Investigation Leads: Blood Forcibly Drawn From Changchun City Falun Dafa Practitioners Sun Shuxiang and Xing Guiling, and Other Information

August 23, 2006 |

(Clearwisdom.net) The Falun Dafa Association and Minghui website [Chinese version of Clearwisdom] founded the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG) on April 4, 2006. The coalition calls on people from all walks of life and any organization to form a united investigation group, to gather possible leads for investigation of illegal organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China. The following are leads we have recently obtained. We hope that all those who have special knowledge about such activities will assist us to continue to expose the inside stories of labor camps, prisons and hospitals in China that are colluding with each other to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Together we are striving to end the persecution.

- Zhengzhou City Central Hospital frequently performs three kidney transplants at a time

- Beijing Armed Police General Hospital performs liver transplant surgery for former head of Zhoukou City Health Bureau in Henan Province

- The No. 301 Hospital in Beijing performs heart transplant and falsely claims heart comes from executed prisoner

- Head of hospital and chief surgeon transferred for unexplained reasons

- Suspicious full physical exam at the Yanbian Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province

- More than 30 patients waiting for upcoming transplant surgeries at the No. 2 People’s Hospital of Shanxi Province

- Donor livers used in transplant surgeries at the Ditan Hospital come primarily from Shenyang City and Henan Province

Investigation Lead: Dafa practitioners Sun Shuxiang and Xing Guiling from Changchun City had blood drawn

Dafa practitioners Sun Shuxiang and Xing Guiling from Changchun City were illegally arrested in 2003. Responsible for the arrest were officers from the Luyuan District Police Department in Changchun City. They took the practitioners to the No. 3 Detention Center in Jilin Province. Later, about five police officers took them to the Changchun City Police Hospital for a physical examination.

The two practitioners were then taken to the China-Japan Union Hospital at Jilin University where they were checked for heart function. A doctor tried to run blood tests but could not draw any blood from the practitioners. He said, "I can’t determine the result because there is no blood, so I can’t do any tests." The head of the Changchun City Police Department found a nurse who drew pink-tinted blood from the jugular veins of both practitioners. They did it without the doctor’s knowledge.

On another occasion, officers from the Nanguan District Police Department in Changchun City arrested Sun Shuxiang. After she was on a hunger strike for 27 days to protest the persecution, the officials took Ms. Sun back to the China-Japan Union Hospital at Jilin University where she underwent a full, complete physical, including a CT scan and blood tests. The doctor looked at the test results and said the heart and kidney were in poor condition, and that Sun Shuxiang had diabetes.

A year earlier, officers from the Changchun City Police Department covered Sun Shuxiang’s head in May 2002 and took her to a dark basement to torture her. One male officer said to her, "Almost all of those who are still persisting [in their belief in Dafa] are dead. You have no clue." He sounded like he was hinting at something.

The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Dafa practitioners is horrific. We learned about the purpose of these CCP-directed physical exams only after the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed. The police and certain people in the regime are personally taking part in this aspect of the persecution. Not all of those who persecute Dafa practitioners know the truth about organ harvesting.

Investigation Lead: Zhengzhou City Central Hospital frequently performs three kidney transplants at a time

A thirty-seven-year-old man named Gang from Henan Province was suffering from late-stage uremia in January 2006. The doctor told him to get a kidney transplant in order to survive. He introduced Gang to the Zhengzhou City Central Hospital. After arriving at the hospital the doctor there told Gang, "We can have you undergo kidney transplant surgery after one week's wait."

Three patients with blood type A received kidney transplants that day. Patients with blood type B have to wait between one to two weeks for a kidney transplant. The hospital waits to perform surgery until there are three patients with the same blood type. Patients who have the same blood type wait less than two weeks for a kidney transplant.

The kidney transplant for Gang was smooth and successful; however, Gang developed pneumonia about two months after the surgery. The doctor said, "The pneumonia medications have damaged the kidney. You need another kidney transplant." Gang could not afford it, and he died.

How can an obscure hospital like the Zhengzhou City Central Hospital continuously perform three kidney transplants at a time? From where does it get all the live kidneys?

Investigation Lead: Beijing Armed Police General Hospital performs liver transplant for former head of Zhoukou City Health Bureau in Henan Province

Zhang Jie, head of the Zhoukou City Health Bureau, suffered from terminal liver cancer. In August 2005, someone suggested he receive a liver transplant on the sixth floor of Beijing's Armed Police General Hospital. He spent hundreds of thousands of yuan on surgery costs and received a transplant one week after he entered the hospital. Fu Biao, a famous actor, also received a liver transplant in the same hospital, but he died later that month. Zhang Jie died during the 2006 Chinese New Year.

It’s highly probable that Zhang Jie received a liver harvested from a living Falun Gong practitioner because of the short wait time.

Investigation Lead: The No. 301 Hospital in Beijing performs heart transplant and falsely claims heart comes from executed prisoner

Ma, a township government official in Xiangcheng, Henan Province suffered from severe heart disease. He underwent heart transplant surgery at the No. 301 Hospital in Beijing in the summer of 2004. He waited only about 20 days for the heart, which cost 100,000 yuan. Other fees were not included. The chief surgeon said, "We are using an executed prisoner’s heart. It’s a 26-year-old man with absolutely no illness. He was very healthy. Please do not worry at all." Ma and his family asked, "What’s the young man’s name? Where did he come from?" The head surgeon said, "It’s a secret. Don’t ask."

Investigation Lead: head of hospital and chief surgeon transferred for unexplained reasons

It was discovered in the past two weeks that the head of a hospital and chief surgeons at several hospitals in Guangzhou City were transferred within less than two or three months. Someone went to five hospitals last Monday and found that the head of the hospital and the chief surgeons have all been transferred. Why? The following is a conversation between the investigator and the hospital.

Investigator: "Where is the head of the hospital?"

Hospital: "He’s been transferred to Beijing."

Investigator: "How come I didn’t know about it?"

Hospital: "Why do you have to know? It’s been more than two months [since he was transferred]."

There are several specific examples of these abnormal transfers:

Jiang Qing, head of the Dongshan People’s Hospital in Guangzhou City and Liu Runjia, head of the ENT Department at the same hospital have been transferred;

Li Ronglin, deputy head of the Hospital of Stomatology Affiliated with Sun Yat-Sen University and doctor Ren Cainian, a medical expert who receives government subsidies have been transferred;

Yu, head of a former railroad hospital that is now part of the hospital affiliated with Sun Yat-Sen University was transferred to Beijing a little more than two months ago;

The investigator guesses that the Communist regime is transferring doctors closely involved in the live organ harvesting crimes so people cannot locate them.

Investigation Lead: suspicious full physical exam at the Yanbian Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province

In 2001, authorities at the Yanbian Labor Camp in Jilin Province conducted a full physical exam on more than 80 detained Dafa practitioners. The exams were done at the Yanbian Tuberculosis Hospital during the Mid-Autumn Festival around September 2001.

Investigation Lead: more than 30 patients waiting for upcoming transplant surgeries at the No. 2 People’s Hospital in Shanxi Province

Two kidney transplant surgeries were performed at the No. 2 People’s Hospital in Shanxi Province on August 6, 2006. According to inside information, the kidneys come from an executed male prisoner in his 20s. Right now, more than 30 patients are waiting in the hospital's second floor clinic for upcoming transplant surgeries.

According to an investigation lead published on the Minghui website on July 10, 2006, the Kidney Transplant and Dialysis Center at the No. 2 People’s Hospital in Shanxi Province has carried out more than 600 kidney transplants since its founding in 1992. About 100 kidney transplants were performed in 2005 alone.

Investigation Lead: donor livers used in transplants at the Ditan Hospital come primarily from Shenyang City and Henan Province

The Surgery Department at the Ditan Hospital in Beijing started performing liver transplants in 2005 and has completed 30 transplants to date. Mao Yu, head of the hospital and Mu Yi, head of the Surgery Department, are both chief surgeons. Other doctors who also took part include Jiang Li, Wang Ronghai and Lu Yan. Chen Fan is the head nurse. The livers mostly come from Shenyang City and Henan Province. The cost of each liver transplant is between 160,000 yuan and 200,000 yuan. The hospital's phone number is 10-64211031, ext. 2235; or ask for the hospital office.

The Ditan Hospital in Beijing was listed in the first group targeted for investigation and evidence collection by The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG), as it is one of the locations where Falun Gong practitioners are persecuted.
