be human beings, not to mention cultivating 'Truth-Compassion-Forbearance.'"

As he listened, Mr. Zhang nodded and said, "Then please lend me your book to read."

The next day, she brought a copy of Zhuan Falun to Mr. Zhang. After three days, Mr. Zhang did not go to work. The practitioner worried about him and asked other people about him and learned that Mr. Zhang was hospitalized with stomach cancer. Mr. Zhang went back home after only half a month, because he could not pay for the treatment.

The practitioner visited him at his home and told him that because of his faith in Dafa, Master cleaned up his body. She said, "Do not recognize it as an illness; it is eliminating karma."

Mr. Zhang understood and quit the CCP organizations. He studied the Fa and did the exercises at home. When she saw him after a month, Mr. Zhang had a rosy complexion and was without any illness. He grabbed her hands and said, "Thank you! Thank you!"

His wife also understood the truth of Falun Gong and she, herself, started to actively protect Dafa disciples.

Several days ago, two of my colleagues, who were already aware of the truth about Falun Gong and had announced their intention to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, told me that the head of their work unit had talked with them about the plan to appoint them to be members of the reserve team of the CCP. They refused right way.

One of them said: "I am old and will retire soon. I want to leave some money for myself and do not want them to take it away from me. I won't get an official appointment or become rich this way. I don't want them to squander my money. Otherwise, why didn't they promote me earlier? They want to do this because they know that I will be paid a pension and they will want me to hand it to them after I retire. They want to tie me to them. No way! "

The other said even more directly: "The trend nowadays is to quit the CCP. Who wants to join the CCP? I have never written any application to join the CCP. I am too honorable to stoop to their corrupt level." In great disappointment, the CCP group head left. After that, when the two talked about this matter with me, they laughed joyously.

This reminded me of something. One year ago, following orders from their superiors, the CCP organization of our work unit held a meeting in which they said that everyone--except Falun Gong practitioners--was allowed to join the CCP. One year has passed since then, but no one ever wanted to join the Party. As a last resort, the CCP has had to make use of the tactics mentioned above.

Hearing their words, I thought "They are really fortunate to learn the truth." I am very happy for their clearheadedness. It manifests from another side how the CCP is frightened by the great wave of quitting the CCP.

A Member of a Political and Judicial Committee Who Persecuted Practitioners Dies of Cancer

Zhang Yaoquan, 56 years old, was a staff member of the Political and Judicial Committee of the Tonghua Sub-Bureau of Shenyang Railway Bureau. After July 20, 1999, he followed Jiang Zemin's regime and persecuted Falun Gong practitioners of the Railway System in Tonghua Sub-Bureau. In fact, he was a primary culprit in that persecution. He put practitioners under surveillance, ransacked their homes, and arrested them. He was hostile toward the practice and slandered Teacher.

In November 2006, Zhang Yaoquan developed lung cancer. After he had suffered in great agony for over two months, he died in early March, 2007.

Two in Charge of a Local Community Management Committee Die after Persecuting Practitioners

Li Weiyang, the head of the Xiping Local Community Management Committee of Panchangcheng Company No. 4 Factory in Hongyou City, Sichuan Province, was 60 years old and in good health. After July 20 1999, he slandered Falun Dafa, monitored practitioners, and reported information to the security department. His wife wished to read Falun Dafa books, but he did not allow her to do so. In addition, he ripped Falun Dafa books apart. Later, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and taken to Sichuan Hospital in Chengdu to receive chemotherapy. He died soon after.

Another person in charge of the same committee, Yan Jun, in his 40s, had been monitoring practitioners. He also asked neighbors of practitioners to spy on them. One day, when he was playing Mahjong, he fell out of his chair, hit his head on the ground, and lost consciousness. He was taken to the hospital and died two days later.

Once Jiang Zemin began the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Zhao Dajun, the former head of the Laocheng Police Station in Tu County, Liaoning Province, began arresting practitioners who had gone to Beijing to appeal to the government. He put them into detention centers or forced labor camps and imposed heavy fines on them. During his tenure at the Laocheng Police Station, he was also violent toward steadfast practitioners. He beat and swore at them. He also cursed Teacher and Dafa.

In 2000, Zhao was transferred to head the Zhanqian Police Station in Changtu County. During his tenure, he still didn't listen when practitioners tried to persuade him to follow kindness instead of his evil ways. On July 20, 2004, he arrested a practitioner couple.

During the interrogation, Zhao tried to humiliate and torture the male practitioner. He stuck truth-clarification post-it notes onto his face. Then he said to his subordinates, "Bring me two toothpicks and wait and see how I am going to deal with him." His driver by the last name of Li found two toothpicks. Zhao said that the tips were not pointy enough, so he ordered his subordinates to find another two toothpicks with sharp ends. At that time, there were six or seven police officers in the room (including the deputy head of the police station, Chang Yong). They handcuffed this practitioner behind his back, took off his pants, and then stabbed his penis with the two toothpicks. While being tortured, the practitioner kept warning Zhao that he would receive retribution for using this inhuman torture on a Dafa practitioner, that it would not be allowed by heaven and Earth! Zhao yelled, "You said that I would receive retribution! Why am I still doing okay?"

Now Zhao is paying for the evil deeds he committed. He is suffering in agony from the last stage of cancer.

After Destroying Falun Dafa Books, a Father and Son Die

Due to believing in the slander fabricated by Jiang Zemin's regime, Liu Songming and his father, Liu Yunbin, both from Baila Village, Buyun Bridge, Qidong County, Heyang City,Hunan Province, received retribution and died.

Liu Songming was strongly against his wife practicing Falun Gong, so he asked his mother to monitor his wife. Whenever he saw his wife doing the exercises or studying Zhuan Falun, he grabbed her book, beat her up, or even chased her with a knife in his hand. His wife had clarified the truth to him many times, but he did not want to listen. He purposefully sat on Dafa books, and he was disrespectful toward Teacher's portraits. He also burned Falun Dafa books. One time he boasted to others, "I burned Falun Dafa books--no consequence at all!"

On January 26, 2001, only one month after his boastful statement, he suddenly started vomiting blood during a card game. He was rushed to the hospital, but emergency treatments failed. He died within two days. He was not even 35 years old when he died.

Liu Songming's father, Liu Yunbin, had said to throw Falun Dafa books into a container for human excrement. On the day of his son's funeral, Liu Yunbin sternly said to his daughter-in-law, "I am a member of the CCP. I can't stand having Falun Gong in my family. Whoever practices Falun Gong, get out!"

Liu Yunbin had been in great health. He always had a good appetite, and he was never sick. In 2002, however, while he was working in the field, he had a stroke. He died suddenly at the end of November 2003.

Good and evil will meet with just consequences. I suggest to those who believe the CCP's lies and who have committed evil deeds against Falun Dafa practitioners: quickly wake up. Cherishing Dafa is cherishing your life. Please treat Falun Dafa practitioners kindly so that you will have a future.
