Ms. Xue Shanghua Arrested and Sentenced to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp While Her School-Age Daughter Is Left at Home Alone

August 25, 2006 |

(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Ke, policeman from Qinggong Station in the Tiexi District of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, led the arrest of Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xue Shanghua on July 23, 2006. On the night of July 24, 2006, they took her to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, where she was tortured. Her daughter, a student, was left at home alone with no one to take care of her.

Ms. Xue's husband was also sentenced to four years in prison for practicing Falun Gong. He is now detained at Nanhuayuan Prison in Fushun City. Their daughter is constantly afraid and cannot calm down because both of her parents are detained.

Ms. Xue suffered from heart disease and high blood pressure before practicing Falun Gong. Her diseases disappeared after she started to practice. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor in 2004 because she would not give up her belief in Falun Gong. She was detained at Longshan Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City. Her diseases recurred and she was released on bail for medical treatment. She is now being tortured again.

Worried about her mother's health, Ms. Xue's daughter put aside her busy studies and went to Masanjia Labor Camp to visit her mother on July 27, 2006, along with her relatives and friends. When she arrived, again and again she asked to visit her mother. Eventually, female guard Wang, who was the head of the third ward, came out and right away pointed her finger at Ms. Xue's daughter and relatives and said very harshly, "What's the relationship between you and Ms. Xue? What do you think about Falun Gong?" When everyone answered, "Falun Dafa is good," she immediately left.

Ironically, a sign on the window behind her back reads "Law enforcement in a polite way; Warm-hearted service".

Ms. Xue's daughter and her relatives then went to the office of the head of the labor camp. They asked the guards for Ms. Xue's release because she was not guilty. The guards told them that the police were "acting according to the law" and they could not release her. The constitution states that a "person has freedom of belief." However, Jiang's regime and the CCP have blatantly disobeyed the constitution. They use their power for their own ends instead of upholding the law for the public good. The policy towards Falun Gong practitioners is "ruin their reputations, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically." This is the "law" that they enforce.
