Prosecutor's Office (Taiwan): Organ Harvesting Links to Murder (Photo)

August 13, 2006 |

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 31, the "Taiwan Association to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners" sent a letter to all judicial institutions including the courts, prosecutors' offices and police divisions, requesting assistance in investigating illegal trafficking of Falun Gong practitioners' organs. On August 8, the High Court's Prosecutors Office in Kaohsiung issued a letter to the city prosecutor's office, stating that organ harvesting relates to murder as specified in the criminal code, as well as organ transplant regulations. The state office thus requested the local office to process the related issues accordingly.

Subject: Request assistance to investigate illegal organ trafficking of Falun Gong organs

Statement:

This past March, the shocking news that the Chinese Communist Party has set up a concentration camp in Sujiatun to harvest organs from Falun Gong practitioners and slaughter them was exposed to the international community. The well-established "World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong" (founded 0n January 20, 2003) immediately started a wide and in-depth investigation. In addition, the Minghui/Clearwisdom website and the Falun Dafa Association also promptly formed the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong," to investigate these atrocities. The evidence that have been collected is shocking. Investigation shows the following: Organ harvesting is a systematic and widespread crime. The communist regime harvests organs from practitioners and sells them to people from all over the world for profit. Countless individuals from Chinese medical, business, political, military and judicial circles have been involved in these atrocities.

On July 6, former Canadian Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific) David Kilgour and renowned human rights lawyer David Matas released a "Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China"(report attached). This report of a systematic investigation and analysis was widely reported and received great attention (see attachments). The two investigators described the atrocities as "a new form of evil never before seen on this planet." The report disclosed the lies of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassies and confirmed that the organ harvesting allegations are true. In addition, after the report was released, many well-known lawyers in Europe, the U.S. and Taiwan have then joined the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, requesting entry into China to investigate. The Canadian government also publicly stated that it will take the allegations seriously and proceed to investigate this crime. Reportedly, related institutions from the United Nations have also begun their investigation.

Taiwan is currently one of the countries with many citizens going to China for organ transplants. To avoid innocent Taiwanese citizens from unknowingly participating in the CCP's crimes and assisting the regime in slaughtering victims of organ harvesting, we sincerely request your institution to assist us to raise awareness of the atrocities and help prevent citizens from becoming involved in such illegal organ transplants, in order to protect our citizens and reduce the possibility that practitioners are slaughtered.
