(Clearwisdom.net) Hailed as one of the Top-Ten Shows by Billboard Magazine in February last year, the U.S. Divine Performing Arts is now visiting Taiwan for an islandwide cruise performance.

Organized by the New Tang Dynasty Asia Pacific Television, the troupe is scheduled to perform 15 shows in Taiwan's five major cities, including Taipei, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan and Kaohsiung from April 7 to April 21.

The performing group, composed of 63 outstanding Chinese artists, includes contemporary top-class Chinese artistic tenor Guan Guimin; alto vocalist Yang Jiansheng, who is the only Chinese alto among seven famous altos mentioned on Wikipedia; soprano singer Bai Xue; renowned erhu (Chinese violin) soloist Qi Xiaochun; and professional ballet dancer and choreographer Vina Lee.

The troupe's performances showcase originality within traditional music, with exquisite and gorgeous costumes that reflect traditional Chinese dress styles.

It also portrays legendary stories in Chinese history. Its special stage backdrop designs have created stunning effects for audiences in Europe and America and earned high acclaim.

With their successful tour performances around the world, the troupe has caused a sensation even before their tour starts in Taiwan.

According to the organizers, tickets for their performances in Taipei on April 7-8 were sold out in just three hours. In addition, Taichung City Council Speaker Chung Hung-nien has booked 50 tickets for his council members while he said that the council is proud of being a co-sponsor of the performances in Taichung on April 11-13 at the National Chung Hsing University.

The performances are also scheduled to be staged at the Tainan Municipal Cultural Center April 9, Kaohsiung Cultural Center April 14, and Chiayi National Chung Cheng University April 20-21.
